txdon;Drew do you have a title insurance claim if the total acreage is the same?[/QUOTE said:
No I don't Don and I asked the surveyor to recalculate based on the new measurements and they came up very close to what was printed on the deed. So I got all my land, it's just not where I thought it was.

long day. walked the entire property line with the surveyor. Met a number of neighbors including the guy who had piled all kinds of junk "over the line". He just retired, is very nice, got along fine with the prior owner and asked if he could wait to move the piles of brick, pipe, some raised garden bed woodwork, etc, until later this year when it got cooler and I of course said sure, and that I'd bring my tractor over and help him move it. That went over well. Moving down the line, through the swamp, spiders in face, literally balancing on slimy logs to get over a wet spot. Found another neighbor had junked a fiberglass boat on my property. That sure is going to get moved. But otherwise things were where I expected them to be, except for I found out I own a whole lot more legacy ditches and I have even more ditch cleaning to do.

So, turns out I'm buying my little wooden bridge back from my neighbor, in fact about a third of the one acre is land I thought I already owned. Oh well...someone screwed up long, long ago and that ditch line was off by about 30 feet.
the surveying company is the oldest and most respected in the area; I'm pretty confident they got it right. The owner said he personally checked it four times. Ok.

So after walking for what seemed like miles, then came back and mowed the lawn. Thought I could get away with just part of it but it all needed it. Getting to be be careful what once asks for. My weed and feed and the pretty consistent rainfall has made the grass grow about half an inch a day. At least all the places I had to repair filled in.

Sounds good. We've picked green beans a couple times now, have tons of leaf lettuce, ate all our radishes so I planted more, cabbage and carrots are being used.

Thinking about mowing the lawn - it's 100˚ - don't even want to know the heat index. Still thinking . . . . . .

Drew when we surveyed I lost 2 two hundred year old oaks that went to the other side of the fence line. Two yeas ago the drought killed them so I wasn't so sad. After the survey my priority was new fences exactly on the property line. What do you plan on marking your property line with?

Have you used Map My Ride to create routes? It's a great mapping site.

Ron, I hope the best for your mom.

Don's right, it is hot here, yet I still have some outside chores to do. I got hot yesterday after some shredding and lawn mowing so I went fishing (in the shade). Then at dusk, I got back on the riding mower and finished the front yard with the headlights.

I'll second the use of Map My Ride. I've used it since 2010, Firstly for walking and this year for mountain bike riding. Now got the app on my phone and it automatically uploads the just completed activity to my 'account' (free) I have with the website. Check out jimshooz on there.

Good morning. Windy and showers today. At least the wind keeps the horse flies away.

You are right farmer, I should make the most of the conditions today and extend that fence a few feet.

Apart from the ponds drying up, one other consequence of all the relatively dry months is that sheep turds have not been breaking down as fast as usual. Now we are back to slightly wet conditions, it is all too easy for even the permanent four wheel drive Subaru to prefer to obey the rules of gravity in favour of the direction of the steering wheel when travelling at an angle down a well lubricated grassy slope. Dave, if you off to look at a new Forester, can you check to see if their new fancy electronics now incorporate a deep poop avoidance mode :)

A lightning strike or just old and tired?

My guess is old and tired...I have no idea how old the pump is. House was built in 1990 or '91. Could be the original pump.

True..and I was supposed to be in Connecticut Monday and Tuesday for training. Due to a customer issue, I had to fore-go this session which sucked, but I guess in this situation, it was the "silver lining" of the cloud.

68 going to 89. The heat and humidity are back for a while.

Had a good visit with son and GF yesterday, and then it rained, so no mowing, finally.

Larro, wow - 25 stitches from a chair sounds terrible. Hope your mom is getting better.
