well I didn't water, except for the hanging plants, betting on the predicted thunderstorm, and it's pounding down right now.
Going to be a stormy evening for awhile.
All packed, checked car tire pressures, really odd, I still can't find the tire pressure recommendation anywhere. Not in the manual, not on any door jambs and not in the glovebox. Nothing I saw in engine compt. or trunk. Very strange; maybe it was a sticker that came off? So I put in 35 pounds to be safe.
morning will bring nice weather for a drive; will be up early and off, hope to make it to Princeton NJ by 3pm. Looking at Google Maps is depressing, so many accident warnings and construction sites on route 95. Hopefully better on Saturday.

Had a quiet day and behaved myself.

Good evening all. 78F this morning, windy, sunny temp made it to 84F. rode bicycle this morning spent some time with wifey since it is my b-day today, 3 hours consulting, and white chocolate cheesecake for desert . Meeting up with local bicyclist tomorrow @ 6:30 for about 35 mile ride.

Woke up this morning to the sound of the reel-to-reel recorder reaching the end of the tape, the last few inches spinning out free from the spool and beating away until I could get to the playback switch. As I reached for that non existent switch, I came out of my dream, sadly realising that my Akai 4000D tape deck is long gone.

The end of tape sound didn't go away though - a young wagtail was flying tight circles over our bed, each circuit ending with it's wings colliding against the roof window. I opened the window a couple more inches and it soon flow out. If you ever wondered how much poop a little wagtail can produce, we know the answer.


Mostly, birthday cheesecake sounds a great fuel for an active cyclist. That should get you through a good number of miles today, so go easy on your buddy.

Don, great to hear Whipper is on the mend.

Happy Birthday Mostly. Sounds like you have a fun day planned.
Well I got up early too, but needed to, headed out at daylight for trip North.
Packed some sandwiches in a cooler so I don't have to eat road food. I won't take the time for a sit down lunch so anything I bring
is sure going to be better than fast food. Sandwich, banana and yogurt should be better for me than a double quarter pounder.
Overnight rain has cleared out, another day in the mid 90's here.
Good news about whipper, good girl.

60 degrees and a nice steady rain right now...love this rain (need it badly), but it pretty much precludes any outside work today. Left my chipper on the back of the tractor...no chipping (obviously), but I do want to cover the chutes.
Not too warm today...64 is about it, per the forecast.

I have a dump run this morning...after that...probably just putter around.

Drinking first cup of coffee. 61° with clear skies this morning. Heading to 77° with mix of sun and clouds. Got enough rain yesterday almost wet the drive. Lawn is showing some signs of green. Another day of walking and resting.

Daugen, Be careful on your trip, I 95 is a Bad way to travel IMO. Hope you enjoy your trip. With a heat warning there, heading north today sounds like a good idea.

Mostly_gas, hope you had a great birthday...you take a 35 mile bike ride about as easily as I walk to the mail box. Sounds like a good deal of fun, once you're in shape.

Eric, I know all the birds around here, and quite a few others, but you got me on the wagtail...had to look it up.

Ron, glad you finally got enough rain to wake up some of your grass.

We missed the last couple of days of scattered storms here, and things dry out fast this time of year, going to 95 today. Feels nice outside now, at 71 and an interesting mix of cloud types.

Got the rest of my bush hogging done yesterday, so it's time to put the tiller back on.

Good morning! 75˚ to 100˚ it's getting dry and dusty again. Like Roy I also have a dump run this morning but here we call it a dumpster run. Since the county offers no garbage pickup and there are no dumps/landfills in the county every few months the country brings in 4 large dumpsters and they help you unload with their tractors. In other bins all plastic, tin cans, aluminum, and glass are recycled.

A suit of armor would be too hot but a astronaut suite would work.

66.9F and partly cloudy @ 07:30 ... breezy today with clouds and sun mix, high of 81F.

Thunderstorms finally managed to hold together long enough to actually get here late last night, delivering some much needed rain a little after midnight.

Looking at a couple of local weather stations nearby, we probably got close to 1" ... in about 1/2 hour. A little faster than I'd care for, but just thankful at this point to get it at all, as it was getting pretty dry. Should handle having to water any plants for a few days at least.

Going up to McMaster this morning to pick up some stainless steel screen, and then start moving tools over to friend's wife's new daycare for the reno's.
