Coffee has finished brewing. 41ー with rain this morning. Heading to 43ー with rain ending in afternoon. Did not sleep well last night. Upset stomach. Good day to conserve energy.

Rich, glad they/you have a plan for trip. Hope you get to do some tourist stuff.

Thomas, all the critters at my place have been giving me the look. Where is that food you have been feeding us all winter. Deer even came to door looking. Cranes stick their beak into ground what looks like 6" to find food.

Everyone enjoy Good Friday.

Good Morning All.

Good morning! 59˚F heading to the 80s.
Eric, I'm glad you also posted the pic if the sheep with his head up so it didn't look like the cut limb fell on her.:D

Apparently there was a lot of discussion at the wood shop club meeting wether to get the laser engraver/cutter or get the CNC Router. Some people thought the laser was not a a real tool for a wood craftsman. After the laser passed another club owner donated his CNC router to the club so now we have both. I don't have a clue what they can do or how to use them but that's why I joined - to learn. This is going to be fun cool hobby during those 100˚+ days this Summer.

Since no one has windshield film I volunteer to be the reviewer. Yesterday I had a complete film wrap on every window and sun roof. We will see if I can stay cool this Summer. They used 3 types of film on the car windows: clear on the front, a little darker on the front side windows (25% light) and darker on the rear windows (15%). All Texas legal to pass inspection. The initial take is that I made a big mistake on the front. It had some distortion, but the installer said that in a few days, after it dries it would be perfectly clear. He said they have done hundreds with no returns and he even showed me his car after the film had dried and it was perfectly clear. We will see. He did a good job. Driving home in the direct sun the black dash was cooler but it was only 70˚ outside.
In Texas you can always tell from a distance that the driver is elderly by un-tinted windows. Have you noticed that in your state also?

I thought I was in big trouble yesterday - I was washing the car outside with gray2 roaming free in the front yard and Whipper on a leash and the Community Standards guy stopped in front of my house. He is the guy that enforces the rules of the HOA. He just wanted to talk about the car, real friendly, he's live here for 17 years.

About 70 and windy, but only raining mosquitos, so far, back here in the woods by the creek.

Eric, looks like a better pillow than the one I see advertised all the time from Minnesota. Anybody have one of Mike's pillows? I've never tried one but my wife has and wasn't impressed.

Andrew, you described places on and near Barcelona that are on my hope to see list. We have Lil and Ali here. Both German companies, I think. We like both, but nothing beats a Wegmans in our experience.

Took the blades off the zero turn yesterday and sharpened, but didn't have time to mow, except a quick test run. Had to take wife to allergy shots, and then move some boxes into her parents new apartment. Had time for late lunch and a Costco visit.

Did write the blade part number down to explore Gator blades on the net later today.

The coons are awake from their long winters' nap. We had one right up on the porch the other morning. (Seen his/her tracks in the snow.)

I guess I broke the mold at age 72, my rear windows (behind the front seats) are tinted 'limo', the two front ones are 15%. Factory 5% plus 10 that I put on. Nothing on the windshield, except for the top three inches that are limo.

For whatever reason, Aldi never moved in to Slovakia. Lidl is most common, I think. Its in the small town near us, so we shop there every week. In the city where my wife's parents live there are more options. One of which, Kaufland, is owned by the same German company as Lidl. Both of these have started carrying a selection of organic foods, including produce. Curiously, the pretzels are different. Actually there are two Kaufland's in Michalovce now. They are much larger, like a normal grocery store in the US with namebrands and the housebrand. Then there is the British Tesco, which is like a Walmart, just without the hunting/fishing/guns section.

My mom wants to get her car tinted. Hope I can find someone around Atlanta who does a good job. When I was a child she got the car windows tinted, and it ended up being a really bad job that I later ended up scraping off.

NWS says we had two tornadoes from the last storm, an EF2 on the ground for 9 miles and EF1 on the ground for 6.2 miles. A lot of damage in lower Delaware.
69 now with light wind, but it’s coming.

The storms have passed by me, just a few isolated rains left. Noisy hotel, can hear all the interstate noise. Time to hit the road.

Nope, you are still in the mold.
Elderly = over 80.

Count me in the same boat as a horseradish hater.

Sorry, just don't like it. Cocktail shrimp can be steamed in beer and seasoned up otherwise.

I have always loved shrimp cocktail. But many years ago, one evening I found I had shrimp on hand but no cocktail sauce. But I did have a bottle of catsup and a bottle of horseradish sauce, so I mixed them about 50/50 and liked it so much that it became the only way I eat shrimp cocktail to this day.

Good morning all,

43 this morning and clear skies. Most of the snow has melted, just a few of the deeper piles still left. Hoping to get some dirt work done today.

My PTB has not shown up yet, most likely next week some time. Anxiously waiting for it.

Prayers for all have a nice day.

are you sure about that. Those of us that are close to that age may disagree.

Too bad. Eighty is the cut off point, enjoy your youth while you can.
O course they are in the process of moving it up but it won't be in effect till I get to 80.:D

(If you qualify you can apply for an extension by doing a marathon, a one day 150 mile bike ride or being plant based.)

Well they still have a little over 3 years to get it right.

I just saw that they have added three more exemptions:
If you have not seen a doctor for more than 24 months.
If you are taking no prescription drugs.
If you can drive a tractor unassisted.

Still impressed that they made the 4K + miles journey in under 2 days. The US Postal service doesn't even do that for a letter going to another town. Spent several hours in the studio enjoying the sound at ear level now.

The last batch of motorcycle parts shipped via DHL from Germany took two weeks to arrive, and I was charged 40 Euros for the privilege of waiting that long. On the other hand, I've received parts from Great Britain in only a few days for lower shipping rates. Makes no sense to me, but there it is...

Glad the stands worked out, and that you can still see to type. That Wasabi powder is nasty stuff!

Plus I will likely need to fly to Barcelona to get to the machine. I have not been to that part of France or Spain. I would like to see that part of the world.

Plus the Bulto family (Bultaco) museum is in Barcelona. They have the twin to my Bultaco in that museum. Would love to see the museum in general and get some up close detail of one of the other 4 of those bikes known to exist. Yea, there is a method to my madness!

I hear the motorcycle riding is pretty good in Spain. Lots of MotoGP riders end up retiring there, and a large percentage of the populace rides or used to, so it's very motorcycle friendly. Good roads, too. See where I'm heading with this? See if you can tack a few extra days on the trip and rent a bike...
