Good morning!!!!

Good morning, the temp is 43°F and going to a high of 65. Wind E 9 mph. Increasing cloudiness.

I am with RNG regarding a separate BH. I would love to have a track hoe, but I cannot justify the cost compared to the amount of work it would do. The BH on the tractor makes an excellent counterweight, too.

I managed to finally get the grass cut yesterday.

Today I am slowly getting my act together for going away for 5-6 months.

At last count we have about 7 million Litres (1,851,851 US gallons) split between two of us to haul and the crew to lay. That'll keep me busy and probably out of trouble all summer.
I was talking to the other guy that hauls with me and he broke the bad news to me that the parent company (we got sold out) installed yet another GPS tracking system in my truck. I guess I will have to buy another roll of tinfoil. Now that might be in preparation for E-logs which so far are not required by us, unless we go into the U.S. They are not required by me at all. I don't truck to the 'states anymore.

Have a safe and healthy day all

65 degrees this morning going for a high of 80. The rain kept going off and on, or light rain right on until after midnight last night. My gauge showed that I got about 5.97" in just over 2 days. But the forecast now is for nothing but clear, sunny weather this week.

Got the new church camera mounted on it痴 bracket.
Then grilled some hotdogs, wife roasted carrots and potatoes, and we ate out on the deck. Gorgeous day.
Then planted tomatoes, peppers, cantaloupes and cabbage plants.
Beans, potatoes and corn starting to come up.

Had trouble with weeds last year, so I ordered that same fabric from Lowes...black 6 ft. x 100 ft rolls with the 1 ft green stripes...also cut holes for the plants. We are a little behind you...just planted the beans yesterday.

"Rick, I was up and scrolled past that Iron Reconstruction, but I opted to watch Sheryl Crow on Audience."

Audience? Is that a cable channel? I watch AXS (DISH #167) often.

You missed a really good "Iron Resurrection" build on a '50 Mercury Kyle. It was an "old school" retro mod.

I was up, too...saw Iron Resurrection on the guide, but decided to watch "Successful Farming" from the DVR...I like the show, but it puts me back to sleep pretty reliably.

63 and showers just ended. Going to 74.

Got the grass all mowed in a race to beat the t-storm, which never came.

We have a hummingbird feeder hanging where I can drive the Zero turn ROPS under it, but must drive carefully between obstacles or will hit it. I got the first side cleared, but on the second side saw a Coco tennis ball hiding in the grass at the last second so did an avoidance maneuver, and of course spilled sugar water all over me and the mower. Drove to the hose and washed the mower, jumper on and kept mowing for 2 hours.

Did a dump run, and filled the diesel can...I think I see the same young kid drive up and fuel his silver Civic every time I go to that gas station.

My mom turned 89 yesterday. Still lives alone and is quite sharp...what happened to me? She is taking the covids very seriously.

Coffee is done brewing. 52° with cloudy skies this morning. Heading to 60° with rain and thunderstorm all day. Got lawn mowed yesterday. Some weed killing before wind came up. Hope to get some garden pond maintenance in today before rain. May watch first sport event in awhile this afternoon. NASCAR.
Female duck likes to hide in rocks.

Drew Prayers that Dr's find what your issues are and get them under control.

Roy, my son borrowed my 40 volt chain saw yesterday. Gave him the same instructions. Do not force it. Let it do its own cutting. I try to do and undercut on a branch that is high up. Before cutting from the top/side.

RNG, my BH has it's own seat. Sent the Air 2 video to my Son. He ordered one yesterday. I will probably not get anything from him for my birthday or Fathers Day this year. :D

Mostly, lot of rain. Hope things dry out.

Wngsprd, Does sugar water help keep you cool while mowing. ;)

Prayers and best and wishes for everyone.

Good Morning All.

if you sprinkle corn meal around where you keep your wood, you will not have seen or unseen ants.

Thanks for info I'll give it try.

50 going to a cloudy 67 today.
Mower swap went great. Glad I grabbed some pics before removal last year. Made it easy to put each rod in the correct spot and orientation.
Had time to remove some of this winters crop of stones from the yard. One of them was to big to move and I had to grab the tractor.(yah! tractor time). Might put down weed and feed today...might rest and relax.

Stay safe and healthy everyone.

Thomas:Tic..tic.. little over 4 months left.
Phone app says 101 work days. I have 6 weeks vacation I will burn up too.

Ron, is that the duck almost at the center of the picture 2 flat stones up from the water?

We have winner  that should teach me to wear my glasses. ;)

I agree whole heatedly, but remember that my old backhoe sat for years before a need arose to go to the considerable trouble to put it back on the tractor. From that perspective, it's pretty hard to justify a whole machine that spends most of its life standing around unused. But that's just me, and I'm sure it's really easy for a lot of you to find ways to use a backhoe several times a week!

I could store my non-existent backhoe .. right next to my non-existent wood chipper?

Good morning. It's 64° with 90% humidity and light winds. Forecast says 87° for our high today then .. in the 90's for rest of the week.

I didn't get around to getting the rear finish mower ready to go so .. that's probably first on list today. Then a bit more work on the rolling ladder.

We resume our drills, at our VFD, tomorrow night after 6 weeks without. We have continued our apparatus checks but, in two man teams at separated times. We've only had one call out since the Covid stuff started and that was to support Columbus VFD, with our tanker, at a structure fire out in the country.

Hope everyone has a restful Sunday.

Prayers to all.

Good morning! 64˚F partly cloudy.

My new dentist call to confirm my appt for next week. I should say in the car till texted.

My allotted time for the Garden is this afternoon, between the rain and the brush clearing I missed my last two sessions. The schedule puts a bed and a row between people working their gardens. If the ground is dry enough I'll fire up the tractor and re-supply the mulch piles next to the garden beds.

The pickle ball courts have opened up but I hear they got a warning on being too close and they won't be getting a second warning - next time they get shut down. The dog park people are bitting at the heels to get it opened. Whipper does not do the dog park - she does not get along well with other canines.

Card club is still closed and my wife's language class has opened on Zoom. The language club is looking for more instructors to start smaller classes, wife volunteered to teach 101.

Went to Home depot yesterday, they did not have bird spikes but I got some PVC to put an aeration tube in my compost bin. I decided to forget the ugly bird spikes and just build a decretive lintel that has no ledge for the birds to sleep on. At HD most of the customers and employees are no longer wearing face mask, They are sill counting people going in and I had to wait about 5 minutes. They are still practicing social distancing at the checkout.

RNG My kubota 5030's BH90 was mounted the same way your hoe is mounted. I usually put it on once a year for 3 months and then took it off to put the 3 pt hitch on the rest of the year for other implements and jobs.

Rick my phone pager went off yesterday the VFD in Lee county are starting to have meetings again also. I Miss the fires, not so much the meetings.

I had an advantage there. One knowing where ducks like to nest and wearing my glasses.
Ducks will sleep and nest on land real close to the water. Water is their 'safe place'.
