Dr appointment somewhat a non event. Looks like my back pain is likely a strained muscle. Continue taking ibuprofen and take it easy awhile. I suggested maybe 6 months and she laughed. Back in 2 weeks if no improvement.
Otherwise was able to talk her into the mail in version of colonoscopy exam which I’m due. No history or concerns from previous exams so prefer not to be drinking 10 gallons of prep.

Good evening all. 78F for the start, light rain, trace in t rain gauge, calm wind. Overcast morning, clearing in afternoon, wind 13-20 around noon, and high temp was 93F feels like 104F. walk with wife to start day, then worked on Peugeot, got handle bar tape done. Looked at installing bike computer, decide to go for ride instead. Will wait until more time in saddle with new parts before install. Did get nap in, helped wife make spaghetti sauce and had that for dinner.

David (MFW), hope it all comes together.

Another vote for not liking packing. That痴 why I tell everyone my next move won稚 require packing, just scatter my ashes in the pet cemetery.

Amen. Just not ready for that yet...

50 right now...high in the mid-70's...

Thanks for all the best wishes, folks! I'll be work half day, then heading to the hospital. I know I won't get the results back today, but I will when they come through (by Friday, I would think)

About 5-6 weeks ago, I think I wrote about finding a lady's wallet in a local quickstop parking lot. Took about a week or so, but we finally tracked her down, through her son in southern Virginia and got her wallet (with about $200 in it, and picss of her grand kids) back to her. We got a card and a very sweet thank you note from her yesterday. It was a very pleasant surprise...note almost brought me to tears

Amen. Just not ready for that yet...

Me either LOL

I think one of our worst moves, in Germany we moved from one 3rd floor quarters to another just across the block. Mandatory move from unit slated for renovation to unit just completed. Nice but what a pain.

good morning all. 73 going up to high 80s today, cloudy, maybe some showers.
Last night for several hours it lightly pitter pattered on the roof, not in forecast, but sounded nice.
Looks like a mostly dry week ahead.

Roy that was nice of you to do to help that lady, a real kindness.

other than run to pharmacy this morning, not much planned.
Dennis, good luck with the mower, hope you find all the little pieces
RS hope your poison ivy is healing

Well! Flooring is going great. floorinstall.jpgmasterfloorhall.jpgmasterfloor.jpg
1 room complete and hopefully the 2 smaller rooms today.
Air install still not right. Thermostat refuses to talk to unit. Several calls to Bosch and HP have resulted in no progress. This thermostat is needed in order to qualify for a substantial rebate, but not looking good for me.
Tech has been great as he was here all day sunday and most of the day yesterday. All free so far. Hopefully will be back today to finish.
Now that it is starting to get cold nights the oil burner has started with an issue. That tech is coming this afternoon.(will have 3 different companies here) I need to retire soon just to make the house available for repairs. LOL.
Hope everyone stays safe and healthy. Wish me luck on the repairs!

Phil, not quite like the old Honeywell rotary thermostat is it?......
floor looks nice

Watch a 5-HP Tractor Blast Around the Nurburgring
Maybe David/Sodamo knows a little German and can follow this but here's what you do with the biggest tractor in town and some free time
on your hands...
Smooth is good here, bet one could roll that tractor at speed if not careful, though they probably come with stability control now.
Personally I'd rather watch a tractor pull

Waiting for first cup of coffee to cool 57° with clear skies this morning. Heading to 83° with afternoon thunderstorms. Finished up painting and cleaned up tools and other. Aunt and I are going site seeing today. No real plans. Just drive around the country side.
Finally got a picture of turkey and her chick. I am sure it is not my neighbors Guinea.

Roy, good luck with Scan. Good story about wallet.

Phil, My Honeywell thermostat has a built in delay for AC. It is activated after every run cycle. Can really confuse getting things to work. I think it is 15 minutes. Floor looks good.

MFW, I have been in my place 48 years. Thought it would be nice to move to a smaller place. Then remembered all the stuff that has been collected during those years. Plan is let my sons figure it out.

David, hope your back gets better.

LS, cart looks good. I got a small tank for my MiG welder. Wish I had gotten a larger one. Always seems to need refilling.

Mostly, working on bike is a good rainy day project. Getting a new TV?

Kyle, good luck with check physical.

PJ, place looks great. Now for grass to grow.

Gotta get going.

Everyone be healthy and safe.

Good Morning All.

I didn’t set any nascar records getting the tires off. At least I knew how since I had the transmission out 2 yrs ago. Unfortunately there is no drain, you have to remove the air vent plug and flip to drain.

Why not drill and tap the bottom and install a plug? Then you can change it regularly.

“LS, cart looks good. I got a small tank for my MiG welder. Wish I had gotten a larger one. Always seems to need refilling.”

To be honest, I bought my current wire feed welder 8 years ago and the tank has never had shielding gas in it. I find flux core gives really good penetration, just doesn’t look as pretty, but I guess I’m more grinder than welder.

Good morning! 81˚F before sunrise, it's cloudy so hopefully we will stay under 100˚F. heading to the garden to continue working (a little bit at a time) on the root barrier trench. The barrier should be here Thursday (30 mil 25'X12"). I haven't seen any roots lower than 6" and I really don't want to dig deeper than a foot. The SIG leader is also calling for help with a tiller. Like Buckeyes's transmission it has no drain and must be turned upside down. On my 3rd Z I insisted that the transmission had a drain, live and learn . . .

66°F and cloudy this morning, going up to 78° today. Looks like we're starting to get into the roller coaster temperatures already; 87° by the end of the week, then back to the 60s and 70s next week. Expecting some rain here this afternoon.

Wife and I are marking our 17/7 anniversary today; 17 years back together, 7 of them married. Planning to celebrate with dinner this weekend at the winery where we were married. Luckiest guy on the planet.

Good luck with the test, Roy.

Floor looks good, Phil. Nice work.

Good morning, 69 going up to 82 and cloudy- bit of rain last night

PJS - That Pond setup looks great and should be more manageable, and deep enough to really use.
LS - nice cart, you did that quick-still expecting to see side burners :)
BEF - Tranny drain is turn upside down. They didn't plan on much maintenance.
RNG - brownouts from large inductive loads-We used to use large Capacitors to undo that for our large building generators-size of coffee cans
David - glad it's just a muscle pull -alternates are not fun
Roy - Good work on the wallet!
Phil - it looks like you need scheduling software to deal with the service people-hope this gets resolved soon. Floor looks great
Ron - Great turkey picture-the ones I see are always off at the end of the brush and impossible to photo with my phone.

Stay safe and be well

RNG, not sure how much more they'll spend on the old compressor.....But they are claiming they need the desiccant dryer for the best air for testing fuel cells. I'm not sure just how low of a dewpoint they need, but also coalescing filtration for oil free air too.

No mention of a refrigerant based dryer? Or maybe cold is just the first step to drop out the water? Hard to imagine that a desiccant would be enough, or have the capacity. As long as there's a rotor or piston involved, there will be some oil in the air, too. Be interesting to see what they end up with, and how they measure the output to know it's working.

And yes, you do end up with the coolest junk!:cool2:
