Good morning!!!!

good evening all. 66F this morning, mostly overcast, light wind. Wind increased quickly, wind speed more erratic in afternoon, clouds broke up some in afternoon, then back to overcast, and high temp of 78F. Forecast for tonight is for thunderstorms, chance of severe storms. heavy rain has started to fall as I type.
Men's Meeting this morning followed by bike ride, lunch nap and trip prep. Game plan is to bike 175 miles Fri, Sat, Sunday. Leave tomorrow.
Replacing 1 cat is currently not an option, cats are welded into y-pipe, nobody here will weld them in. 800$ plus shipping for y-pipe with cats, 500$ install. The only good news is, have only had 1 check engine light in 3 month since changing to no-alcohol gas.
David good luck with your pipe project.
Don that is some wonderful woodwork!
prayers for all.

Made it to 78 today. Rain with possible severe weather tomorrow.

Got most of the calves ear tagged today. Had one calf jump through head gate twice. Didn’t have time to cut him out again before going to get the boys from school. He’s the smallest and youngest calf on the herd. 6 weeks younger than the rest so I know where he belongs. Did manage to get the garden disked. Cut some power poles into fence post and got them stacked. Will be doing some fence repairs later this spring that will require their usage. Have some more to cleanup so I can get them cut up.

David. Good luck on gas line replacement. It’ll be worth trying to pull new line in as old is pulled out. Worse case is you end up cutting concrete right?

I installed the TBN app, and this thread keeps coming up, so figure I ought to post something!

Hope y'all have a happy easter.

Been busy here fixing equipment and doing concreting around the house. Potatoes will be planted after Easter, as just yesterday I got the two wheel tractor back in operational state. Wish one of the neighbors had a potatoe ridger with a Cat I 3pt hitch though. Need to get more equipment for the Iseki.

Last week I found a young, not shy, hedgehog in the field. IMG_20190409_173941430.jpegIMG_20190410_184259688.jpegIMG_20190416_155302094.jpeg

Just enough light cloud this morning to be outside without having to squint to see the corners of the fields.

I had confirmation of how little rain has fallen this year when I put in a strainer post yesterday. Couldn't risk this post being knocked in because there is a large field drain very close by, so I hand dug a 4' deep hole and all but the last 3 or 4 inches of ground were dry, with not a single worm in sight.

Wng, yes the Peak District is a nice place, our oldest national park. The peace and quiet you expect to find there can sometimes be a little elusive though due to the sheer number of people that visit.

Andrew, great to hear from you again. Have you been giving the goats a bath ? They all look pristine, as if ready for a livestock competition.

PJ, looking forward to seeing a pic of those super fast speaker stands.

They just live outside. It rained not long ago, and if they go out in it to graze, it does rinse the dust off their coats.

You can never have too many attachments!

A hedgehog! Don't see many of those around these here parts.

Good to hear from you again, Andrew. Hope all is well with family and farm.

Other than birds, hedgehogs are the most common wild animal I see up close. Very frustrating to our dog with their defenses, and therefore at night can be frustrating to me if he finds one and starts barking his head off so I run out side in underwear, pistol in one hand, flashlight in the other, only to find its just a hedgehog.

38 °F and going to a high of 50. Wind E 15 gusting to 32 mph. Rain is in the forecast and it had rained overnight. More for today, 2" more and then an inch of snow overnight.

A dump/town run is in the cards for today. I might polish up the other three rims for the Dodge, but don't hold your breath.

Have a good day all

Good morning. 58 now, maybe 80 later. Rain tonight into tomorrow. Other than rain, next week or so looks pretty mild.

1 cup of coffee gone, time for another.

Well, I did have a meeting about the Germany/France trip. On my terms and with only the international sales manager involved. The dealer is actually going to do what they are supposed to do, visit the worksite and get first hand information I can use to determine what is wrong and a plan to fix it, up to me going there. I like that. No knee jerk reaction, get useful information, and then come up with a plan to fix it.

And hopefully, today is not as busy as yesterday. Time to get moving. Everyone have a safe and good day.

31 F cloudy low 50's for high.

Seems bear waited until nobody was around yesterday and had good lunch,he/she pull gang box away from the wall tip it over some how open lid took 30lbs bird feed,he /she never touch 40lbs black sunflower seeds nor 100lbs deer pellets or 50lbs black sunflower seeds laying on the bench  now there chain wrap around gang box...could be interesting,by the size of the track wasn't small bear.
After work if not raining get some yard raking done.
E muffin feed little critters slow roll to work.

Enjoy the day all.

You got to look at it from the dog's point of view...a terrifying wild animal on his (the dog's) turf. It the pup's job to keep wild critters off his property!

Coffee is done brewing. 57° with mostly cloudy skies this morning. Heading to 65° with rain throughout the day. Lot of thunder storms passed by late yesterday evening. No damage but lots of noise. Forgot to check air cleaner on mower yesterday. Will get that done on it and tractor this morning. Couple of shop projects to keep me out of the rain.

Anyone out east seen these bugs yet? Spotted lanternfly. Local new says they are headed here

Andrew, welcome back.

Rich, hope you do not have to make the trip.

Good Morning All.

terrifying wild animal

now Roy, how could you call that cute little cuddly animal that?
I bet it has claws that could take your face off...

enjoying cup of coffee calm before volunteer worker storm, assuming anyone shows up.
otherwise I expect to be picking a lot of collards this morning.
Think I'll put my back belt on ahead of time, might help with all the bending over.

Bears remind you there are lots of things out there with teeth bigger than our own
and as the signs say Share The Road
Well, perhaps the smarter sign would be Yield ...

low 80's today, big storms and rain coming in tomorrow, going to be a busy day
