Good morning, 65 going to 84 beautiful day

Happy 4th of July

On the way down to the vineyard there was an accident involving a motorcycle crashing into a car that turned out in front of it on 15 at Lucketts VA. When we came back several hours later police was still there surveying with a drone. Very similar to my accident many years ago

Wife enjoyed the trip.

Good Morning,
Vt, 54 to start going to 74. Beautiful crisp blue sky type of day.
I smoked 4 racks of ribs yesterday and brought them down to my neighbor for his July 4 th party later today. The plan is to take the whole gang out on the boat and come back to his party for the later part of the day.

Couple of projects from the shop
Beautiful as always Phil 😉
up too early but after some issues with cramping legs, slept well
Drew, I seem to have the same issues. Kathleen mentioned that if you take magnesium that could help. I also try and hydrate as much as possible without having to pee all day 😉

Happy 4th to everyone today, and praying for a safe passage through the holiday 🙏

Good Morning
63° and clear sky, high in the upper 70’s under continued clear skies. 0% POP. A perfect day for a picnic. We did get 1/2” of rain yesterday evening.

Yesterday I was able to follow the plan, got the mowing done with the Progressive. Did some more with the Lazer. Still have a little to do with the Lazer between the pastures and the hedgerow and pond.

Painter finished the shed, I put the diesel fuel tank and trailer back where they normally live along side the shed. Painter had his teenage daughter working with him, she was a hard worker and did a good job.

Got the brisket prepped and the smoker fired up last night, looks like it is close to done now. I’ll get it out, wrapped and into the cambro until serving time this afternoon.

Nice meeting at the RC club, did some flying before the meeting, son is now a member of the club as well.

I was a bit of a slacker, and forgot to take pictures of anything. Maybe I’ll remember to get the brisket coming out of the smoker.

Mowing later this morning to finish up, picnic this afternoon.

Magnesium works great for me also.

Happy 4th of JulY! 76˚F heading to the mid 80s light rain most of the day so far 0.08 since midnight.
On the menu home made vegi-hotdogs, watermelon, non-dairy ice cream (Nada Moo). The hot dogs are made in the instant pot so I will not have to grill in the wet. The hot dog buns are Daves killer Bread buns.

hmmm, I have that Cal-Mag spray for the tomatoes, maybe I should spray some on my arm...
my multivitamin has magnesium, have to read fine print to see how much. Good idea, thanks.

worked in the gardens for a while, mostly trimming back bushes that had grown too large, and a few tomatoes that
were encroaching on the peppers. Snip. Filled up a cart load of trimmings on a nice cool morning.
yes this should be a perfect picnic day

If I sweat a lot I take a 250 mg tablet of magnesium, if I am active and sweat a lot I take two tablets. If I'm really really active and sore at bedtime I take an epson salt bath which is Magnesium Sulfate.

"Magnesium sulfate (MgSO4) is a naturally occurring mineral used for various medical and therapeutic purposes, including treating magnesium deficiency, constipation, and muscle soreness."

Morning all, 70 going to 83 and sunny.
Happy 4th of July!

Did 6 hours of weedtrimming and hedge trimming.
Went back to the neglected short trail and cleaned out the stiltgrass, but still dangerous back there from falling Ash, so I only did that one loop
Trimmed back the hedges btw my house and neighbors on shared road, he's been away for work.
Too out the stiltgrass, and trimmed alll along the whole shared road and took out some wayward bushes down to the public road.
Tired so went in showered and took the wife to the movies, we had not been since before pandemic. Expensive.

Not sure what we are doing today, son is working and no fireworks near us except private.
While cutting down the trail, saw a young 4 pointer. He was not happy to see me, didn't notice me until the last second, I guess the battery weedwhacker isn't that noisy

Yellow jackets dug under bricks on front path, powdered them last night, hopefully won't see them soon.

Mowed 4 of the little side fields and new sitting area (fruit tree area behind garage).

Today , move out rest of pool furniture, change tube in other bike. Hopefully go out and do something.

I take magnesium when I get too many cramps, forget which one, but there are 2 general types, one bothers the stomach more and I avoid it. I have to take a lot of vitamins since my body does not absorb fat anymore. Magnesium is pretty big, not much in multivitamins.

Be well, and out thoughts are with you Buppies and Holly.

Still life, sitting area and baby peach tree.

I hate stiltgrass, it will grow up through bushes, other grasses and does not need much sun.

Probably cut a few thousand square feet of it yesterday, this is one small section

If you want to take magnesium, I would suggest one of the organic forms; e.g. magnesium citrate or magnesium gluconate. Magnesium oxide has about a 2% bioavailability, so it isn't doing much for your health, or your wallet.

All the best,

Peter

thanks Ponytug, I ordered the magnesium glycinate which is supposed to be gentlest on stomach, plus got it in gel caps.
18 cents a day, will give it a try. Chelated for high absorption so they say.

instead of making a chicken salad sandwich for lunch, decided to get energized on a nice day and barbecue some chicken thighs.
they were melt in my mouth, cooked them slowly on grill.
