Finally back home 45 minutes to remove 1.5 hours for test results three hours to reconstruct one sore puppy here. Went with wife and son to do some shopping ate dinner then slept on the way home

Asked the doc about Vulcan ears he said next time I came to visit he would have times set up for this procedure. The final sewing was done by a resident slow but sure only one oops was said when stitch broke. The little flap beside my ear had to be reconstructed taking skin from the face beside the ear. All the existing skin was removed going down to cartridge. No bending lifting or strenuous activity for seven days. Showers out for a while which will make me ripe after a day or two. Hopefully this is it for me

Fit bits or I phones are really good for keeping up with activity 10000 steps a day good for us all

Drew wish I was on that island walking in the warm island breezes on an uninhabited beach enjoying the star lite night

All that talk of stuffed flounder sounds really good

RNG maybe your van will be done before my bathroom

Buckeyefarmer that's a lot of miles

Hope you get to feeling better soon Bupps. You get those Vulcan ears and you want have to yell "What or Huh" to your wifey. I usually yell that just because I'm not listening. :)

Glad you're over with that part, Buppies. A week is a long time, but take it easy and do what the doctor sez. Iff'n ya don't, he'll likely extend the sentence, and none of yer TBN buds want that!

We just managed to escape the frost last night. Had intended to go look at a few different greenhouses today, however my wife now tells me there is snow in the forecast for that area, so looks like it will put back for a day or two. Aluminium or cedar, rectangular or octagonal - almost too much choice.

Bups, good to ear you survived both surgery and shopping.

Buckeye, that is an impressive mileage, even for a Honda.

42 out this AM. Nice day for yard work. Coyotes are howling in the front. Hear at least 3 of them. Not much to do today. Finally made the first ice cream run yesterday. Place was closed. OMG. LOL. Have a great day all. Be safe.

28F now upper 40" for high.
Maple sap should run good today as snow level drops. :)

Enjoy the day all.

showers this morning heading out and a nice warm day afterwards. I did too much yesterday so trying to have a little "balance" I'm chilling today. Unfortunately my helpers told me at midnight they were coming at 9am so I had to leave a long list for them to do. Things like taking off the phd which I can't do by myself any more. When the whole thing fell over last time, I said nope, not going to do that by myself any more, stand or no stand. It's a big phd, very heavy with a two foot auger. Thankfully it fell in the other direction but the lesson was well learned. Living and working by myself I have to be extra careful and always carry a phone. Which I do not want to try dialing with an auger on top of me. We all know what happens when machinery falls on us, don't always live to talk about it later.

The place where I bought my rv carport also sells outdoor furniture, mostly the plastic variety, but nice stuff, heavy duty, for leaving outside. I'm looking for a swing and several chairs.
The guy who owns the place is almost totally blind, has to hold paperwork up to about two inches from his eye, really sad to see him struggle but he is a happy guy and makes the most of things. Everything on his property, and there's a lot of merchandise, is lined up exactly straight, all in order. He knows how many steps to get to every row from the front door. Remarkable. Because he mentioned he wanted to work on an old Cub Cadet with his grandson, and I just happen to have a Cub Cadet coffee table book, with all the photos, which I used for my 1968 CC renovation, I thought I'd loan him the book for a little while and he can research what model he wants to restore. My name is stamped inside for sure. So here I am giving a guy who can barely see at all a big picture book... I think he will have a great deal of fun with it too, sitting down with his grandson and at least looking at the pictures together.
That's the kind of thing I miss not having kids....

speaking of which, my next door fireman neighbor is groggy eyed and exhausted after a week of having a first newborn son come home. Both parents are amazed at how
much work a baby is. Ya think? He said it was nice to talk to me, an adult, after taking a spousal week off to be home with his wife. Pretty sure he is glad to go back to work tonight and he hopes his shift is quiet so he can catch some sleep.

I bet you feel like someone paved over that ear...
glad you got some sleep. Just chill for a few days, can you stay home? If I were your wife, I'd be tying you to the couch...

Will be on job this morning but easy days for me no real work only driving paver on walkin trail and with 30 minutes between trucks lots of naps F250 is good for that plenty of room and comfortable seat.

No bending over no lifting can do that

Bet I sleep better tonight.

Wearing wide brim hat you can bet I will not forget that do not want to go thru this again

Good Morning to all and have a great day enjoying whatever you might get into

47 going to 67.

Had to go rescue wife from flat tire yesterday...screw through the treads. Altered my plans , but worked out well.

Finished replacing one of the bathroom faucets last night after a few surprises. Working well, but a cheapie model from HD. Have one more to do.

Off to the dump and gym this morning since it is ladies yoga day at my house.

Can't believe you're out driving a paver already, Buppies...be careful.

Good morning! Little sore today after that 9,000 steps to clear 500 yards of trail. All hand work no tractor this time. Only one cedar limb fell on me causing a bloody lip and various dots of blood on arms and legs from briars. No snakes were sighted yesterday even though temps were in the mid eighties.

I got going on the trail project again after Sears replaced two of my lifetime loppers. The new ones cut the limbs like butter - nice.

63˚ cloudy.

This is day four on cattle guard two, may have to refigure that math formula - again. Seems I get bored easy with that job . . . .

   / Good morning!!!! #56,256
Another day and I'll have 2 completed and then just have 2 more to do. I am however getting slower the first took one day the second two days . . . at this rate the 3rd and fourth one will be complete in 7 days. Hows that for new math RNG and Eric.

.

Don, you need to figure out a way to pick up your cattle guards as cleaning would seem to be an easy backhoe job.

I can lift my cattle guards out with our 96 hp tractor but, don't have a backhoe. Have to dig by hand. I think a back hoe, with a wide blade like Brandi has, would make quick work of this?

I've got two that are past due now.

Coffee is done brewing. 70° with clear skies this morning. Heading to 89° mostly sunny skies. Got a small paint project to do with 2 hanging racks.
Buppies, take it easy for a few days.
Good Morning All.

There is still a lot of hand work and then the CG has to be set level again. Either way it takes the same amount of time. Except on my parents CG. With the under pipes it will not budge so hand cleaning is the only way. The last two CG I set have been on piers and set high and they never need cleaning but the first 5 need cleaning once every 7 years.

46°F and partly cloudy this morning, going up to 63° today, with a chance of rain later. We got up to 86°F here yesterday. Crazy warm.

Wife got energetic yesterday and decided to install the new pull-down shades all through the house. An ADT tech came out and fixed some issues with our alarm system, and the people who installed the windows several years ago are coming out this morning to replace a bedroom window her Grandmother had cracked.

Glad you're fixed and on the mend already, Buppies. Take it easy.

Good Morning! 54F @ 7:00AM. Thunderstorms likely. Storms may produce some hail. High 56F. Winds SSE at 10 to 20 mph. Chance of rain 80%.

Awoke this morning to rain on the squeaking patio door and squeaking patio cover. Winds gusting to 20 mph causing all the racket.

Got the grading done on the driveway yesterday and so far we've had about 3/4" of rain to settle the dust. I'll run the truck up and down a few times on my way to town this morning to get a little bit of compaction going.

The endoscope from China showed up yesterday but I couldn't make the WiFi connect to the iPhone. Messaged seller through Amazon and received this reply:
We advice you to change another cell phone(not iphone) to check it if it can work or not, as before it being sent out, we test that it can work.

Admittedly their English is a lot better than my Chinese, but if it doesn't work with an iPhone, why did the description on the thing say it did? I'll try it with the iPad this morning, and if it doesn't work with that, it's going back for a refund. Too bad, as the unit looks nicely made and the LEDs at the camera end look like they'll provide plenty of light.
