David {MFW} the trunks of those dogwoods make good ax, hoe and shovel handles.

and the rest makes wonderful firewood and kindling; great hardwood.
but always sad to see a dogwood go, but they don't seem to be very long lived and at least once we had to replant all of them on the farm I grew up on when they all died of some blight. But oh the firewood.

Stopped raining here for a bit but looks to start up again. All this water is headed North up the coast.
they just put a flood watch up here for another one to three inches after 3.34 inches yesterday

It sounds like our weather we had 4.50 thursday and now there talking 1-3 more and freeze warning in the next few days.

On the first cup ... have to get moving here in a few and run down to Harbor Freight for an 8" C clamp to do the last weld on the conduit driver cup bit ...

Wife picked up the ground bar @ Home Depot earlier today.

Got the MMM taken off and the loader put back on this morning.

64 outside right now high of 72 later today. Raining hard at 4:00 when I first woke up but now just dank.

Drinking first cup of coffee. 56° with mostly clear skies. Heading to 77° with a mix of sun and clouds. Back to cutting lawn again. It should slow down growing later this week. Temperatures will be in the sixties.

It's hard to believe summer is over Fall appears to have fallen early for sure. With the abundant rain we have had the leaves should be beautiful

Feel some better today but still no taste and lots of coughing. Wife is now entering the rough stage of this sickness. Hopefully nobody on here gets this it's the sickest I've been in a long time

66 this AM when I left for the retired day job. Saw the moon last night, big bright, took a deep breath and enjoyed the light on the pastures. No moon this AM, cloudy. Looked at the drainage gully as I left, thanks to my neighbor "landscaping" his yard over the last few years, I got a ton of water coming through my hay field, and the tractors are making huge ruts out there. If it dries up some more, I have got to figure out a way to move the water along. I just shake my head at the way some people think. Anyway, I will have to get the boots on and the weed whacker ready.
