 We are not worried, Bluebell Only comes in a tub!

You mean the half gallons that no longer contain 1/2 gallon? Like everyone else...
Last time I looked they were selling for almost double the price of other name brand ice cream on sale.
I figure by now that ought to be pretty safe ice cream. I'm kind of partial to Breyers; seems to have less additives.
Ultimately it's all carbs and sugars and fats. Perhaps an apple instead...
If I want to seriously treat myself, it's a piece of home made pie with ice cream on top.
I think if you look right now you'll find a piece in your fridge waiting for you.

We knew old Blackbeard as Edward Teach, locally, growing up in that area.

The H is silent, so it's pronounced almost the same way. Thatch was most commonly used at the time, but there were several other spellings as well. It was after he died that he got to be the blood thirsty killer we all know and love today. He went out of his way to scare his victims into submission so there was no fighting.

Drew, we eat the Blue Bunny Sweet Freedom {no sugar added} ice cream. Very good taste with less calories and what not. You should give it a taste.

Good morning and what a great morning this feels, to be greeted by pleastantly warm air as soon as I opened the door to take the dog out.

Max followed me out then sat down again, peering into the distance, where a commercial hot air balloon was steadily rising to take it's apprehensive passengers on the ride of their lives. Those things really get him going, especially when he sees the burners flare up and shortly afterwards the roar of violently heated gas hits his hears. Not today though. After a few seconds of staring he must have decided they were sufficiently far away to not need reprimanding for invading his air space. Instead he gave out a long, wide open yawn, stood up again, cocked his leg against the nearest vertical object (my still leaky waders, now smothered in silicone), then walked over to me, yawned again and looked up as if to say, "lets take our time today and not rush things". Sure thing Max. Even though our fridge is pieless, life is indeed good.

Happy hammering Hawkeye.

Good morning all. 67 this am going to 94 with 20% chance of storms. Heat advisory on both sides of us so I have to assume it won't be chilly anytime soon. Hope to take it easy today, we will see what happens.

Have a great day Ed

Need to get away from computer and pour a cup of coffee. 67° with clear skies this morning. Heading to 93° with lots of bright sun. Not much done yesterday. Going to make the Port Huron trip today. So far no freeways closed.
Eric, hot air balloons bother our dog also. But reaction is different. Find a place to hide. Usually back in the house. Good thing we do not get thunder and balloons at the same time. Which direction to go?
Good Morning All.

70 going to 96...no rain and no real wind.

Received an order from Amazon yesterday...but two boxes...I knew my order was small and should fit into only one. The other box had Justin's peanut butter, almond butter, a phone charger, and fake eyebrows. I contacted Amazon, and they said just keep it...what a treasure! :) First time I've seen them make a mistake. Even though we have an Amazon fulfillment center in Richmond, this order came from Las Vegas. How much am I bid for the eyebrows? Would have been nice if the box had some coffee and some pie.

65 right now...heading up to about 80 today.
Initial plans were to mow this morning (early), but a pretty steady downpour put the nix to that...have to wait until the grass dries and, if no rain this afternoon, I'll start mowing.
Also an overdue haircut which is still on the agenda.
Also, got my replacement bank card...have to activate that and make sure it works (my bank's debit cards aren't particularly reliable)
After that...well, I picked up my Ruger 10/22 takedown Rugerョ 10/22ョ 10/22 Takedownョ Autoloading Rifle Model 11112 yesterday so I think I'll put a few dozen rounds through it.

get some targets or cans out and have a ball Roy; nice looking rifle, holds more than one round so is it an assault rifle? ;)
just kidding....
Looks like a varmint gun. What is the benefit of the takedown/take apart feature?

very hot here too today, not very motivated at the moment.
Need to run an errand downtown; return a small hand propane torch to Ace Hardware that malfunctioned on me, very dangerous, defective valve, all the propane leaked out the valve and no way to tighten it fully. Had to put the tank in the woods to let it run out. Talk about product liability...
Also will pick up more fire ant poison; these rains have brought them out in force. They bite and bite and bite.
Y'all have a lovely weekend and stay cool.

75 this morning and headed to 91 today. About an inch of rain last night. Lots of lightning. Town got over 2 inches. Wife was showing me pictures of the flooding from Facebook. Several city streets closed and evidently about knee deep getting to the fire station. Some of that area floods easy but it was a larger area than normal. All head water and should be gone by this morning.

Electrician didn't show yesterday but says he'll be here this morning. Even give me a time. Now that's unusual for him. First coat of mud is noon the drywall that is hung. And I finished plumbing the shower valve. Still need to install the trim pieces.

Roy nice rifle.

Actually, I did pick up a couple 25 round magazines when I bought the rifle (standard mag is 10 rounds)...BUT(!!!!) it doesn't have that lethal pistol grip that makes the AR-15 so dangerous

We don't have many varmints here...couple squirrels and a ground hog or two...deer and, rarely, a moose. I'm a pretty much "live and let live" kind of guy unless those critters do damage.
As far as the take-down feature, the rifle, when broken down, fits in a nice soft case that can easily be carried or stashed in a vehicle (Gator). It's a 2-3 second operation to take-down or attach the barrel to the action.
The soft case doesn't have any markings (other then the Ruger logo), so it can be carried anywhere without disturbing the sheeple.

Here's a video from one of my favorite YouTube channels:

Good Morning! 74F @ 4:30AM. Plentiful sunshine. High around 100F. Winds WNW at 5 to 10 mph.

Kyle, I may take you up on one of those 3/4" impact guns. What are they rated at? The 46mm axle nuts on the back of the VW van are supposedly torqued to 369 lb. ft., but my efforts with a Snap-On 1/2 impact, which advertises 1200 lb. ft. of "breakaway torque" were not successful. I tried to order a 1/2" air hose from my paint supplier, but it must have shrunk during the trip because only a 3/8" made it here. The stubborn nuts have been soaking in Kroil for the past week, and I have a brand new HF 3/4" breaker bar and an 8' piece of pipe, so maybe it's time to give them another try this morning.

Bluebells, Blackbeards, hot air balloons scaring dogs, and fake eyebrows (never knew there was such a thing!), we sure cover a lot of ground in the Good Morning! thread.

Used up another half gallon of white paint and the same amount of clear yesterday, leaving only the rear section of floor to finish the interior on the van. I may even skip painting the that, as it will get covered with sound deadening material and will likely never be seen again. Just need to decide which brand to use. Everyone's heard of Dynamat, but it's notoriously expensive, and several lower cost alternatives of butyl based products get good reviews. Plenty of time for more research, as todays high temps will probably drive me inside shortly after noon. That's forecasted to be the case for at least the next week, so it looks like I'll be catching up on paperwork and inside jobs.

Have a great weekend guys!

I like the French fries. They taste better without all the salt. Doesn't matter where I go I order my fries No Salt.

Yeah, I've pretty much given up salt. Although I understand there are health benefits...in my case, just lost the taste for it

nice rifle Roy, lightweight, sort of a concealed carry rifle.
Hickok has a great job getting paid to shoot targets all day and testing
all those interesting new guns.
He said your gun can "throw the lead".

Good morning! 74˚ heading into the hundreds again. I need to get outside in the next 15 minutes so I can at least get a few hours of outside work in before it turns into an oven. If I would have known that the "global warming" would give use 2 months of near and over 100˚ days I would have made sure to get a AC cab on the tractor so I could mow in the Summer. When is the "Global Cooling" cycle suppose to start?
It's so hot and dusty I'm thinking of hiring my neighbor with a cab to mow.

I'm beginning to think the highest my Walmart $1.97 outdoor thermometer will go is 118˚ because of the airspace needed above the mercury (about 1" at that temp). I need to look for a proper soil thermometer to see exactly hot hot my garden's soil is cooking.

No hot air balloons around here, the balloon air would have to be extremely hot to be warmer than the ambient temp to sustain lift. At that temp the balloon would probably catch fire.

I don't think he gets paid, but he does get free ammo. The firearms are lent to him (he even states in the video that he bought the 10/22) to test and comment on.
He's actually a retired school teacher (taught English, IIRC) who just likes guns. He's been posting on YouTube for 5 or 6 years

75.9F, 86% humidity, and hazy @ 09:00 ... high today predicted to hit 93F ... under heat advisory, HI 100F to 104F. Chance of rain 7% or less.

Got rest of demolition debris picked up from the daycare yesterday, still need to unload it all. That probably won't happen until this evening, just before dark ... if it happens at all.

Possibly a good day to work inside, mebbe down in the basement where it's really cool.
