84F and sunny @ 12:00, calling for a high temp of 85F. DP 63F, HU 51%, "feels like" temp 88F. Clouds will be increasing this afternoon with 15% chance of a stray shower or thunderstorm.
Got all the newly planted winter squash and pumpkins well-watered and fed with that Schultz's tomato food.
Got string line run and the north fence line and post locations marked out with marking paint.
A 66' x 66' enclosed area looks like it will result in about another 6' of width (west to east) to the garden on the east side. Still need to run the tape and see what it looks like on a north to south basis ...
Gate on the north fence line ended up in a decent spot. Not perfectly lined up with the arched trellis but close enough that I can maneuver the Kubota to get it in and steer into it if need be.
Steak, baked potatoes, and asparagus all turned out great ... despite being out of Montreal Steak Seasoning. Baked potatoes were huge, couldn't eat all of my potato and steak ... so have some leftover for today.
Forgot to refuel the Cub after I unloaded the gas can from The Woman's car yesterday so that's on the agenda first thing.
Then start the mowing down here around the house.
After I get that done I may go ahead and run the string line for the fence line/post locations on the east perimeter. Will use the 3, 4, 5 method to get the right angle and the vector.
Have one post location for the north H brace (on the northwest corner post) that I need to check to make sure it is not going to hit the main sewage line going from the house to the first septic tank.
Had some nipping on a few cukes and tomatoes the other night so we re-positioned a couple of remesh panels to block entry into the garden from the north and rehung the deer netting on the south perimeter as the last thing yesterday.
Today I will get the stink juice sprayer cleaned out and hose everything down as a further deterrent.
Need to haul the last of the branches from that ash tree up the brush pile.
Hopper feeder needs refilled so that's on the list as well.
Day lilies have started to bloom.
Hope everyone is having a decent Thursday.
