Good Morning Guys,
63 this morning going up to 80 or so, along with better air quality supposedly ! Off to hospital at 9 ! Really looking forward to lunch time, as it seems like ever since I have had any solid food ! Feeling kind of weak this morning, so dont know how much will get accomplished after the colonoscopy ! I would like to think I can get some mowing in later today, but maybe not !

At least its not raining !

All have a great and safe day !

73 outside this AM. Heading to upper 80's, A little t-Storm just passed. A few rumbles, but lots of water in a short period. Should be dry for the rest of the day.

Yesterday the ZTR gave up cutting grass. Blades just stopped while I was running. Took it back up to the house, without a multi-meter (moving tools around) cannot diagnose it. Went on line and found the PTO switch part number, then priced it out. Yikes, looked longer on line and found a part through wally world. Only issue is it will ship next week. Here is hoping that is the issue.

Since the mower was down, the wife decided it would be best if I cleaned up our driveway entrance. So we loaded various cutters and lopers into the RTV and played frogger with cars at the entrance. Amazing how people drive these days. The brush and trees actually come into the roadway in some places (no thanks VDOT) and while trying to cut them back, people still drove past me like I wasn't there. We took two full RTV loads to the burn pile.

Hope all have a great day. Hump day! Be safe.

the pattern of smoke is interesting, thankfully the worst seems to be avoiding New England, where I thought it would be heavy.
Seems to flow down center of country, a lot in East Texas, and then over to Southern VA.
Surprised West to East winds would not drive smoke more to East.

rainy day, that one front coming through, looks like another one on the way. Normal summer stuff here.

Good Morning!

64.4F going to mid 80e, t-storms all day.

God some usable lumber off the mill, but most of it was firewood. i did the marginal curvy/wavy sections first, more to get the feel of using the mill again after so long.

I did manage to not lower one of the stops quite enoug (missed by about 1/4”) so that 15-pack of extra blades I ordered with the mill got opened..🤬

Using the mini-excavator to move logs from the pile to the mill was FAR easier than with the tractor and boom and Mrs. on sling duty.

slabwood and offcuts got converted into tirewood on the offcuts rack:

No woodlot trip today due to weather. Admin runarounds and lunch with Mom.

I hope everyone has a happy healthy safe blessed day!

. Seems like most are prioritizing pressure vs flow. The old one I could not fix was only 1000 psi but had larger flow than most. Staying below 15 amp and being at 2 to 3 thousand PSI limits the flow.
I agree completely with that. When you consider that flow is the mass of the water and pressure is the velocity, it’s like comparing swinging a sledge hammer slowly to a tack hammer really fast. The weight is more useful than the speed for most tasks. After about 1500 psi, look for as much flow as the power system will allow. For a 115v motor, that’s about 2 gpm at best.

Drew sorry about garden, wonder why strawberries are not producing. nice pic of Ken's place

Dennis sorry you got switched to email. I never get notices on what mail is coming. Gas prices yoyo during summer here.
.

Most strawberries here produce in late May to early June. Not too many varieties produce after mid June.

Good Morning
69 outside high in the middle 70’s with chance of thunderstorms all day

Yesterday was a very busy day, started with a meeting with the FAA that went pretty well, and accomplished what it needed to.
Was early afternoon when I got home, met a friend for lunch along the way. Worked on getting the finish on the speaker, finished repair on a rear door hinge on the transit connect, removed a power door lock mechanism on one of the sliding doors and repaired and re installed it, mowed the RC runway in time for a friend to come over and fly. His is the farther plane in the picture, they are both the same size, 2.1 meter wingspan.

Today’s plan is to complete the finish on the speaker and get all of the mowing done. It’s going to be wet, but if I wait for it to be dry, it might be knee high. I’ll use the Lazer first, then the 90” 3pt inside the fences giving the open areas time to dry before attacking them with the Progressive.
Off to breakfast with the Professor now.

As far as drones, I have a DJI Phantom 3 that I have had for many years. It works well, I use an iPad for a video monitor, it attaches to the remote controller.
I was playing with a DJI Mini 3 the other day and it is amazing how far it’s come since mine, the display is integrated into the controller and the airframe is tiny. It’s below the weight that trigger all sorts of regulations, which is a huge consideration.

Wish that rain would come a little north, we need it. Just a sprinkle early morning.
Wife having some women over for lunch, so I’ll be elsewhere, haven’t decided where.
Back still hurting when I get up but usually don’t notice it later after Tylenol.
