Love revolvers. Whadja get? Pictures, of course, or it didn't happen.
Well it didn’t happen. Gun was there but person at counter could not get signed on to computer. Was at store one hour and still could not get signed on. When I complained to store manager he said it was FBI without checking with counter person and hung up on me. Easy decision for me called corporate and canceled order. It was a Ruger Wrangler. I will get one from local gun shop. 5 minutes from my house. Rural King is over 1/2 hour away. I like shopping at RK. But when I want something it always seems to be out of stock. Better shopping closer to home.

56 degrees this morning, going for a high of 70 after that cold front came through yesterday. We got a very heavy, but relatively brief, downpour 3 times for a total of a little over an inch of rain. It's been a long time since we had weather this cool.

The ice maker in the refrigerator has died again. We have a Sears service contract, so day before yesterday I called and was on hold for 12 minutes with no one to talk to, so I hung up and went online. The person I talked to there wanted me to change the water filter, which I do regularly anyway, turn off the ice maker, then turn it back on, and wait a day to see if that wouldn't fix it. I had no expectation for that to work, but I followed directions carefully. So yesterday, I tried going online again and their website didn't work. So I got on the phone again, and after 17 minutes on hold a nice young lady answered. I think she was speaking English, but I wouldn't bet on it. But after asking her to repeat what she'd just said many, many times she finally made an appointment for one of their contractors to come see about the ice maker tomorrow. I've always had good luck with Sears employees on service calls, but only twice have they sent a contractor, and in each case, the contractor had no idea what he was doing and accomplished absolutely nothing. But I'll keep my fingers crossed and hope for the best tomorrow.

I posted the above on the 10th of this month; Thursday. Sure enough on the 11th (Friday), the Sears independent contractor called, and arrived promptly. His name was Miguel, obviously of Hispanic origin which has nothing to do with what I'm saying EXCEPT with my hearing, I have a problem understanding accents. He seemed like a nice guy and appeared to know what he was doing. Once again, I was surprised that he had a new ice maker in his truck. So he replaced the ice maker and left. HOWEVER, it not only made no ice overnight, BUT the refrigerator, below the freezer, was not cooling and was getting warmer all the time. Now Miguel had given me his card, so instead of calling Sears again, I called Miguel. Now it was Saturday and he said he had something he had to do that morning. I'm sure glad we have a refrigerator in the shop so we moved all we could out there, from the house refrigerator. So Sunday morning, Miguel called and then got here about 10:30 a.m. He had some interesting ice maker testing equipment that I'd never seen before, then he took the ice maker out, and removed the back interior of the freezer compartment to get to a little fan that was not turning, and freezer coils that were iced up. Once he turned that fan with his hand, it started spinning. So he unplugged the refrigerator to let those coils thaw out, and he removed that little fan and lubricated the hub, put everything back together and was done in just about one hour. And everything has been working just fine since.

The refrigerator is 15 years old, so Saturday I did a little online shopping for a new one, but Miguel says this one should be good to go for a long time yet.

Thomas, congrats on painting complete.
It would take me a day to get stuff moved in order to start painting 1 ceiling.
Do you cover everything in tarps?

Another busy day. Traffic getting heavier going to work.

And getting too dark to do much after work.

I want a 38. Wish MD didn’t make it next to impossible for law abiding people to buy a handgun.

Had Styx rocking in the car on way home. Ears still ringing.

Never owned a boat. Used to visit a friend on Leesville lake, down buppies way, that had a boat we would ride on. They lived here in a townhouse and had a weekend cabin on the lake.

Good evening all. 70F for the start, overcast, calm wind. Light wind day, variable cloudy skies, and high temp 86F. walk with wife, bike ride, nap, then work on fridge coils this evening. Had to blow the middle coils off, just can't get to them with brush and vacuum. Fridge cooling much better now. :)
Covid update: Cooke 384 confirmed cases, 31 active cases, Montague 160 confirmed cases, 9 active cases, Grayson unchanged.

PJ hope you don't get too much rain.
RS sounds like a good day, hope you did not get stung before the weed burner get them.

RNG hope the van does well in the smog test, nice to hear about progress on the fire front.
Drew yeah on the phone call. Brother's boat is a Cigarette Tiger 42 twin supercharged 572's top speed 92+. No need for laxatives after that kind of speed.

46 going to a sunny 72. Heat pump is working nicely. Going to need the main furnace for the weekend. High 30's in the forecast for the nights. Will probably lose the garden with this cold.
Have a few small jobs to putter with around the house but mostly will be a quiet week. Might start digging out the falling leaves equipment to get ready.
Stay safe and healthy everyone!
21 Thomas' days to go.

Our dogs mope pretty much every evening while The Wife is gone. They all three lay out in the sunroom pouting, waiting for her to come home. Apparently, she's more fun than I am.View attachment 669723

PJ, I can relate to that. No matter how short the absence, Max will always make a big fuss over my wife on her return.

I can be out all day with scarcely a tail wag when I get back, unless I happen to smell of sheep, other dogs, or best of all, wabbits.
