Did a bit of mower maintenance yesterday, but never dried enough to mow.

Mule still driving me crazy. It will start, run for 30 seconds or so, sounding good then sounds abit rough and quits. Quits sooner if given gas. Will not restart unless it has sat an hour or so. New fuel filter, air filter looks good. Frustrating.

Had to load up my scaffolding to take to friend John’s for his Quonset building erection.

Cards this afternoon. First game since before Sophie went to AZ.

Sorry about the frustration. Have you checked/cleaned the carb and main jet yet? Failing that run a can of SeaFoam through it?

When you say “given gas” do you mean that you actually added gas to the intake, or that you advanced the throttle?
If it’s the latter, it’s starving for fuel and will be a carb or fuel supply issue.
If it’s the former it’s likely an ignition issue.

When I was a youth, a wise mechanic told me that 99% of carburetor issues were ignition…..

But that was a different era, before the lousy ethanol fuel that we have today.

Could be something as simple as fuel tank cap not venting. Try loosening up cap to let air into tank. Also have a fuel pump. What year and model is your Mule?

85 and sunny, nice summer day, nice enough decided to mow and trim today vs tomorrow so got my steps in.
was going to pound in boundary line stakes this afternoon but no power left in right hand.
If I try left handed, will look like laurel and hardy routine.

everything in garden is leaping up. More showers expected tonight.

lots of two for one deals this morning at store, bought some extra blueberries and strawberries to give to older lady
across the street. Plus some of my string beans. I was all excited that blueberries said Jersey Fresh but they didn't taste any
thing special. Not that floral flavor I associate with NJ blueberries.

was a nice day to mow the lawn. Looks like maple leaf helicopters are ready to fly.

hmmm, now they are saying an inch of rain tonight.

Currently 84F and overcast as the clouds have rolled in. Was 91F earlier when the sun was out.

Chased in by the raindrops and lightning. Needed to come in to cool off and rehydrate anyways.

Collected up some old fence hardware.

Verified that what the buzzard was picking at was indeed a small groundhog so I guess I got that one as well. Need to collect it up and take it up to the woodlot so it’s not stinkin’ up the back.

Got more weeds pulled around one of the old blueberry bushes. Need to get netting up on that one so the birds don’t pick it clean.

Woman went out the other morning and picked a bunch of blueberries off one of the bushes. Said we need to get more of that type … berries were huge and tasted really good … very sweet.

Ran a string line off the arched trellis posts and used that to put up two 4’ x 8’ remedy panels to use as trellises for pole beans.

Cultivated about 8’ on the west side of where the next cattle panel will go for the next section of arched trellis so I can get a couple Waltham Butternut squash planted.

Special Weather Statement just issued - strong thunderstorm headed our way, heavy rain starting in 15 minutes.

Decided to mow, so got that all done.
Wasn’t too hot. 90 now.

As I was mowing up by the road corner, some guy pulls out of the side road pulling a trailer of junk, trailer came disconnected, swung up under the vehicle. He was able to unhook chains, pull forward, jack up trailer and get it connected again.

Storms popping up, but none close yet.

Have you blown the fuel lines out?
Maybe add an electric fuel pump to supply the carb.
