Good Morning Helo,
BTW, I wish that my German was as good as your English ! Your Englis is very good, your German is excellent and of course your Latvian is spot on ! It is the GM TBN crew that needs to step up our game on languages ! 😁

TxDon, wondering how you did with the German song that Bill posted ?

Again, have a great day !
Und ich hier die Ohnmacht kriegen? Bier her, Bier her, oder ich fall um. Bier her, Bier her, oder ich fall um!!!

From days long ago...LOL. Is it 5 0'clock yet?

I am too old to fall for such compliments 😁
If you would help me to polish my language skills, that would be great. Don't be afraid to improve (correct) me if you see mistakes :) Style, sequence of words. Sometimes I feel myself, that I am typing something silly but urge to express myself is bigger than shame :ROFLMAO:

For tires I have Michelin Pilot Alpine3
Really happy with them.
Here in EU we have 2 general types of tires. Central/south motorists normally drives with rather hard tires. Still winter, but harder tires.
Nord mainly uses "friction" or "soft" tires. Sponges :) Riga is on 57-th parallel. For Nord America that's already South Canada. So I assume we are in Center / Nord. But that line is really blurred. So those who are looking for stability in higher speed goes for Centro-type. Those Michelin I have are Nordic. Doesn't last THAT many miles, and really dont like to run over 100 mph. But for snow / ice 👍
A long time ago,in a galaxy far, far away…

on my first car, a 1975 Chevrolet Impala Sport Coupe (a 3-ton 18+’ behemoth), the first set of new tires I bought were Michelins, and they discontinued them shortly after, because even though they were rated for 25000 miles, they had longevity issues...under normal driving…

I wish I had bought several sets, because they were incredibly crispy tires, and I could toss that monstrosity around turns like it was a 911. I know this because I once passed a 911 on a cloverleaf on the inside shoulder (I was young and dumb 😁👍) at around 65 mph.

those tires were almost bald at around 8000 miles, and they were worth every Penny!

Tom, I'm hyper about that heater. It's what burns down rvs and boats all the time.
Mine sits on a hard flat surface with nothing nearby and I think is rated at 1100 watts.
when I'm done working on rv, making sure all the water is out, hopefully in a few days, I won't need it any more.
I can still use the propane furnace, have a half tank left, that heats up rv in a hurry.
I just don't want to work in an ice cold bathroom.

I appreciate the tip.
What about the oil-filled radiator-type electric heaters?

Yo !

Here you can see how good morning I had

I understand, this is social thread, but we can discuss tractors here too, dont we ? 😁

Funny thing. Sunday night used plow, was - 10 C. Then took it off and worked a bit with bucket. It was late, dropped tractor as is, with bucket on. Left plow indoors.
This morning obviously had to put plow back. Mechanically all good, but coudnt connect hydraulics of plow. Until realized that problem is temperature increase from -10 top +20 C. Thus pressure has raised and I simply coudnt press tip of quick connector.
Wasted good 20 min. F*** around. Pardon, but no other words on that. Loosen connector near cylinder, literally 5 g of oil leaked. Done.

~~~~~~~~
Plowed good 3 1/2 hours
That was really what my leaking nose needed. 😁
On my quick connects (Pioneer Ag type) I can usually just place the male connector against a piece of steel and shove the teat in to release a bit of oil and then get the connector to work. It does dribble just a bit of oil.
well concerns over the electric heater were unfounded.
power on light fooled me, I never turned the unit on
31.6 degrees in rv this morning
tried to turn the electric heater on, voltage went to 110. Forget that.
turned on the propane furnace to 50 degrees and left it to warm up.
cleaning lady coming, wasting time picking stuff up for her.
But still too cold to go out
snow flurries a few minutes ago looked pretty
Good Morning!!!! 47F @ 5:00AM here in Yankee Hill. Partly cloudy skies. High 63F. Winds light and variable.
Took a quick look at Temu a while back, Ted, and it seemed too good to be true. Sure enough, lots of reviews claiming the stuff is junk; knock offs made poorly. Hope your order works out, though.
Found a few mouse nests as I've been taking things apart in the garage, Drew. No food out there, so they're just trying to get in out of the weather. I use snap traps in the house baited with chunky peanut butter. I've had to adjust a couple of the Victor traps to get them to trip more easily.
Been a long time since I cooked a turkey, but the one I fixed for Thanksgiving still came out OK. I didn't have a rack to get it up out of the juices, so the bottom didn't brown, and was even a little under cooked. There was plenty of white meat to go around, though, and the drum sticks were fine. Tons of other dishes, everyone was stuffed. Lots of left overs, too.
We were supposed to go for a bike ride early in the day, but the guests didn't show up in time. My buddy and I went on Friday, my first time on the new-to-me e-bike. It has a twist grip throttle, like a motorcycle, but it's pretty much an on/off deal. It was nice to get some help on the hills, but it really needs a better switch to spread out the power application. The derailleurs needed adjusting, too, as only a few of the gears could be used. Little things to take care of, when there's more time to fool with it.
Got about half the hanging shelves put up in the garage, and moved the standing shelves I brought up into the mezzanine above the garage. Got everything unpacked, and somewhat organized, and came home yesterday with lots of empty boxes. Need to set up a 10K mile service on the van, so will call on that today. Brought back the Yamaha motorcycle to shuttle me back after dropping it off at the dealer.
Got one hike in to a waterfall south of Buellton. Signs all over the place warning of rock falls, and that the trail was closed. Didn't keep anyone out, even those with babes in arms. Probably fifty or sixty foot drop, but only a trickle of water this time of year. We'll have to go back and see it once the rains start back up.
Not sure what I'll get up to today, other than cleaning out the trailer and moving the empty boxes out of the way. Aiming for another trip south next week, but we'll see.
Hope everyone's week got off to a good start...
Morning all, 29 going to 37 , might have some snow...
Got nothing done yesterday and a rough night.
Heard back from specialists office, they wanted all my Dr. notes and test data sent before he decides if he will see me or not.
I am switching groups at work to focus on one of my bigger projects. Will change who I report into. Will provide more stability I hope as more "reorganizations" are in the works.
Also talking about making me go into the office at least one day a week. At 2.5 hours each way into downtown Manhattan and $32/day for train and $6/day for subway, it gets expensive fast.
Sorry to hear about your friend Sodamo/David.
Be well,
Good morning everyone. Zero degrees, going up to 23. brrrr. Just after I hit the remote start for the Jeep (to go), I get a call from the dentist that their hygenist called in sick and needed to reschedule. Didn't really want to go anyway... I got a blower fan for my wood stove. I ordered it last Wed and it showed up yesterday. It's made in Wisconsin and was for my model stove (Avalon 1750) and the stove had the threaded holes already. Bolted right up. I did not use the temp sensing switch, since that did not fit tight in the underside area, so I just turn it on/off with the supplied variable speed switch. The switch has magnets to keep it in place, on a not-so-hot baffle part of the exterior. Works WAYYYY better than the box fan, which I'd been using for the two years I've been here.
The 4 western provinces are divided from the U.S. by the 49th parallel. I am considered in Southern Canada, but northern Ontario. I am well south of the 49th.
Drew, have you thought about putting some RV anti-freeze in your water tanks, including the water heater?
For future reference, whether it is turkey, duck, goose, roast beef/pork, you can cut carrots lengthwise and rest the meat on them. Potatoes work good, too. I don't have a rack either.
