Kyle, did the news paper shed any light on the police action on your property?

Which agency was out there? Federal, State, County or City?

There was a car that the LEO ran the plate on that came back stolen, when the LEO tried to pull him over, he bolted. They just said he ditched the car somewhere on our road or just past it, and took off on foot. So it was a car thief. I did not get a look at him. Usually the gangs will let under 16 year olds do the stealing, so if they get caught, they won't get a long sentence.

I saw about 4 county SUV's, and one State trooper SUV. But I did not go down past our place to see how many more were there. I hope the brat got poison ivy. :)

Hoping Hawaii is battening down the hatches.

Today, my buddy and I tore apart our company's Craftsman table saw motor. When turned on, it would just turn slow rpm. We checked the run and start capacitors the best we could. I believe the motor is a 1.5 or 2 hp. We took off the end cap that has the fan under it, took off the fan blade to get to a set of centripetally actuated contact breakers. Ahhhh, they were a bit burnt looking. Nothing some emery cloth couldn't handle. Got them cleaned up and put everything back together and presto magico, it runs beautifully. The breakers, IIRC, switch the power from the start capacitor to the run capacitor. But, when burned, not much of nothing gets through.

Then, I helped another co-worker start rebuilding an Edwards vacuum pump. Similar to this:

Edwards Direct-drive rotary vane vacuum pump, dual mode, 2.3 cfm, 115/22 VAC from Cole-Parmer

I have another one (pump) to do on Monday. Plus, re-install the table saw motor.

It is still hot and dry down here. 103F some showers got close yesterday, but my dry soils scared the clouds away.

Roy, where you been?

Drew, I can't believe one of these guys up around you can't "hook" you up with someone. It might be hard to find that gal that is healthy and has plenty of her own money, but she may be out there. I vote you stay on regardless of your situation.

Glad y'all got some rain LS.

PJ, how are those peaches?

RNG, I believe you may have to do some studying on the codes the van is throwing. The codes are typically grouped depending on what is wrong. There's a wealth of info on them online, and this is where you might can help.

Yep, we’re in a “rain repel” zone too Kyle. A bit over 1/4” total in July and August.

Good evening all. 73F this morning, clear sky, calm wind. Sky stayed clear till sunset, frisky wind, and high temp of 99F. Played golf this morning, very slow round for around here (5 hours). My team placed middle of the pack, and we have fun. This is a good way to meet more of the guys that play, need to start going to fishing meetings
David glad to here your biggest problem is on your tractor :drink:
Buckeye, that post reminded me of unix short hand:eek:
RNG that pine sounded like a rude surprise, I always lean a lot when researching troubles codes in your case more challenging if you don't know the model year etc of car.
Rip, sorrow about your lose, my condolences to you and your family.
Ed looking forward to turning pics.
Prayers for all.

51 this morning and made it to 81 today. Very low humidity.

Cut hay yesterday. Maybe it’ll bale tomorrow or Saturday.

Placed birds today. Had wife’s car fixed. The actuator for the dual climate control was bad. Driver had hot air. Everyone else had cold. Then at the boys equine therapy Dad calls. Lost an old cow. He was trying to put some condition on her before selling her. Neighbor had a mini excavator for him to barrow and a gooseneck to haul it on. But Dad only has a 1/2ton so no gooseneck. So I went and moved it for him. He dug the hole. I covered it up. Really was nice and relaxing to be back on an excavator again been 10 years and I was a bit rusty for some reason.

All stay safe and well.

Good morning all, 53 going to 78 with am fog and then sunny. Got a box with carbide turning tool inserts, about 8 or 10 different kinds. Need to spend some time online finding out what each one does. Should not take long.

Drew, a little over 20 years ago I remember thinking to God there has to be someone (a woman) like me that is lonely and wants to get married. Soon after a lady from church had her car break dawn and I helped her get another. One thing led to another and we have been married for almost 20 years. We are a good match and much alike in many ways. Be patient, she will likely come along soon. Prayers sent.

David, prayers sent that you and yours stay safe.

Have a great day. Ed

A beautiful start to the day here, although by the afternoon we could be in for the first heavy rain in a long long time.

Unusual to hear the weather in Hawaii making it onto our radio news this morning. Hope your solar panels are all still in place David - at least they should be getting washed nice and clean.

I'm sure CWB will tell us more about the sheep wagon soon and who knows, maybe even a picture (hint) :)

It made me think of the traditional huts that were once used by shepherds and are now are highly sought after as holiday accommodation.

hut 1.jpg

If you have the money, lots of places now make new ones Our Huts – Roundhill Shepherd Huts They would make a good place for Thomas to watch foxes from, or for Drew to sit in the shade and read a book.

Must confess that I would one day like to build a small hut on wheels. I'm still only at the "that could come in useful" stage. 10 years ago I put an old window to one side and last year 4 cast iron wheels came my way.

Window.jpg Cast wheels.jpg

It's a project I'm going to make last a few more years yet - got to always have something to look forward to, isn't that right RNG :D

What's the longest lasting fun project you have done ?

Need to pour first cup of coffee. 52° with clear skies this morning. Heading to 79° with partly cloudy skies. Yesterday was a busy day. Got some items out of barn cleaned up and ready fore sale. 3 of the items had messages within minutes of posting on Facebook Market Place. Paid for and picked up within hours. MY only problem is the request for info in foreign languages. About the only thing I do is replay back with English only. Translation are bad to impossible to understand. More the same today. May have to cut lawn again today.

Bird, hope you are feeling better.

David & Sophie, stay safe.

Jay, hope you are OK.

Buckeye, I understood your first message. My wife's cousin sent me a message with some acronyms. SUS was one. I figured it out. But it should have been CUS. See You Soon. I bet there is class for that at Don's community.

Roy, nice gun. Is there a good revolver for 9mm?

GWB, pictures?

Payers for all those in need.

Good Morning All.

54 heading to 82...so nice out on the puppy hike this morning. She is like me...likes to get up early and go outside to look at the stars.

Ed, glad you got the lathe working right. Nice story on finding your wife.

David, hope all is safe and sound your way.

Wife had the ladies here for yoga yesterday, so took Coco to the mountains for a nice hike...the waterfalls on Doyles River were great since there has been plenty of rain there this summer. I thought it was cold up on top of the mountain yesterday (55) but it is even colder here today. But there was a 20-30mph wind on the mountain. Felt so good. Probably doesn't sound cold to you guys in Wyoming, Michigan, and New England, but it is for August here...about half the temps Don is getting. Saw a group of motorcycles parked at a scenic lookout, and the riders sitting on the stone fence...thought of the cool trips that RNG takes.

Need to roast coffee, mow, sharpen blades, and do 1,100 hour maintenance on the tractor, in between puppy sessions. So far, she has only chewed through the cords on the Kindle and the Echo dot...she must really like the taste of Amazon stuff, and my thumbs.

Thomas no joy on hanging the wind chimes yet still looking

/ Good morning!!!! #80,638
lovely cool morning, temps really dropped, 57 going up to 84 today.
outdoor helper coming, cleaning ladies coming, I need to get a move on.
David, hope the rain and wind isn't doing any damage.

I've been trying to educate my new Hispanic helper he doesn't need to keep the weedeater running at full throttle all the time. Even my neighbor remarked about it, from the noise...and my 2 cycle canned mixed disappeared at a rapid rate. Ok. went out and bought some more 2 cycle oil and this morning first thing I make up a batch of fresh mix. The old stuff in the plastic container will go on top of the burn pile and makes a great starter for what is now a big pile. Ground is wet, good time to burn.

Hope you all have a wonderful day.

What's my longest project? Well, the house isn't finished, it's been 21 yrs. Still have my punchlist hanging on the fridge, of things to finish.

54° was really nice last night. After regaining my eyesight from the dilation, was able to mow some more, up till too dark to see. Grass really wet and clogged bad under the deck.

Today is outpatient surgery. A little redo from last falls surgery. Hope it goes well, pretty nervous because they are putting me under.
