Count me in the same boat as a horseradish hater.

Sorry, just don't like it. Cocktail shrimp can be steamed in beer and seasoned up otherwise.

thanks for recipes Don. I will give them to food pantry kitchen lady to try out.
volunteer left, 9 boxes filled between she and I, enough for me, got 3 out of 7 rows done.
Promptly got the Super A out and cultivated the just picked rows, pics later, and heading back to get tractor
again for one last row to cultivate.

My helper picked all the radishes, and was talking about horseradish too. Fresh horseradish makes the best cocktail sauce for shrimp, need to get some noise quivering action going on...
Apparently it's like asparagus, once you plant it, you've got it for a long time.

Ate a pbj for lunch and headed back out in sunshine and blue sky.

PJ, bet those speaker stands put a smile on your face, get the speakers elevated to the right spot and off the floor.
Cleaner bass.
And now starring, in the TBN band, we have PJ on the bass guitar, Toppop on the sax, Buckeye on the ?
I play a pretty good butt trumpet. Lol

We stopped at restaurant in AZ with friends. We ordered hamburgers. On side of burgers was were some pickle chips. My friend had to have more. Got a side dish of them. After eating a few he asked what they were. Horseradish Bread and Butter Pickles. He hates horseradish also.
Horseradish Bread & Butter Pickle Chips | Boar's Head. I have tried other brands. But these are the only ones I like.

I like such snacks too, but I've noticed, at least over here, that MSG gets thrown into the mix.

Recently I got a tin of organic wasabi powder. In fact, more like a small percentage of wasabi and remainder horseradish, but sharper tasting than the paste we had from Lidl.

Speaking of which, has a Lidl opened up by any of y'all? The Atlanta area has them now, though my mother hasn't had a chance to shop there yet. I'm hoping they have the soft pretzels like the ones here as we're going to stay in Atlanta a few months this winter and my kids and me will miss otherwise that treat when we go shopping.

Looked up Lidl. Thought you had misspelled Aldi. Nope.
Grocery Store | Low Prices | Lidl US
None up north.

Gale warning just posted for tomorrow night.
That storm system must be packing a punch.
guess I'd better take the flags in, gather up watering cans, etc.

Just a question, do you have to put a light on the flag IF you leave it up overnight?

Ok Ron, LS, the trip to Europe has gone from.....俳k, I will go but not thrilled to 的 am going to prove a point? Because I can.

Most of the 途est of the story came into focus today. Seems decisions were made to do things expediently but not necessarily correctly. Some one was allowed to access and change some critical hydraulic horsepower settings in the software who actually had limited to no knowledge of the effect the changes would have. I am going to make changes tomorrow on a machine and am very confident I will duplicate the problem. I am also reasonably confident I have a work around of the problem to keep the customer going until I get there to reset things correctly to make the expedient decision work.

Yes, I will do it myself, since there are a number of subtle settings and interactions in the software that need to be addressed. And I simply don稚 trust anyone else to do it. Well, maybe one sales guy, but I already know, he is the only one who has a basic understanding of the various settings I need to play with. I trained him, he grasped it.

OK, I am bragging, but I have spent a lot of time learning the software and settings. I know what the changes do to pump/engine performance.

Plus I will likely need to fly to Barcelona to get to the machine. I have not been to that part of France or Spain. I would like to see that part of the world.

Plus the Bulto family (Bultaco) museum is in Barcelona. They have the twin to my Bultaco in that museum. Would love to see the museum in general and get some up close detail of one of the other 4 of those bikes known to exist. Yea, there is a method to my madness!

All this horseradish talk brought back some old memories.... We used to frequent a 'farmer's market / flea market' called "Rice's market" back in Bucks County Pa. There was a vendor there selling all forms of horseradish from mild to wild. I would watch unsuspecting people sample a very small amount of the wild....their reactions are permanently embedded in my memory! The best ones were the 'big macho men' that wanted a bigger sample to taste.... Watched many of them have tears streaming and difficulty speaking! It almost became a favorite past time to just go to watch!

Gaudis church, Sagrada Familia would be worth seeing in Barcelona. I regret that on the day I was there it was closed, so I only got to see the outside. Recently I was surprised to learn that the whole construction of it has also been privately funded.

The town of Tarragona has lots of Roman ruins and Montserat (cable car goes up there) is also a big attraction, though the day I went up there, it was clouded in fog. There's plenty more to see, and nearby as well, but to a certain extent, once you've seen so many castles, town squares and churches in Europe there does get to be a certain repetition to it. :)

On Sunday I'll be enjoying grated beets with horseradish. One of the traditional foods served on Easter here.

Good morning all. To many, happy Good Friday.
Might have some storms today before the main event later tonight.
One more tray of okra transplants to put in, might get time to do that before it rains.
First a trip downtown with one last box of collards, then a little food shopping.

Bill, my porch is lighted at night, gives some light to flag
Ted, Rice's market is still there, still hard to find on that windy back road, owned by close friend
of my brother's, a real local institution, not sure if it's as busy as it used to be.

will be watching radar all day and then tonight, when the storm hits, hoping that things that go crash in the night are simply the gutters complaining.

69 going up to 76 today, possible thunderstorms in an hour

Good morning all. Plenty of warm sunshine around this morning. We were able to sit outside to enjoy a cup of tea yesterday and today may even be able to take a meal outside too.

Finally got around yesterday to taking down a big branch that had snapped off an oak and was straddling a boundary fence. No pics, I was too busy thinking how to stop it landing on my toes, or my head, as it was still up at 45 degrees. Took a while to cut it free of the entangled fence wire, then I was able to put a rope on and drag it down to the ground. A small ash branch was also down, I had intended cutting that up too, but this one persuaded me to leave it as a pillow.

Don, that's quite a toy, now you just need to decide on the best tractor pic to reproduce.

32 °F and only going up to 39. Wind NNE 13 gusting to 29 mph. 60% chance of showers.
That will slow down the melt.

Both my culverts need cleaning out. I will work my way down the driveway and clean as I go.

Eric, is there a reason why that lamb has a 'W' on its' side?

Happy and safe Good Friday all

Sounds like you are enjoying Spring too Eric, and that sheep is such a pretty animal. Particularly using
his head prop. Great pictures.

Which unfortunately remind me of my Australian mini lamb chops a few nights ago, couldn't resist on sale at four bucks for two medium sized, thin of course, and boy did it leave a slick of lamb fat in my mouth. Maybe that's the lanolin in it...
probably making Don's adam's apple bob up and down just thinking about it... ;)
Next time I'm cutting out 100 percent of the fat and white muscle ahead of time. Not all that much left...two biters but
just a huge amount of flavor. More flavor than some like. Like I'll never eat bear again.

Got some new seeds in today. Magic seeds. In three months the big clamshell
pod opens up and a vegan burger pops out. Grill ready.
I think Don had those seeds, he was going to send me some.
Along with that Yamaha tractor I think none of us is going to win.

Despite the fact that most of us eat the animals, I think we are also animal lovers, meaning
respect for them while alive. Seeing pictures of British and Slovakian lambs in their pasture,
well, more pictures please. Though our own dog and cat pictures are always good.
