just talked to my wife, she's diligently pushing her IV pole up and down the hallways; boy does she want out of there, but it will be another three days at least. My heart is really warmed by all your good wishes, too many to list, but you know.

When I had my little heart attack and subsequent stent put in my heart, I wanted to get out of the hospital so badly I was walking the halls to show them I was ready to go home. The nurses threatened to give me a dust mop so I could do some useful work.:laughing: I'm thrilled to hear that your wife is so aggressively working to come home.:thumbsup:

We never lost power but that was because I tested the generator and got it working well! Got my siding back on, didn't lose too many limbs for 60-65 mph winds. Got to my shop and had more siding to put back. It amazes me, I got there and they're standing looking at the siding then at me, I picked it up snapped it back in and went in the door. DUH! I wonder how some people manage to eat and breath at once.

61 this morning and still no power, lots of trees down and thousands without power. Wind gusts to almost 70 mph along with quick one half inch of rain. Generator keeping well and fridge on no ac though

Power update estimated to come back on by Monday at earliest. Generator gives us the basics for which we are very thankful but it is a thirsty beast about fifteen gallons of fuel a day. Was like a spring day with highs in 70s and low humidity. Almost got done out of town job today will finish Monday then local work for a day or two. Good evening all. As soon as her pardon goes through (from that stent in NJ) she can come back to the State with all the rights and privileges of a Native Texan. The biggest privilege, of course is she can proudly display the Native Texan bumper sticker! Of course, as the husband, you can tag along. By her coming home you can go from one season to three and get reacquainted to the beautiful snakes!

Good morning! At 79˚ before sunrise this is the warmest morning of the year! This month my water bill will be higher than my electric bill but I can see green. Hmm.... I have to loose green to get green....isn't there some kind of physics law about things equaling out....
