Good afternoon all. this morning temp was 52F forecast high is 70F sun and wind 28+ out of the south.

Sodamo know how you feel, wife work in Alaska for one summer. got to fly up twice to see her, we were ready to spend time together when she got home :cool2::dance1::thumbsup:

Temp began at 55 this morning. I managed to get the rest of the tomato and pepper plants in, and hoed 48 feet of the 72 needed for the okra patch. Anyone who says hoeing is not a good workout, doesn't have a big enough garden! I have spent 8 hours over the last 2 days, hoeing. I'll get the okra seed in tomorrow. Will be good eating this summer, so worth it!

Was planning to mow the lawn this afternoon, but think I might put that off until tomorrow too, since I do the lawn with the push mower. Not easy to get the riding mower through the fence, and it is only 1/2 an acre, so not too bad.

I do know how many CDs one can listen to while hoeing though. I found myself hoeing and dancing to Roger Miller! :laughing:

FINALLY ! We are going to hit 70 deg today....Yipeeee. !!!! I hate the cold...anything below 60 deg. is cruel and unusual punishment and is illegal in the South...We are supposed to start hitting 80 deg. next week...I can't wait...I am happy all the way up to and past 100 deg. vs. anything under 60 deg...I would never make it up in Yankee land...no way....

Central Ohio is finally going to be in the mid 60's so I put in some edible pod peas, 100 glad bulbs and am about ready to put in some Romaine lettuce and carrots. Having lived in Northern New England for many years, nice weather in April is a joy. We used to wait another six weeks for what we have right now.

One of the Facebook friends I have sent me a message on 3/29 and told me I had been banned here...I told him it wasn't April Fools day yet. Well the other day he messaged me on FB and said I had been reinstated here...I wasn't going to waste my time on TBN if they would ban me for no reason at all. Today I checked my PM's and I got an apology from Muhammad, he told me that the moderator who banned me WAS WRONG TO DO THAT as only he (Muhammed) had the authority to ban long term members. Very thoughtful. But I am still waiting for an apology from the moderator who has a grudge against me and wrongly banned me. Until I see that, bye, guys.

Posting blatant spam or pornography....JEEZE, whoever messaged me with that didn't even have the guts to give me the real reason they banned me...:laughing: :laughing: :laughing: I didn't post spam or ****...merely inquired about censorship.

I don't know if it matters in youre case, but I had my email hacked last year, and everybody on my addy list got porno spam. Now everybody thinks I'm the Viagra / **** / pervert. Pisses me off, I never have needed Viagra!!

Thanks for the link! I can add it to my collection! I have listened to Willie Nelson, Dwight Yoakum, Roger Miller, Roseanne Cash, Marty Robbins, and more in the last 2 days, while hoeing. I usually listen to them drinking a beer, but they helped keep my mind off of my muscles that were telling me that I had forgotten about them over the winter!

We're just back from whirlwind trip to Chesapeake, VA and Elizabeth City, NC. 400 miles round trip, a is it to late brother's daughter and to my oldest brother. Went to two cemeteries 50 miles apart and had a late lunch at Cracker Barrel.

Down here just last month we had an incident where someone hacked into an ISP (Yahoo/xtra). Harvested everybodies addressed from their accounts and then spammed all and sundry. Everybody on my list in there (including me) got an email from me. I think they got into over 200,000 accounts and I, along with 75,000 others, had to change our passwords.

Could this be what happened to you ???

I kind of said that and I do not have a big enough garden. But I think I said it is not a good cardiac exercise (or at least insinuated that).

I think you proved me right if you can also dance (and sing) while hoeing.

I will put hoeing on the cardiac exercise list If you tell me your heart rate and how long you sustained that elevated heart rate while hoeing. I can wait a few weeks for the weeds to return but then I will be expecting a report. :reminder:
