. The river Severn has reached the top of both permanent and temporary flood barriers, though to the annoyance of some tv producers, they are still holding. I wouldn't want to be standing behind this temporary barrier if it did give way.

Our Severn river isn’t flooding.

Good morning to all! A low of 7 this morning and a heavy frost. Going up to 46 today, sunny, and the start of warmer weather for the weekend. NO WIND! YIPPEE!

Drew, glad your dinner with friends went well. Take it easy today!

Ron, good luck with the training.... Sassy could be very demanding. Post some pictures when she returns from the groomer, she is so cute!

Don, where are you?

Jay, you too?

LFN, if you go stand nekkid out in the snow.... you will weigh less....

I have a plumbing project for today... I will let everyone know if I got everything that was needed when I was at the store. I went over the list at least 3 times when making it, and the same number when picking everything up.

More gravel is coming this morning... in about 15 minutes... so gotta go get ready.

Everyone have a great day!

Saw a black squirrel as I was leaving work yesterday.
Rainy yucky drive home last night. Wipers making a really loud sound on the return. Picked up wiper arm this morning and the whole blade fell off.
Fortunately I had new ones on hand. Good thing I didn’t let my wife take the truck to VA.

I still got a cough after 3 weeks.

I did file my taxes on Sunday.

Eric, I hope the levee doesn't break.

I wonder if Don will come out if I mention the new instant pot air fryer/ pressure cooker?

Roy hope you're feeling better soon.

Prayers for all.

If any of you are in the Texas 13th congressional district, I’ve met Ronnie Jackson who is running. Just saw him on the news.

My scale pics are on my phone, right where they are going to stay. You guys will just have to accept the fact that I jump on the scales nekkid, take a pic of the scale head and my feet. That is ALL that can be seen, thankfully.

30°F and snowing this morning, going up to 35° today. Judging by the radar and what we already have, we'll maybe get an inch of accumulation at most out of this one. Drive to work was slow. Interstate highways were just wet, but everything else was a slushy mess. Picture is westbound on Ellis Rd. just west of St. Jacob IL.

Forecast says 60° by Sunday.

Hope all is well with Don.

Well, hopefully not a sign of things to come today, the second gravel truck broke down in the driveway while trying to dump the stone. He got the tailgate to release, but the hydraulic lift for the dump was frozen. It would not lift at all. He could not go back to the shop because the tailgate was open.....

They sent out a mechanic and he added some antifreeze stuff into the air lines. Got it to work after an hour here in the driveway.

WooHoo! More gravel! It is still too cold out to play on the tractor, only 30 currently. I will give it another hour and see if it warmed up a bit.

64°F and .36 inches rain. Hoping today’s wx is repeat of yesterday’s as it should result in my roof installed by end of day.

Took carport helpers and wives to appreciation dinner last night. A very good time and if comments are to be believed the lobster was excellent. I know mine was.

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day

The past few nights I have been woken up by leg cramps, and it rained just hard enough last night to become sleep disruptive. Today's low was a drizzly, foggy, showery 35ºF; and a foggy 38ºF presently which may be today's high temperature. In the calm of early morning I watched the fog roll down my snow/icepacked sloped field and as temperatures warmed and the gradient winds kicked in (~5mph) it rolled back up the slope. I see a lot of cold rain in my near term future.

A whole lot of nothing has been going on in addition to my acquired domestic duties around here. I finally got around to going through the process of getting a new compressor for our SelectComfort® bed. It's a two day process with long waiting call queues. I had to switch hoses around and change connecting air bladder nipples, but I "proved" that the compressor was bad. The new replacement will be our fourth compressor. My PV system is still down (since 2.08.2020). A repair tech crew came out yesterday to determine the problem(s) and effect repairs. They had a 2 hour one way drive to get here and did not have the required part. They will be back this Friday and will replace the defective part and do a full review of the entire PV system. The good news is that there will be $0 charge for service and/or parts. Today our HVAC service is coming to service our propane furnace.

Wifey is doing much better with her range of motion and strength building, but with her limited grip strength she would still present as a risk to self handling any of our kitchen cutlery or driving. She and I both appreciate the +'s.

I have been following the ebb and flow of all the health and project concerns, related irritations, and ongoing progression. A lot of "stuff" happens here.

My + thoughts, wishes, and prayers.

Unexpected good time this morning...

I am preparing for leaving my job, part of that is to clean up email and files. I just finished permanently deleting 20k + emails, most of my email folders. I'm not planning on transferring a bunch of emails to the folks taking over my workload.. but I have moved a bunch of files to a folder on my OneDrive to transfer..

I just got a really happy feeling when I was deleting emails.. lots of history for sure. My 'sent' folder had 9,000 emails.
