Mealworm feeder filled with another 20, looks like there was 4 or 5 left from yesterday.
Inspected of Nest Box No.3 and it looks like the 3 that hatched out first might have been covering the unhatched egg. Will have to wait a few days to verify, but it looked like there might be 4 hatchlings in there now.
Sat in The Woman's car up there for a while and just observed. Saw the parents come and go from the nest several times, bringing food.
Did not see them at the mealworm feeder, other than a single male who sat on the roof for a while ... until a red-tailed hawk came swopping over the front yard.
The male bluebird beat wings for the wires and sat there for a bit.
Saw 4 or 5 birds after that that may have been bluebirds up on the wires, but hard to say for certain that they all were, given the distance.
Went out to the road and got the mail and stopped on the way back and checked Nest Box No. 4.
A week or so ago it looked like house sparrows had started to build a nest in it. Today it looked like a male house wren had been tossing sticks in it ... to keep other birds from nesting it.
Went to pull all that out and found that the sticks were at the front ... and that a female had actually built a nest back behind that ... and it had three eggs in it !
So I very carefully tipped the whole thing back and closed it up ...
Got hopper and 1 suet feeder refilled when I got back down to the house, also the 2 tube feeders.
Woman currently making Peanut Butter Chocolate Chunk Tollhouse cookies.
Haircut scheduled after that if She still feels up to it.
