It's a wonderful June morning here at 64 F and a nice breeze blowing under cloudy skies. We had a nice storm move through at about 3 AM with heavy rain and a lightning show, but no hail. I got 1.9" of rain, making this a rare start to June. Of course, this is just a tease because we are supposed to be approaching the 100 F mark next week. I have to enjoy this while I can. In the meantime, I think I hear my garden dancin' a jig this morning. I don't even care that I'll have to apply insecticide again soon since it all washed away.

One of my wife's brothers told of having a finger like that many years ago. His wife heated a needle in the flame of a cigarette lighter, then stuck right in there. I understand there was a lot of screaming and such, but he said it actually quit hurting pretty quickly and did relieve the pressure.

Ouch! Aren't hot needles under/through fingernails against the Geneva Convention?:confused3:

good morning 61 degrees and rain looks like heavy rain today and friday. no hay going up this week end. thats ok i heed time for my big black bird to heal some.View attachment 321290 it hurts and no i ain't drilling a hole in it [ouch]. everyone have a great day and stay dry.

I caught one in a snowblower and it looked like that. Doctor at the emergency room drilled a small hole in it and we stayed up all night picking the hole to remove clotting blood. The next day we went to the crusty old family doctor. He just ripped the nail off. Hurt like the dickens or worse. For a few minutes.

Sunny with a high of 25C/77F.
Cleaned up around my new meat coop and cut most of the lawns yesterday, just have our back lawn to cut today.

Toppop
, nice looking deck.

Thanks to you and farmgirl, I'm not a carpenter and it shows, but as we get older we acquire more skills and ingenuity that allow us to do things we don't really have the know how for. And I ain't a carpenter no how!:D

66F, .15 in rain since midnight, but I see some sun trying to peek thru

Nice looking deck - good job.

Got a fair amount of mowing done yesterday, but hope to finish the main areas today so I can get back to my tractorshed expansion project.
Have a great day.

But not to worry, last week I got the other side when my power screwdriver slipped and my finger caught it. Almost healed now. :)

Took the last picture today of my meat coop I have been working on.
Basically I filled in the back half of my 12 X 28 chicken coop.
Have a door and window on the back as well. Inside I put a door that goes from the egg laying chicken coop storage room that is in the front of the coop and that will be our main entry/exit for the meat coop. So didn't have to build a second food/water storage room. Got a fan up high to vent out the hot air and have 4 heat lamps setup inside the meat coop. Do plan on painting it the same as the egg laying side as soon as I get "around tuit".:laughing:

You and David (HI David), are doing some very nice work. My carpentry skills are minimal at best. I can fab steel, fiberglass and build you a VW fender from a pie plate and body filler, upholster your sofa and install a convertible top, run most simple equipment like front end loader, backhoe, etc...But carpentry is not my long suit. I ain't a plumber, nor electrician. However none of that stops me from doing it anyway! :D

Mid 50's around 80 later, heavy rain tomorrow.

Got all but the 2 small rails on my deck last night, getting there slowly. Still gotta do lattice and other minor tweaks. It's only 12' x 16', but working alone is sloooowwwww! And no, that isn't my permanent deck furniture! While I realize two of them are "deck chairs", they go on a different deck. :D

Randy that is a fine looking deck. now get you one of those rectractable awning's and a glider and when it rain's do some serious napping.

LOL, I can relate.
Not gonna take pics, but barring any incidents, I'm maybe a month away from 10 toenails that look normal. Been about 7 years since last time.

Poured first cup of coffee. 52° with cloud this morning. Heading to 69° with clouds all day. Grand kids arrived on time yesterday. Grand Daughter and her parents had a long night traveling from Seattle the long way threw Phoenix. Was a fun day even though they very were tired.
Good Morning All
