Good Morning! owww a bit sore from a long run (6 miles) yesterday and water volleyball. Just 2 more days till the end of the month and too many miles to run to get my hundred in, I'm now going for ninety. I'ts hard to catch up when you miss a few days due to hard physical volunteer work, and this is August in Texas.

Today will be another typical day except for the 8 mph northerly wind of the hurricane. Clear skies, 74 now getting to 100.

For the compass rose I will be dividing the points in half with different color pavers for a shadow effect. I'm going though the remaining pavers one by one getting out the very red and very black/gray ones.

I did a good bit of paver work last winter and spring, I admire what all you've done, but my patience and money would run out long before I could do that! :drink:

We might move. Actually looking at houses today and I have an interview in Burlington on Friday.
I've wanted to move for a few years (the York PA area is getting too built up). This is why I've preferred contract work the last several years...more flexibility.
That's also why I put in for that federal job in WV. However, my wife is (now) vehemently against WV and the fed job is just taking way too long to get onboard. I expected 6 months at most.

Since I do have a good contract job in the York area, I expect we'll hold off on any move until Spring 2013. However, since we're in VT, and since that machine shop is looking for a QA manager...may as well take advantage of the trip.

Why Vermont? Wife has kin here and I think it's a beautiful, rural state. Plus, I love winter (my favorite season...after Fall). One can get a pretty decent spread (5-10 acres) for around $200K easily.

Sun/cloud mix today with a high of around 70. Will get the rest of the log slabs cut today. I have stacked the larger ones for splitting and hope to get to some of them this afternoon.

Good afternoon all. 94F with 95F predicted for high today. I forgot to mention my episode with the wasps trying to take over my tractor. I had to beat a hasty retreat until I secured some wasp spray. Stuff works real well and gave them an attitude adjustment in only a couple of minutes

~70 here this morning.

It is my LAST DAY of involuntary unemployment. I will be thrilled to be employed again.

Something hinkey is going on, yesterday my pharmacy would not fill a script because the insurance was no good, it should have been good thru the end of the month, so that stinks. I saw my hand DR yesterday and most likely I will need a second surgery for my left hand carpal tunnel release, something is still tight and inflamed and putting pressure on the nerves causeing pain and numbness in my fingertips. That stinks. I am planning to wait until next year, in the winter to do it (I think).

Today I'm still "landlording" Almost done at the lake house, and heading back to the city house to finish it.

A very pleasant 56 degrees here in White River Junction, Vermont. Heading to Burlington for a job interview.
Looked at four houses yesterday. One was very nice...the others so-so.

Cool start to the day at 43F, should get to around 70 with a sun/cloud mix. Got all my log slabs cut, the larger ones need to be split and then stacked under cover.

Late to the forum today, had to have my HVAC guy install a return in the family room as he should have done to begin with when we built the house last fall. Upper 80s going to 90's today, I'm leaving in the morning for the Beaches of NC so it can be hot here if it wants to!
