So the son just seemed to get over his strep after a round of Zpack azithromycin, but after maybe 5 days, he got sick again. This time instead of the clinic, we took him to his real Doc. She said Z pack not enough to beat back strep. So she gave him Cefdinir. He's allergic to penicillin like me. She gave him 300mg, 2x day, for 10 days. He's on his 3rd day and his fever went away yesterday, but still a lingering cough and sore throat. He hates cough syrup. He got voted MVP for his tennis team. LOL he has a long ways to go but still just a sophomore. Team lost all their good seniors to graduation.
My wife, son and I had an argument. Asking opinions. One side says for the cough/crud/sore throat that the mucinex pills are better, and the other side says Tussin-CF or DM cough syrup/ Dayquil are better. Which do you guys prefer?
Took middle daughter to doctor for more evaluation/ med tweaking. Took her to Whataburger afterwards, but she got the chicken tender box meal.
Ordered 2 new tractor rims for the bigger tractor. 10 x 24" 6 loop rims. On the way from way up north. Guessing the cold will slow down the delivery. Shipping estimated at $84. for FedEx home freight delivery. Not real heavy. Maybe 30lbs each plus pallet. Once they come in, I'll decide to either order the cheaper tires (2 for $500), or pay the big bux and get the Firestones. $870/pair.
Good Morning! 33˚F heading to the upper 50s with clear skies and N winds.
BIL had a terrible wreck on his motorcycle with an 18 wheeler yesterday in Columbus TX and was lifeflighted to Houston 75 miles away. Might be making a trip to Houston this week.
Does not sound good Don and Karen. Prayers. If he was on the interstate 10, I hate that section. I have only rode a motorcycle once on that section back in 1990 on a nice Yamaha Venture Royale.
It is going good. Loving retirement. Getting a lot of projects completed.
Good to hear from you! I thought of you when I saw a nice but maybe 80-90% AJS 500 on FB. Do you ever ride the BSA?
Got a verbal OK to buy a new wire EDM machine for our program in January. Also a donor gave to our welding technical elective. Our welding technical elective is a deep dive into the books with 2 or 3, hour long lectures along with a 3+ hour shop lab each week. The students get to burn a lot of rods, mig a lot of test pieces, and get a good taste of tig welding steel and aluminum. Only 32 students per year get to take the class. Best GPA gets you in. They all rave about how much they learned taking the course. It's not a blow off course, they get weekly quizzes, tests, welding tests (not certifications) and they have a final exam.
49F went to 70F today, going back down to 38F tomorrow morning.
Buppies, on time I was taking some antibiotics for something, not long after my wife had delivered a child. I accidentally took one of her hydrocodone pain pills. Didn't do nothing for me. Realized it the next time I reached into the cupboard to get my prescription and noticed it had her name on it. Same sized bottle, similar sized and shaped pills. Hope y'all are alright. Come down off of that cloud with those dreams!
BEF, Mushroom crop circles? don't make tea with them!
Ponytug, had some co-workers from the Santa Clara area, and they all talked about 1 of their buddies at our sister shop out in CA had a huge avocado tree. They would go over and get bushels of avocados. Wish it didn't freeze here, but watch what you wish for right?
Popgadget, trying to figure out what I want to print on the new multicolor multi head printer first? I'm thinking a full sized Mandalorian helmet? Of course after synchronizing the heads on something smaller.
Some of our students got to go tour the Peterbilt factory up near Denton Texas about a month ago. Said sales are slow, theorized companies are waiting for the interest rates to go down.
Hope you all have a blessed week. Prayers for our team, our nation, and for peace in the World.
