Did work on deck all day, was pretty nice out with a breeze, and work is now shaded until late afternoon.
kept the pad wet all day to slow down the cure.
got 2 step posts installed, and extra wood for the picture framing. replaced one joist on deck2 that had twisted a lot. Used up the rest of my joist tape, almost ready to start putting on the trex, but want to get stair framing in first.
Also need 1 more 2x8 for the step stringers to rest against.

82F high thin clouds humidity today yesterday morning could see ones breath this morning by 8am sweat dripping of my noise.

Out the door before daybreak slow but steady day,8 bucket loads of rocks for 2 culvert headers are in place,also rake and seed...lot of breaks.
Found good size quartz rock and has copper color vane running the length,tomorrow I'll try get it tractor bucket and set it on the stump near end of driveway.
Time to head for the deck with smooth cigar wait for critter and stars.

Got the 24” auger mounted and 4 planting holes for arbs drilled.

Only about a foot or so deep, figure that should be plenty.

Was really interested in the spoil to use as a dam to catch water.

Otherwise could have just dumped some screened compost and planted above grade.

Will likely hold off on doing any more until after the widow-makers are down.

Woman just returned from picking up our scripts.

Good (Friday) morning. Overnight Low of -2.3C and it's presently 11.7C, fairly clear & calm but that'll change this evening. A 'rain event' is called for with 10-40mm occurring to early Saturday arvo. We'll see.

A good meeting last evening with a Thai meal.

good morning all
up early, slept well, a/c ran all night and going to be a very hot day today
starting off with breakfast with a friend, have a ziplock of fresh picked tomatoes for him.
I was hoping to fiddle with that shock mount today but Amazon said mounting kit coming a day later.
I'm finding that more often Amazon does not make its one day delivery; get a lot of rescheduled items for next day.

Peter, the psi stickers on my car and rv are followed carefully. Not so much with this ebike I rarely use and not for very far.
tiny tires with tiny print; now just for curiosity will put a flashlight on it today to see what rating is.
I normally run about 5 pounds under max on my rear rv tires, but I run my hands over them to check for even wear, they seem fine.
I run with my rv fairly light, but you are right, and Ron has said this before, only way to do this right is to get rv weighed at each corner.

Fronts have have some side wear, but skinny 225 tires on a motorhome steering around Rocky Mountain curves will sure put some stress on
tire edges, so I expected that. All the tires were brand new two years ago so just need to keep them pumped up and valve stems working.

hitch a ride with Brittany Force, who broke the NHRA record last week at 341 mph
and she was racing against a Kalitta. Multi generational racers for sure.

you really have to wonder why these things don't lift off, even giant jets lift off at lower speeds...
must have a lot of downforce being applied
problem is downforce limits speed usually

pretty sure this would hurt my ears...
the old days at the drag strip were loud enough
