Wishing you many many more trips around the sun Coco. :)

RNG, I had to go back to see what everyone was talking about with incline. Somehow that did not show up on my iPad. Very steep. What is building for next to house. Shop?

That's an office trailer I purchased almost ten years ago as "temporary" storage, Ron. It's mostly full of Vanagon camper parts, and stuff being kept on hand because of the "never throw anything away" creed I try to adhere to.

Epidural on neck finally scheduled for this Friday, having challenges getting a ride, they won't let me drive home. Calling around, hope someone is available. They don't allow cabs either. Earliest time I can get consult with neurosurgeon for lower back is April 1. Things sure move slowly here. Meanwhile I am working on finding the surgeon who did my neck surgery at U.Penn 10 years ago. That hospital is probably my first choice for serious surgery. I want to hear what the local guys says but will likely hunt down my own doc. Epidural doc not critical, not much downside there, but lower back surgery has some risk to it. Which is why when I go up to PA in a few weeks, one of my stops there is at local Quaker continuing care facility, my Plan B if surgery does not go well.

My how life can change rapidly...just trying to be prepared for Plan A and Plan B.

Hope that procedure brings relief, Drew, and I really appreciate the difficulty in getting rides. I was able to convince the surgeon that did my last one to keep me in the hospital an extra day until I could drive myself home, but that's not an option for most outpatient procedures. I've been tempted to round up a street person and give 'em fifty bux to come and spring me next time...:confused2:

Good Morning!!!! 60F @ 5:30AM. Abundant sunshine. High 77F. Winds NNW at 10 to 15 mph.

Managed to piece together a plumber's nightmare of electrical conduit fittings yesterday and end up with something I hope will reach past the upper terrace from the generator pad. It's about 30' long, and when I tried to move it into position after gluing the last 10' section of conduit in place, the glue let go and that section came off. It was past time for lunch anyway, so I glued it again and just left it alone for overnight, so fingers crossed it doesn't come out again. I was happy and more than a little relieved that the propane line was still holding pressure when I checked. In fact, it even gained a few PSI as the day warmed.:dance1:

Picked up more propane pipe and PVC couplers in town yesterday, hopefully all that's needed to complete the projects. But plumbing jobs never quite go the way you plan. My record is 11 trips to the hardware store over one weekend when I ran black iron for compressed air lines at the last home...

Drew .. hope you're able to get a ride to your procedure. No cabs?
Choice number one too busy, second choice, even better, because he will absolutely show up on time, which
female number one never does...my fireman next door neighbor, luckily, is off that morning. Yeah.
Rick, cab drivers won't sit in waiting room, which is required, so they are prohibited. Whoever brings you must sit there the whole time.
You can clearly see whose time is valued, and it sure isn't mine...Over last 10+ years, have had a dozen of these, all with
good results, but too bad numbing effect doesn't last longer than 6-9 months. They won't do my lower back at same time, plus said everything was so jammed in there they weren't sure that lumbar injection could be done without some pain. Fluid has to go somewhere...

Rain has stopped, headed downtown to pay my bill at hot tub place for new insulated cover, then to food store to get the things I forgot the first time.

39°F and light rain this morning, dropping through the day to 30° this evening. Rain is supposed to change over to snow around 7-ish tonight, and fall into tomorrow. 0-3" accumulation predicted.

Ron, one of the main reasons my Wife prefers to train at the home is that she gets to see how the dogs (and owners) react in their own comfortable environment. I think you and Sassy will benefit much more from in-home training than from just going to a big pet store group session.

11 trips, RNG? I don't feel so bad now. I hate plumbing jobs. Nothing ever goes as planned. Nothing. Half-a-dozen trips to the store is not uncommon for me either.

Good morning to all! Low of 13, going up to only 38 today. The sun was shining bright a little while ago. I saw some neat clouds and even said to the wifey “ those look like it is raining over there “ , 10 minutes later and it is snowing outside. Then the sun is peeking through again, then snowing.... I can deal with just flurries!

The vet trip yesterday was the quickest ever... took longer to drive there than how long the appointment took. We walked in, Max went to the back, and by the time we sat down, they brought him back out! Ear infection clearing nicely, he got another dose of antibiotic drops in his ears. Last follow up next week.

I remembered his appointment yesterday morning and had to delay the “ gravel drop “ until after we got home. I figured an hour and a half.... we were back home in 45 minutes. The truck finally showed up and I soon realized that I would need another “ fix “ .... or two.... I tried getting a couple more loads yesterday afternoon, but the soonest will be tomorrow. That’s ok, too cold outside today to play on the tractor.

I may try and work on the end table doors, or, do some errands, or something else? Just one of those days so far....

The plumbing escapades sound familiar..... it always takes multiple trips to get the fittings needed. I think that is why every plumbing truck that I have ever seen has more fittings in it than the local hardware store! It must be the nature of the job.

Everyone have a great day!

23F this morning, dentist appt to finish up cleaning, 2 cavities and 2 permanent crowns. Should be good for awhile again then.

I appeared to be locked out of my company computer this morning.. tried pin for virtual badge several times, tried password several times, decided to call help desk instead of hammering on it until it locked my account. The automated system indicated technical issues with my account, then transferred me to agent. He checked my account, said it looked good, not locked, what is exact error message... I said let my try logging in again and get that for you, but my pin worked and I was able to get in... not sure if my fingers were entering wrong information or if my keyboard had a problem or if my account had a problem. No worries, all working again now.. I have had some issues with password in the last several months..

I have a couple of external disks on my work computer (that I own) for backup, etc. They are encrypted using Bitlocker and the big drive (8TB Seagate) takes almost a week to encrypt or decrypt so I started decrypt yesterday so I could have the drives unencrypted when I remove them. I will clean them up and use them on personal computers (don't usually encrypt personal drives)..

Asked wife to come home for a few days so we can wrap up taxes, pay some bills, do some retirement planning, etc. She indicated perhaps she would come home Wednesday for a few days.. It will good to see her. Her dad is doing great and she needs to rest a few days in addition to items above..

FIL lungs clear, off prescription pain meds, moved to normal room (out of ICU), sitting up some. They decided he also has 3 broken ribs.. explains some of the extra pains.

Folks are busy for sure, lots to catch up on each day..

RNG, you've taken on a big project with the solar and generator, hoping it all comes together with minimal (no issues even better) issues.

David, I bet you are glad to be mostly done with carport and concrete..

Drew, sorry about your trips and medical issues.. when you talk about back pain and epidural injections, I understand.. my issues were minor but that pain is crippling..

Stay safe, prayers for all

paid my bill at pool company, got there at 10am.
No one there, lights off. Sigh.
UPS guy said she was around back supervising unloading of big incoming stock order.
I drove around, chatted with her, said she would be right there, and she was.
Bought some supplies and off I went to supermarket for bagels and sour cream, which I forgot yesterday.
I personally love sour cream on baked potatoes, has to be less fattening than a big blob of sweet cream butter.
Buttered ones mighty good too.
Since my grandfather made his living selling butter and eggs in Newark NJ, I am partial to butter, and put extra in all kinds of
bakery goods I make. But I don't eat much myself.

When I owned my Radio Shack store, we always tried to open the door, lights on, stereos playing softly, by 5 minutes to the hour.
No one likes to wait, and I think we are more impatient now, for any number of reasons.
But if the door opens early, and someone is waiting, you just scored a good PR point with that customer.

Drew, and all you others suffering ailments, prayers for you. My cold or whatever it is, got much better overnight. Still scratchy but much better, less mucus and junk. I feel ok, never really felt that bad. I started gargling with salt water, that seemed to help a bunch. Still a little tender in my ear and throat on that side, but a major improvement.

Been to the bank, and set up some paperwork for the tractor and auto insurance.

53 and rain showers this morning, showers continue for the afternoon, mild through tomorrow, then 2-3 cold days, followed by a big warm up.

Have a good day guys!

63°F and .22 inches rain

A quick trip into town and HD this morning and hope rain stops so I can continue on from yesterday getting Simpson hangars installed etc.

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day

and keep washing your hands, even more important now.

daugen; I prefer sweet butter on my baked potatoes and sour cream on my steak. I was raised with milk and meat at almost every supper. Never did get out of the habit.

it's very traditional...Bill, this begs the question, politely, how is your cholesterol? Do you need to take statins like I do?

Nope. I take no pills. MJ only. last nights' supper was turkey pies and scallops (deep fried potatoes) and mushy peas. Mostly a vegetarian meal except for the turkey.
