Don, how much would it cost for you to say goodby to the beadboard? I will be building a "20's" style cottage and true beadboard would be nice to use. Do you have an approx. sq.ft. amount you have? Not sure where you are at in "central Texas", but would be a nice road trip for us.

It's been in a barn and very dusty but I'll see if I can get a pic and approx footage. It's not in perfect condition but will suffice if you are going for a rustic look.

David, hope your wife is feeling better...and congrats on the weight loss.

Don, that's a scary pic of your tractor...must be a deep pond.

Buppies, nice guns...your local fire under control?

Got a gobbler this morning...about 7:30am, thank goodness, because it got up to 85 later, too hot to hunt. When I came out of the woods, carrying my gobbler, I saw another that had apparently flown down from the roost into the solar farm, behind a 6 foot fence with barbed wire...either he was lost, or maybe he was being smart to hide from hunters and coyotes behind the fence. Don, this is for you...can you find the turkey?

Actually we do have medical MJ, but I don稚 know much about it. Actually my wife brought it up a couple days ago as her sister was telling her about a friend who acquires some sort of MJ topical in CO and brings it back to AZ. I googled briefly, but didn稚 learn much of value. Likely my own ignorance.

You might try hitting up your Dr. for a 'script' for it.

Eric, I was wide awake at 3 A.M. and laid there for another 30 minutes and finally said 'screw it' and got up.

wngsprd, your turkey was easy to find.

Freezing rain warning in effect for here, tonight and tomorrow.

Day started off about 72 this morning and is currently 62. Rain most of the day.

Spent the day at the local Autism Walk. It’s the main fundraiser for the local Autism charity. It ended up being moved inside one of the elementary schools because of weather. The charity is 3 years old and growing good. They raised right at 9k this year. Not quite double last year. All money stays local. They are working to bring therapy and educational services to the county. Currently most therapy and educational programs are a minimal 45 minute drive. Some are 2 hours away. Makes it hard for most families to seek them out. We won top family fundraiser again this year. This was the first year they brought in corporate teams. I think there was close to 15 teams this year. The ultimate goal of the organization is to bring in a facility like The Wendell Foster Center into the county.

This year our team theme was Mickey Mouse. Had his head outline and then filled with the Autism colors and puzzle pieces. Saying was “‘till all the pieces fit”. Wife designs new t-shirts every year for it.

Sadom. Good to hear they were able to help your wife. My wife buys essential oils from Doterra. The Deep Blue really works for pain relief. Not sure what’s in them. But they do have CBD oils.

Buppies. Good news on fire.

That's great that y'all do that. We have a few services at school. I pray they find a cure and the cause.

So do I Kyle. I have my opinion about the cause. It’s one I don’t think will ever be admitted too, but I know when the change happened in our son. He had regression in speech.

Autism is too wide spread to be genetic in my opinion. Plus we are having too many first generation diagnoses.

I’ll stop there so it doesn’t turn political.

We are like you a few services through the school but they end with school. The Wendell Foster Center and Kelly Autism group are like a YMCA for Autistic people. It’s not just serving the kids but also the families. But services don’t start there till age 5. So we haven’t been able to get in. He turns 5 end of the month.

43 degrees with a stout northerly breeze going for a high of 60 today. And I've been trying to get Quicken Deluxe 2018 installed and working. I've used Quicken for more than 30 years, and I do believe that each new version is worse than the preceding one. Of course I'm sure they'd say that's just because I don't understand.

Careful with the 2018 version Bird, it will scramble your data if you try to sync with your mobile device. I gave up on that feature after I could not get nothing but computer generated spam from Quicken. I also cannot get a clear answer on why I have to constantly sign into my Quicken Account before I can enter data. All attempt to turn that off have not to date been successful. Still working on that and also looking for a Quicken replacement that will import Quicken data and use the Quicken data I have dating back to 1992.

Good evening all. 43F at the start this morning, windy, mostly overcast. Winds picked up to 22-35, overcast started to break up about 10, and high temp was 57F. Had some excitement on today's ride, one of the fender's mounting screw came loose and had to stop and tighten it, and cow was loose on road. Pick up was trying to herd it, but cow got by him. He chased us for a short stretch but quit after .1 mile or so. on way back he was still out, but jumped he fence when confronted by us and oncoming traffic from other direction. Step daughter came other after nap so did not get anything done.

Buppies good news on fire.

Farmer and Kyle I do pray for autism in family

Payers for all.

Good morning all. It was a real pleasure to be out yesterday without needing to wear a jacket. The dry-all-day reprieve gave me chance to measure up the opening on the underground water tank and cut up some old angle iron to make a frame for a cover. I was hoping to weld the frame up today, however the surface rust is going to take a while to yield to the citric acid I have it soaking in and with heavy showers predicted for the afternoon it will have to wait for another day.

Mostly, I've often been chased by dogs, never an angry cow. That must have that got your pedals spinning fast !

Do you know the connection between cowcatchers and programmable computers ? Both were invented by Charles Babbage.

65 going to 77 and severe thunderstorms predicted tonight. Pollen is getting heavy, so a NICE rain to wash things off would be appreciated.

mostly, I've only been chase by cows once...cutting across their pasture as a short cut...had to belly crawl under barbed wire to get away.

farmer, great job on the fundraiser and for such a good cause.

Eric, I just read a long write up about Babbage, quite an interesting bloke.

Plan to clean out the garden and till it today before it gets muddy again from tonight's rain.

17 with a forecast high of 23 Wind NE 16 gusting 26 mph. Visibility 10 miles. So far so good. NO freezing rain, yet. They are talking snow with ice pellets, now.

Snow, I can handle.

When it gets warmer I will take pictures of the new hoe.

Happy Sunday all

I have tomorrow off for a holiday, wife might have to work from home. Oh well, loaded up the pellet stove and got it running. Spring in New England!

Before my 1st cup of coffee even, we got a notice that the university is closing due to a freezing rain warning here in Toronto. It is the final exam period now, which means that all exams that were scheduled today have been canceled, including my daughter's final exam in one of her courses. BUMMER! She says all of the stuff that she studied for is now going to leak out of her brain, and she'll have to study it all over again.

Major ice storm here in southern Ontario. We are up at the cottage, where it snowed all day, but then it's going to rain like crazy today and into Monday. Will make it difficult to get back home Sunday night (2.5 hr. drive in normal weather). Will probably have to wait and go home Monday morning, but now that is looking bad as well. Accidents everywhere, power outages all over the place, a historic major ice storm, they say. What a mess!

Good morning all, 63 now going to 72 and a 80% chance of rain. NWS says up to 2 1/2" by Monday. No plans today, just take it as it comes.

Farmer and Kyle, Things will get better soon, I believe that. Prayers sent.

Have a great day, Prayers sent. Ed

Rain, storms and around 70 due to a back Door cold front.
Had a great dinner last night, all our kids and grandkids hit it off, they all went for ice cream afterward. Ellen and I just let out a big sigh of relief.
Settled the final resting place for Lynn and I. Pretty spot on the lakeside.

Moms 95th birthday today so we’re headed there with cupcakes later.

Church dinner at 5. Another busy weekend.

Prayers for all.

2018-04-15, 0705

26 right now (feels colder and clammy though) with some precipitation coming down. Looks like sleet/freezing rain...yuck! Doesn't look like it's going above about 29-30 degrees and this stuff is going to last all day into Monday morning.
So, no outdoor activities today!

I finally finished up putting a wind shield on my Gator yesterday. It's a pretty decent quality wind shield...hard coat acrylic. Downside....prevents use of the front under hood storage and might prevent installing a front rack, should I ever decide to do so. I've got an aftermarket wind shield wiper kit to install too.
My thought is I might use the Gator for snow plowing next winter.

Plans today...watch the old series "Babylon 5" (I'm on season 2) and drink beer...good plan, eh?
