Andrew always nice to hear from you.

Don't remember hearing from Irv lately. And we aren't forgetting Ed.
You too Larro. And Mossroads. And our buddies from New Zealand and Australia.

Still don't understand why there isn't anyone from Mexico, Central or South America here. Net availability I'm sure is
an issue.

52 going to 83...yesterday got to 85 on a 77 forecast, so who knows what we'll get today before the big storm hits tomorrow.

Ron, I haven't seen any lanternflies but I had read an article to keep an eye out for them.

Andrew, nice to have you and your goats back. We used to milk our goats.

Thomas and Jay, I've been getting bears on my trail cams again the past week. Fortunately none have come closer than 100 yards to the house (that I know of!).

Good Morning!!!! 56F @ 4:30AM. Sunny. High 83F. Winds light and variable.

Hope all of our less frequent visitors are well and still tractoring...

Housework yesterday morning, dusting and cleaning for guests over the weekend. And now they're calling for rain on Saturday; looks like motorcycle movies on the big screen instead of bench racing around the campfire...

Got the bed liner on the spare tire holder yesterday, then noticed in better light that it was pretty thin in some areas:confused3:

Rest of day was spent moving shims around on the transaxle and front differential. I think the ex-mechanic used the wrong motor mount. More work needed. I also found that the inclinometer on the iPhone isn't very repeatable, so a real one is on its way from Amazon.

Town run for parts, groceries, and fuel, then more cleaning, mostly in the garage...

57, headed to 82, worked on my pavers, more to do. Had a meeting last night that ran overtime, someone always wants to hear themselves talk.
No hedgehog here, just multiple fat groundhogs.
Going to take mom some fried chicken today, not sure how much she can eat, but it’s about her favorite. I always take enough for her roommate to have. Her one roommate passed away last week.
Got to get moving, have a good one, prayers for all.

No bears on my cameras yet. Most of Michigan's Black bear population is in the Upper Peninsula. It's rare to see one south of Bay City. Current population is suppose to be 14k. With 90% of them in the UP.

61 degrees this morning, going for a gradually clearing 68. I sometimes feel a bit sorry for the weather forecasters. When they forecast things that don't happen, people accuse them of being incompetent, but if a storm happens that they did NOT forecast . . . well, they really get criticized. So yesterday they were forecasting hail up to baseball size, high winds, possibly some tornadoes, heavy rain, etc., mostly after 7 p.m. Schools and colleges cancelled activities, even city governing bodies cancelled meetings. However, the Texas Rangers Los Angeles Angels baseball game started at 7:05 p.m. and lasted until about 10:30 p.m. with still no bad weather. It finally rained around midnight. I got about .85" in my gauge. I understand we had a little bit of thunder and lightning, but if so, I slept through it and see no signs of any damage in this area.:D

Wow. That's a pretty big prankster there playing ring-and-run. :-D

Good Morning. It's 60°F and storms still passing thru, since about 2:30 a.m. I haven't checked the rain gauges yet but, I'm guessing at least 1 1/2" ..... so far. Looks like all will pass thru here by about 9 a.m. then sunshine and 79°F forecasted.

No big plans for today, maybe some road grading later. Roads and driveways grade much better ...... with some moisture.

Welcome back Andrew!

No bears here.

Everyone have a great "Good Friday Eve" and Easter Weekend.

Pro Hint: It's not about bunnies and colored eggs.

Prayers to all.

Good morning to all! Low of 42, foggy at 05:00, clear now. Off and on light rain yesterday only amounted to 3/10"....disappointed we didn't get more. A few thunderstorms rolled by, after they got east of us they intensified and spawned a few tornadoes in the Texas panhandle. Today supposed to be clear and sunny, high of 70.

Ran the errands yesterday, then just played inside on the net. Today maybe some time in the shop (still some more organizing). Need to take an incorrect oil filter back to O'Reilly's auto parts and then conserve some energy.

Welcome back Andrew! How is the family?

Rich B, glad they are finaly putting a plan together rather than just 'flying off the cuff'. It's sometimes amazing how inefficient business can be when all they need to do is sep back, slow down, and make an appropriate decision. But that's where 'profit and loss' comes into play right?....

We have not had any bears venture close to our house, closet one spotted was about a 1/2 mile away. Coyotes come right up to the gate...maybe 30' from the door.

Need to fill the bird feeders and get out the hummer feeders. Haven't seen any yet, but I bet they are almost here..

Hope everyone has a great day! Prayers sent.

It looks like the low was 30° this morning. Yesterday wasn't as nice as they said it would be, ended up partly cloudy with a cold west wind all day. Today is supposed to be around 60° with clear skies and a 10-15 mph wind.

Making the weekly trip to town this morning. Don't have any plans for the rest of the day.

Hope everyone has a good day.
CWB.

Good Morning Everyone!!!!!

Today’s low was 28ºF; then came the rain and the unsuccessful birdseed stealing bear. A drizzly 40ºF presently; mid 40ºF’s for today’s high and a lot of rain later with a weekend washout anticipated for this Holiday weekend. Plan for today making some horseradish for the weekend down in CT at my Sister’s. Mr. Knee was complaining this AM.

Thomas- Unless that bear brings bolt cutters or a hacksaw my bird food is safe. What I really do not want is a bear-Brogen interaction.

Andrew- Nice to see you posting again.

Randy- I hope you and Mom and roommate(s) have a great afternoon together.

I hope that everyone has a decent day today and a great Passover/Easter Holiday with family and friends.

My + thoughts, wishes, and prayers.

65°F and rain this morning, dropping through the day to 44° overnight. Woke up a couple of times by thunder in the wee small hours of the morning. Looks like the rain will last into tomorrow.

Was enjoying some of those delicious Blue Diamond wasabi and soy flavored almonds yesterday, when suddenly my left eye started burning. I apparently rubbed my eye without thinking, or even realizing I'd done it. I do not recommend this, even if you're curious as to how it feels.

Got home from work to find my new speaker stands awaiting me. Assembled them, got them adjusted to the right height, and they work great. Slightly wider than I was expecting, but they'll do just fine. Still impressed that they made the 4K + miles journey in under 2 days. The US Postal service doesn't even do that for a letter going to another town. Spent several hours in the studio enjoying the sound at ear level now.

No bears here, thankfully. No hedgehogs either.

Good to hear from you again, Andrew.

Replacing 1 cat is currently not an option, cats are welded into y-pipe, nobody here will weld them in. 800$ plus shipping for y-pipe with cats, 500$ install. The only good news is, have only had 1 check engine light in 3 month since changing to no-alcohol gas.
.

I didn't go back to see what the CEL was on, but emissions warranty might cover it (often longer than vehicle warranty).

"... I apparently rubbed my eye without thinking, or even realizing I'd done it. I do not recommend this, even if you're curious as to how it feels."- Paul. Thanks for the PSA. I do a lot of cooking with hot peppers. One does not make the mistake of eye rubbing too many times.

When I prepare horseradish root I peel the skin with the peelings going directly in the garbage, then the root goes in a waterbath until it meets the cuisinart where it is grated and then partially minced. I have to change blades  I do this with the window open and sometimes with a fan blowing to keep the acrid fumes under control. I have to hold my breath for the last step and bottling it. + some white vinegar and tightly lid = done. This is strong clean out the nostrils and sinus cavity stuff

I planted horseradish in my garden 30 years ago. A major mistake. It took me 25 years to "almost" eradicate it.
