Glad it went well and safe. Just went through this and took down all trees dead or alive that was leaning towards the driveway as well as a bunch of major overhanging branches . Really changed the look going up the driveway to much more open feeling. The big dead pine was pulled over with bull rope 200 ft long tied to another tree

pulling the curtains tightly closed in office to keep the heat out but
thankfully my little house hvac seems to have plenty of capacity
weather gauge says 100/117 but in reality a little cooler, I think those things despite their fans
often read too hot in direct sun
no desire to go outside.

reminds me to go open door in car to let some of the heat out.
I have a front reflective shade on it, prevents most of the sun damage

going to bread and fry some flounder for dinner. Maybe it's halibut, forgot...
going to dip them in milk and then use bread crumbs.
I need to get some mild cajun spices, that would go well.
I rarely tire of putting a little curry powder in, and maybe some
powdered mustard.

hard to get fired up over food when so hot out
my gas grill is in direct afternoon sun, no way am I going out there.
so I try to cook with toaster oven to stop heating up entire kitchen.

Success, a refund of $140 from the gas company and got the new (warranty) Ryobi leaf vac delivered yesterday.
Now one of the two porch fans (no light kits) on the same switch stopped working. What would be your order to diagnose it? The fan move a half rotation when I turned on the switch then it stopped.

75Fnice gentle breeze seems to be pushing humidity out.
Had about 10 mins hard down pour temp drop 12 digress couple mins...dang.

Out the door before daybreak remove quartz rock,between hand shoveling axing tree roots below ground using planks swatting deer flies came out woods with smile but tuckered tomorrow I'll rock good bath before setting in place.

Plans for the evening...deck with feet until.

I took the big ladder around back and turned the ceiling fan it had one friction spot and it stopped again after moving a bit. I oiled the spindle good and it seems to be working fine. Easy fix #2 for the morning thread.

A lot of the modern fans are DC motors driven by a power supply module tucked up under the trim. They often include a remote control function. The fact that it moves would indicate that it’s getting power. If it has a remote, find it and see if that brings it to life. If it doesnt, and it does have driver module tucked inside, you might swap them between fans, that would be my guess as to the culprit, based on the little information.
It might be a waste of time if parts aren’t available, as is often the case.

Good (Saturday) morning. Overnight Low of 10.1C and it's presently 12.7C, dark overcast with the odd gust and heavy rain...

A 'rain event' is called for with 10-40mm occurring to early Saturday arvo. We'll see.

There was 50.5mm in the gauge @0900 and it's still raining, at times my gutters are being overwhelmed so I take it that my water tanks are full . I checked my gauge wearing my wellies/Akubra/Driza-Bone (riding oilskin).

Lovely day. The 'event' is predicted to end by 1400.
