Do you think some lubricant between the parts would help? Maybe a light smear of silicon grease? :confused3:

Thats what I used before and it always started working properly, but this time it did not. Maybe with the vinegar soaking and the grease . . . .

50 right now going to 70 and sunshine. Now this is why I live here, supposed to rain tomorrow. Have to go get 10 round bales of hay today. Maybe I will go weigh the trailer while it is hooked up so I can get tags. LOL

Eric, I will pull the wheels and look for info on the axle today, otherwise it will be the weekend before I can test it. I asked about the wool because I have a SIL that buys whole fleeces and cleans, spins and dyes her own, my wife and I look at her wondering why when you can go to the store and buy it ready to use. Guess it is no different then me cutting down trees to make my own lumber. :D

RNG, again, thanks for all of your help and will keep you up to date on what I find, on/off is not what I want.

Drew, glad you found your pipe, I saw a piece of pipe down on the river bank over the weekend and wondered if it was yours.

42 going to 61 today, much warmer day, lots planned outside.

Neighbors stopped over yesterday while I was working down at the barn and he asked
how the culvert was going. I pointed over to the big black pipe and, and...it was gone!
We all started looking around, who could have taken a 13 foot long piece of big plastic pipe?

Mother Nature of course...two inches of rain, an unsecured pipe sitting in the bottom of the ditch, the plastic
pipe went on a little sea cruise. Down the ditch it went, made the bend at the Y, and wound up all the way back in the woods a hundred feet away jammed into the main water ditch back there. It's actually pretty light for its size and very understandable how in the downpour it just merrily floated downstream.
I had been listening to the Allman Bros and thought I ought to change the tunes name from Traveling Man to Traveling Pipe...

And all good evidence on why culverts need to be secured...
I have the sand, just waiting on ABC either this afternoon or tomorrow morning. I didn't want to set the pipe in the sand because I figured I'd get stuck
with my pants down/stone not delivered and the whole thing would wash away. Which it clearly would have.
Once again, trying to get the ground as dry as possible before
the next big rain comes in. But the new water diversion ditches are doing their job, no big pools of standing water any more.

Drew, it sounds like your pipe has the Come and Go Blues:D

Good Morning. 0800, partly cloudy, 48F with 97% humidity. Forecast high of 69F with no chance of rain today, and a low of 54F tonight.

I bought a couple of family sized packs of pork chops yesterday, and had to break them up for the freezer. There was one odd chop out, so an egg and pork chop breakfast here at the Larro Ranchero this morning. A nice change from my usual flax seed meal, granola, seeds, nuts, grapes and Greek yogurt.

I've been watching Cam and Company eating Red Bird pie this morning. Just now getting to start of 4th quarter, so don't you guys play spoiler and tell me how it ends:laughing:

Margie has to be at the County Commissioner meeting tonight, so I have the place to myself until 19-2000 tonight. Not sure what I will get into today. I pruned apple persimmon trees yesterday. Maybe I will continue in that vein today. I know the grapevines could use a hair cut.

You guys have a good one,

Larro

Don;

Try some CLR. It works way better than vinegar on calcium, lime, rust.

Not a great beginning to the day...

Up at 0200 since I was to go to Connecticut for training today (along with a co-worker). I was at the plant at 0430 to check e-mails and such....left at 0530 to head south.
Truck lost it's fuel pump about 30some miles down I-91. My co-worker called his wife and she picked him up and they continued to Connecticut. I waited about an hour for the tow truck...boy! it was cold setting in the F-150! Anyway, fuel pump is being replaced (got to drop the gas tank for the job).
I guess this will cost me about $700 by the time it's all done. Fuel pump is a bit north of $450 and that doesn't include installation.
My step-daughter picked me up and I'm home now...drinking a beer.

That was my big adventure for the day!

sorry Roy, expensive day

60 out going to 67, warmer than they thought.
Have been working outside rolling mud ruts and after getting the Gravely stuck twice more, pulling it out with the tractor, it's clear no stone is coming tomorrow unless I want a dump truck as a field ornament.
I was thinking if he could start laying stone like on a driveway towards the end, he'd at least have stone to leave on. Really getting sick of this mud. Worse it smells like pig poop down by the barn so I know what the prior owner kept down there...

"Near" being a relative term... Work is 50 miles (vicinity of Charlestown, NH) from Bethel, and we were another 30 miles south.
But, it could have been worse...could have been in CT when the pump went...

Hit 50 today. Made it to work, lots of snow still blocking lanes. A few wrecks, people driving too fast and suddenly their lane became a 6 ft snowbank, or became a half lane.

Saw lots of front end loaders clearing lanes like this.

33F here, getting colder overnight. Most of our snow is gone, and we don't seem likely get to get more in the next week. Got a little work done at my wife's shop, then picked up chicken feed. Nice store in town, used to be the coop, now it's owned by a local farmer. The local farmers own lots of businesses here.

Have a good one!

Roy those fuel pumps can be a pain when they go out anymore. Hope yours doesn't hit your wallet too hard. BTW congrats on wife's birthday and 20K posts

3am and it is 58 outside and raining. We are predicted to have 3 days of rain, we will see.

Yesterday I picked up 2 loads of round bales (20 bales) and put them away, and my hay supplier offered me a deal on about 60 square bales at $4 a bale. I will be going back today for those. That should keep me till pastures come back in in the spring. Then I have a Doctors appointment with the liver Dr. this afternoon.

No work on the wagon in the rain, but the more I research, the more I am inclined to skip the pedal idea and just use the controller by hand.

37 right now...high of 38 today.

Turns out it wasn't the fuel pump...although all the symptoms pointed to that. At this point, the mechanic isn't sure what the problem is. Real bummer and I'm not sure where it will go from here. I am sure it's going to be costly.
I've already rented a car for my Connecticut trip tomorrow. More info when I get more info...
