74 going to 94...hit 95 yesterday. Stayed inside much of the middle of the day, partially due to the heat, and partially recuperating from out mountain hike :).

Hope I didn't make anybody go look for the red boat - I was kidding.

Poured first cup of coffee. 58ー with clear skies this morning. Heading to 75ー with mostly sunny skies. Got no rain. Cut the lawn for the last time today. Son and grandson are going take over that job for a couple of weeks. Relax and watch NASCAR in afternoon.
Thanks all for the well wishes. I had the same surgery done on left side in 2000. After 2 surgery's and 7 weeks of recovery I was able to go back to work on very light duty. I am hoping for a better results this time. Good part is I was able to spend time and research buying a new Kubota tractor. I joined the original Kubota forum that became TBN during my recovery. Still have the tractor. But less than 500 hours on it. That's another story. I have put close to 1000 hours on a B2910 at my place.
RNG, like your pictures. I have a couple of camera's that can do those kind of pictures. But alas my iPhone 6 gets much more use.
Drew, give your body some rest. Being sore all the time is no fun.
RS, digging 540' of trench would be a good days work with my B2910's BH.
Good Morning All.

I hope your surgery goes well. Are they using mesh, or doing it with a laparoscope? I had one repaired about 15 years ago, and now it is torn again much worse. I've been delaying surgery "until I get that one more project complete" but need to go. You've got me thinking seriously.

55F cloudy chance show mid morning, low 60's for high winds going to be gusty at times.

If weather holds good might take ride over to Lacoina Bike Week this afternoon, this morning fuel run for pickup and tractor other than that take the day as it comes.

Enjoy the day all.

When a hummer gets trapped in a garage, close the door when dark, turn out all lights, and wait an hour.
The hummer will relax and sit on the floor.
Take your flashlight and locate him and gently pick him up in your cupped hand and release him outside.

This has worked for me several times. They don't seem to mind being picked up

Great idea, thank you. I'll try this next time.

very hot day, already 75 going to 96 today, so heat index should be triple digits. Summertime for sure.
Too hot for me, will find something to do inside this afternoon.
After breakfast going out to pick another load of string beans. Still no tomatoes, greenies on the vine but not doing a lot.
I think our past rain and this heat wave should get them ripe. At last look I think I have over a hundred cucumber flowers. Yikes, I think I'd better learn
how to pickle. I adore dill pickles so maybe it's time to put some up. What I really need is a bunch of that garlic I planted; the garlic shoots look pretty anemic actually; they won't be ready until July at least but I think I'm pulling one up to see what's going on. Half my onions went soft, no idea why.

Good morning all. On my phone today. Feels like a truck has hit me 4 or 5 times. Didn't get the license #. Still have a 24'. Trailer in the drive mostly full.
Oh I can't remember who it was hiking but the way it is said is"They were run off the drive ". Lots of very hard feelings about that even today.
Thanks for the well wishes. Ed

57 right now...not going to get much warmer as 58 is the predicted high. I'm really enjoying this cooler weather!
Sunny right now, but overcast in in the forecast...no rain though.
Pretty wet from yesterday's rain. Once it dries up, maybe some more weed trimming, or mow the field...or a bit of both.

BTW, watched an old (1950) British Navy movie called "Morning Departure" last night. It's about a sub on the bottom of the sea and the rescue attempts to bring the men out. Mostly about the men inside the ship, so it's more talking than action, but engrossing, nevertheless. Free on YouTube...

70 this morning and headed to 96 today. Currently 75.

Think I'll go side dress the corn and till that in while the dew is on. Then it's put the rake back on the tractor and make a 8-9 mile road trip and rake up about 100 bales of hay. Hopefully as that's dads estimates. I've yet to see the field.

Hauled in 52 bales of hay yesterday in 4 loads. Got the shed filled and started stacking for the tarp. That was a learning experience. Only restacked the first pyramid a half a dozen times before I got it to stay. It's a 3 2 1 stack. A lot of weight up high. The Kubota had an easier time reaching the top bale than I thought she would. Will hit 200 hours on that machine today. It's 6 months old. Then went to buddies place and setup his new computers for his chicken coops. He took a lightning strike about 2 weeks ago. Birds go back in next week. Lost 3 computers and was lucky his birds left like 4 days prior so he was empty at the time.

RNG nice pictures. Becareful with that zoom. Someone could say you're spying.

Drew. I understand what you mean about the constant pain. My neck been on the fritz since we started this marathon hay season. Really need it to rain so I can get off tractor for a few days. I think it's the constant jarring.

66F, sunny, and quite breezy @ 09:45 ... high today only 74F ... will be a beautiful and pleasant day.

Got these four stumps dug out yesterday before lightening chased me inside:

IMG_0484.jpg

Came back out after the storm passed and have two more in the same area (garden) almost ready to pop out.

After that there are three more down by the polebarn.

Need to sharpen mower blades for the Simplicity and refill the bird feeders.

Also clean the one bluebird house and put it back up and see if I can exterminate the house sparrow that has nested in the other one.

Ron,

I should think so ...

No way I'd ever get that much done with mine in a single day ...

Fortunately there were two of us.

Good luck with the surgery.

Apparently The Squeak is back in heat ... wandering around, whining and moping, and rubbin' on anything and everything.

Mister Kitty don't like it at all ... probably 'cause he's shootin' blanks ...

Probably gonna have to do something about it.

Good Morning! 72F @ 7:45AM. Sunny. High 92F. Winds SSW at 5 to 10 mph.

WNG, I thought I edited those water nymphs out of the image; I'll have to be more careful next time lest I be accused of spying for using a camera in a public place? :confused2: Eric, the image stabilization really does work well, as all those shots were hand held. I did order a new tripod yesterday though. Hopefully it will last longer than the two previous ones, as it is made from carbon fiber and priced like it was part of a moon shot.

Drew, hope your wrist is feeling better today. NSAIDs for the swelling helped me a few weeks ago when I really banged my knee on the box blade and it swelled up quite nicely. But Bourbon works much better for the pain.

Walked out the patio door to put some meat on the grill a couple nights ago and got nailed in the leg by a swarm of wasps. Turns out that they'd built a sizeable nest up under one of the table extensions on the grill. Another shot of wasp killer took care of that, but the stragglers are still hovering around wondering what happened and they don't seem too pleased about it. Grilling continues, but in a somewhat cautious mode.

My motorcycle guru buddy is due in this morning so we can finish testing on the new alternator setup. It's rated at 600 Watts, a lot for a motorcycle alternator, and last time we managed to get over 900. But we need to also test at lower RPMs to get a better feel for real world performance. We'll also take an in depth look at the same manufacturer's ignition trigger. There have been problems programming the correct advance curve, and the bike it's installed on hasn't run correctly since it was added.

Still no word on the kayaker after another day of fruitless searching.

Hope everyone enjoys their Sunday!

Mesh and Laparoscopic. Surgeon is highly regarded for her work. I hope everyone is right. Having a mesh repaired cannot be a easy procedure. First surgery from 2000 is holding up good for me.
It must be a hereditary thing in my family. My dad had the same surgery when he was my age.

Obviously going into the 90's, since it's 90° right now. Humidity is thick enough to see. Finished my trailer winch mount and changed the ramp gates from drop in pins that got stuck way too often, to offset flat bars with 3 point lift pins with hair pin retainers. No sticking now!

69° and .28 rain last 24 hours
Got some mowing in

Be safe
Have a great day

88° sunny and breezy. Went to the barn to get something, saw my cantaloupe plant withering away, so gave it a shot of water, might be too late. This plant is already a replacement. Corn didn't come up well. Gave the truck a quick hand wash with the hose and a couple shop towels.
Didn't sweat at all with the breeze, but as soon as i came in i sure did.
