76F and sunny @ 11:30, heading up to around 81F for the day's high. Low temp this morning was 48.5F.
Got meds doled out first thing yesterday.
Refilled hopper feeder, also scattered some seed for the ground feeders.
Re-drilled planting hole where the tulip tree was.
Took Cub and mowed around pine tree to blow the needles in towards the base of the tree.
Got 2 more welded wire cages undone so they can be placed around the red maple and ginkgo trees, took those up along with 5' rebar stakes and dropped them off at the trees.
Trimmed down weeds around ginkgo tree.
Took Buffalo up and emptied the water remaining in it: ginkgo tree 8 gallons, large Rose of Sharon 10+ gallons, last 2 small oaks 4 gallons each.
Then took Buffalo down and dropped it back by the garden and hooked it up to refill on low flow.
Cleaned off top of deck on the Cub while I was waiting on the Buffalo to refill.
Also got Stihl blower out and blew the loose dirt out from in front of the garage door.
Then went after the stuck-on dirt, loosening it with a weeding tool, got about half done.
Buffalo finally full after about 45 - 50 minutes so I went back and shut off the water and disconnected it.
The only thing that looked really thirsty were the Beefsteak tomato plants in the grow bags which were drooping ... so I went ahead and watered them, double the normal amount which filled the catch pans under the grow bags (64 oz vs. 32 oz)
Then checked to see what needed picked, came away with another 4 yellow squash, 1 zucchini, and 4 okra.
Hooked the soaker hose on the indeterminate tomatoes and gave them a 45 minute drink on low flow.
Woman took the garbage and recyclables up to the cans at the road.
On agenda for today:
Refill tube feeders.
Some gluing and clamping of those 2 x 12's where they are split/cracked.
Hook up soaker hose on the brassicas and give them a drink.
Move long hose around front so I can hook up the pressure washer and clean the asphalt pavement in front of the garage, in preparation for putting down cold patch.
Swap out the 24" auger bit for the 12".
Pay a couple of bills.
Other than that see what else comes up.
Hope everyone is having a decent Wednesday ...
