Good Morning
It’s 66 with a high of 70 under partly to mostly cloudy skies today. 40% POP.
Yesterday was a beautiful day weather wise, a busy day for me.
The morning trip to the Vineyard went according to plan, I was home for lunch about 12:30.
Called Drew on the way home for lunch to tell him to come over later in the afternoon so I could get some generator wiring done first. The wiring worked out surprisingly well considering I had to pull additional wires through existing conduits. I was just wrapping that up when Drew arrived, kept himself amused inflating his tires and removing the tail lights while I finished my connections and tested them. The generator works as it should, and the shop transfers properly as well. Didn’t get to the house transfer switch yet.
At any rate, Drew has his new tail lights installed, he learned about solder sleeves and hopefully figured out why his tire was loosing air.
After he left, I went back to the generator project, studied the drawings for the Onan switch and came up with a plan that will be executed today.
It was refreshing to see that the inside of the switch matched the drawings, and all terminal blocks and wires were clearly labeled.
So after my bowl of Special K this morning I will start making up the relay harness that I need to add to make it all work. Once that is all done and installed, I really need to go around and police up the tools and supplies that I have scattered around while jumping from task to task. I’ve made a half hearted effort after completing each phase, but the bench is a disaster, as is most of the other horizontal surfaces in the shop.
It is a recurring situation that never seems to end. But I really need to gather up all the tools and put them where they belong, so I don’t walk around in circles looking for things.
Hopefully the rain holds off long enough to get at least the open areas mowed with the Progressive mower. Then I might put my feet up early, but that usually doesn’t happen.
