Coffee is done brewing. 70° with rain this morning. Heading to 83° with some rain showers. 1.29" of rain overnight. Grocery shopping was good. Got home and put things away. It was way to hot for anything other than Conserve Energy. Today may be the same as yesterday. After PT this morning.
Squirrels seem to have playtime every afternoon. There are 3 of them. But only 2 play at a time.

I entertain my squirrels all the time with my favorite version of "catch the bb"
only when they come close to feeders

trash out to curb, birds fed, I'm fed, showered and shaved, so getting good early start to day.
Primarily because it will be so ghastly hot and humid this afternoon sure won't be outside.
though I use to love to mow in the high heat in NC. Both Kubota and Massey had good cab a/cs, never had to run
past medium speed in 90 degree weather.
today's weather is like coastal NC, serious heat index, good day to drink extra water.

I'm off to have breakfast with school board friend, and take him some tomatoes.
Then I head to Ken's home to take him some tomatoes too, plus the chain for my little Makita
chain saw. Ken has the files.
Then home to hide in the a/c, do my laundry this afternoon as the basement stays nice and cool.

actually might run the rv gen when I get home plus the a/c to get humidity out of unit.
it gets 90+ in there in afternoon in full sun, awning on wrong side.
which reminds me need to flush more fresh water in tanks and add some treatment.
They are 99 percent empty, have already been treated, microbes in chemicals digest anything edible.
on hot days I crack the main door, leave the screen door shut, and run the vent fan, try to move some air
through the rv. But on a 98 degree day, just moving the heat around.

one of my rv paintings already slid down wall due to heat melting two sided tape.
no harm
all the food is out of rv so nothing the heat will bother, plus doors to fridge are open.

made green bean casserole with chicken last night
beans too crunchy, I baked this, I guess not enough.
Still in iron pot, will bake it again and bet it will be perfect.
plus a salad with all my own stuff, cucumbers, peppers, tomatoes and basil

Ct, 69 to start , Oh Boy, going to 92 to 95

Dennis, maybe a day off from the deck work today

I did get some weed trimming done yesterday but because I was partly on the back side of the property I wore long work pants because of the poison ivy back there It wasn’t long before I was soaked in sweat.

Kathleen is having a pizza party for friends next Thursday, so she wants the place looking good, meaning I have to have everything trimmed again by next Wednesday This weekend we have 2 of our grandchildren for the weekend so probably won’t get much done around here while they are here. Might have to take them to an amusement park on Saturday. Will try and keep them busy. Hopefully some quality time in the cement pond.

I have been using my new hearing aids for over a week now, they are quite an improvement, just need to remember to put them in and take them out, especially when going in the pool

my brother and his wife are at their summer cabin in Cedarville and I just emailed them saying
boy is it nice up there. Heat dome made its way here in the East but not that far North.
I think brother finally broke down and put a window a/c unit in house. It does get hot there at times,
particularly without a breeze

Good morning, the low is 63 and going up to 75°F. Wind N 5 mph. Sunny.
Rained overnight, but that is okay, it'll help the grass seed root.The seed that didn't get washed away in last evenings downpour.

I think I will follow Rons example today and conserve energy. Learn from your elders they said.

Ron, your two playing out of three means the third one is standing guard.

Scored a pint of Niagara-On-The-Lake, Ontario grown strawberries and cherries yesterday. They are good!

good morning, 73 going to 92 warmer today, Santa Fe NM 57 going to 83 high desert is nice in summer 7000ft elevation

Mowed grass yesterday and was able to move some dried up areas as well. More of the same today

Continue working on the wall support. More digging and gravel to get ready for the lumber

Paying property taxes today ouch although could be worse if not for forrest and AG exemptions
