While visiting Kubota dealer this morning owner came over and we chatted a bit and said I got deal for you  I'll give you $10.500 for your L2800HST w/out looking at it if you buy BX HST w/FEL & backhoe or B2601 w/FEL both models w/rear tires fill and tire chains....hmmm,been thinking of down sizing lately and house treasurer didn't say yes nor no.
I do like what B2601 has to offer tho. ;)

I say go for it! Of course spending your money is easy for me!:D

Got home from the basketball game and put a new mini sealed beam in the work light in the IH, installed the switch and viola’, I now have a work light and tail lights that I’ll probably never use. Sometime I’ll get around to the turn signals. I like for things to work correctly even if I don’t use them.

Nice looking Ford N I inherited an N from my uncle's stock, it weather buried in one of his sheds all I know about it is that it ran when he bought and parked it and he never used it. I'm waiting for spring and I can pull it out of that shed and get it in my driveway or garage to work on. It is either a 9N or 2N breaks are separated one on each side.

I look at this half bin of 50 pounds of cut up Red Pontiac seed potatoes and say no way that does "acres". I doubt it will do half an acre.
But seeing is believing. I want to see how far 50 pounds goes, the rows are ready, and the locals say plant. Plus a week of 70's coming up.
That I will do tomorrow.

the upper tray is a small bag of my German Whites from last year I never ate, but thankfully kept, and several months ago set out.
Now they have nice big eyes, unlike the reds I cut up which were much harder to see. Three small bad potatoes in the whole bag. They got thrown out entirely.
Lot of small potatoes, but those got cut in half and will do fine.

I was wondering, as long as the eye has enough nourishment to start the green stuff heading upwards, and roots growing, do you really need a big chunk of potato down there to
let it feed on? I've been cutting full size potatoes in thirds and quarters. A few times arbitrarily since I could not find visible eyes. They were hiding under a pretty good layer of dirt.

Now to chill and watch a movie or two.

So, I get to the dump...and it's closed for President's Day...which is Monday. The township dump isn't open every day anyway, and closing it on a weekend isn't acceptable. I'll be making a complaint come Monday....well, Tuesday.
Who ever heard of a dump closed on Presidents day? Just dump it over the nearest hill, officer obie died a few yrs ago..

Kyle, thank you. There are already new seedlings coming up, I just don't know what they are...one of two varieties.
Now I have all the peppers to do, and they are the ones the instructions say use heat underneath. The tomatoes are jumping up with
heat pads underneath. But I don't want them to jump too quickly...not ready until early April. I expect to have to repot all the tomatoes one more time before planting. Bought hundreds of 4 inch pots for that. So far I've been getting things planted fast enough that limited sun room space has opened up for new stuff, like tomatoes and peppers. They will hog up the "facility" for awhile. They will be going out just when I need to plant the okra indoors. I have this all on a calendar to keep myself straight.

I finished planting the last of the pak choy, that stuff is indestructible, maybe cabbage in general is. Filled up almost another row. Then it started to drizzle and I was chased in by rain.
Not very warm out, and warm is coming, so decided to work on the potatoes instead.

I was planning on using the Super A's hiller to close the potato furrows, but just barely. Once they pop out I'll keep adding more dirt.

Almost forgot, Roy, Whatever you do, don't put your garbage over the cliff on top of the other pile of garbage.

Got up to 44 or so, now 32° and snowing,

Got new spark plugs installed. Back was just as easy as front. Biggest problem was finding tools. No 3/8 ratchet in garage set, look in house, cant find it. Go get the one from barn set. No extension, back to barn, 2 of them there. Go to basement for work light. Go back to barn for air nozzle to blow out dirt, so none goes in plug hole.

Took honda to town for gas, and try it out. No problems. Reset check engine light, it stayed off.
Gas at costco, what a zoo. No parking, people waiting for spots, i lucked out, got one within sight of the front door. Bought 4k uhd samsung tv. Already got it set up, really really nice. Hd projection tv now in garage.
Grabbed lunch, than visited an elderly friend, just turned 90, was in hospital last week for pneumonia, found out he has lung cancer. He started a chemo drug, is on oxygen, but is in good spirits. A great guy. He lived in vandalia IL until a few yrs ago. After his wife died he moved here where his daughter lives.

Then went to tsc. Got a bolt, few spares, for the missing backhoe pin bolt. Also got carded for buying garage door lubricant.
She asked for my bday, i said a long time ago... Then asked why she wanted it. She picked up the lubricant and said because this is an aerosol. I started laughing, i couldnt believe it. She rung me up, i never did give my bday.

Snowing hard now, ground covered.

Was 45 and bright sun at noon, completely overcast at 12:30 and raining by 2:30. Then some ice/snow pellets mixed in briefly. All rain now and 36. About a quarter inch already fell, .15 in the last hour, water standing pretty good.
A lot colder in the garage this afternoon than morning. Went to light the heater but the tank was near empty so I didn稚 bother. Never bought any this year, my mindset didn稚 have me out there much, especially in cold weather. Been doing more lately.
