Good Morning!

God has given us another chance to get it right (or at least not screw up too badly).

58.0F, going to mid-80s, sunny all day.

Concert last night was excellent, especially since it is paid for by “Your tax Dollars At Work”. Free tickets are awesome!

we did an experiment last night, left Harry out in the house for a little over an hour and he did well. When we came back he was lounging on his bed. So we left him out when we went to the show, and he knocked a throw pillow on the ground and peed on it… Harry will be staying in the crate while we are gone for anything longer than just a quick run out for a while longer…

Druggies lit off some firecrackers around 1AM. We will definitely be medicating our Senior dog for Independence Day.

Shopping with mom today, lunch after, heading up to woodlot to run generator and sprinklers. probably take the dogs today for a walk while the sprinklers run, so we can leave them home tomorrow and I can do more excavator work before next batch of rain moves in for the weekend.

I hope everyone has a happy healthy safe blessed day!

66 going to 85. A little humid, but that will change today.

Don, garden looks great. We may pick our first tomato by July 4th...we planted late.

BEF, we had a double rainbow, too...another one yesterday after the storm. Yours is brighter...we had a cloud cut ours off.

We cleaned the screened porch extra well yesterday. Getting ready for company this weekend.

My wife told me this morning a new law in Virginia effective July 1...NO dropping stuff into prisons from a drone!

Neck cooler with ice in it really helps with working in heat.
Which one do you have? how long does the ice last?
I am looking at this neck personal AC, with cooling plates at Amazon but find it hard to justify the cost unless it works very well.

"[Air Conditioner On-the-Go] AICE 3 provides the true whole-body cooling experience with 4 ICEMAX engines and 7 air ducts. The strong wind generated by 4 ICEMAX engines is cooled by 39°F after passing through 2 peltiers, and covers the whole body through 7 upward and downward air ducts, making you feel like in an air-conditioned room wherever you go."

I planted tomatoes after the potato harvest and then the triple digit temps came a month early and it is too hot for them to put on fruit. I do have two tomatoes in the back yard that I planted earlier, but the deer keep munching on ends of the plant. I'm keeping an eye open them the two are golf ball size now.

Good morning! a bit cooler today at 75˚F heading only to 100˚. It has been hitting 102˚ with cloudless skies every day this week and heat index of 112˚. Instead of the evening walk in 102 temps we head to the gym and bike/treadmill in the cool A/C, I also need to find my short fins and hit the lap pool.

good morning, 66 going to 79 today and no rain in FC. Had a good rain storm yesterday.

The approach to landing at Dulles is going right over our house this morning heading south.

Have eye Dr appointment today for yearly checkup. Hope the dilation will dissipate quickly

Stacked a couple of loads of firewood yesterday.

Plan to take off the pintle trailer hitch on the tractor and remount the tiller

The cable people left this rock after upgrading the service and it damaged the lawn mower blades. Hope the followup in person at the service center will get the claim back on track.

Morning all;
Had a visitor this morning about 6:30, he seemed to be just passing thru which is fine as I have no desire to have them get to settled and comfortable.

Waiting for my contractor to show, he was a no show yesterday not sure why not.
Stay safe enjoy your day.

Good Morning
68 with a high of 75 expected. Fog has burned off, sun is shining.
Chance of a shower this afternoon, but not like yesterday. We got almost 1-1/2” in a few intense showers.

Yesterday started with breakfast with the professor, a stop at the bank, and then deal with some Sisyphean paperwork for the FAA. I did get the sides of the road cleared at my lane. Used the Makita string trimmer, hedge trimmers and blower along with a good old pair of loppers. Visibility pulling out on to the road is greatly improved.

FedEx brought me a dozen 8’ LED fluorescent replacement tubes for the little airplane hangar. They require removing the ballast and doing a bit of rewiring, so I’ll probably do them a few fixtures at a time. The old tubes were the HO type to work in a cold environment, and give more light, their LED replacements are not as common.

Lost like a Costco run is in the cards for this morning. I hope the membership police do not have the checkouts backed up. They even made it on the local news here. After that, might start on the lights unless something else pops up.

Good Morning!!!! 66F @ 5:00AM. Plentiful sunshine. High 96F. Winds SSW at 5 to 10 mph.
An Excessive Heat Watch starts Friday, lasting through Monday, for highs in the 100s. It cools off down into the mid to upper 90s for the rest of the 10-day. Typical summer weather for around here.
What is a good free video hosting site?
Ever heard of YouTube?🤣 When you publish videos, you can control the audience if the material isn't kid friendly.
I wish there was a way to input max speed into gps, so that it would recalculate time to arrival based on not doing 70 or 75mph speed limit.
FWIW, on my ancient Garmin Zumo, it lets me set a preferred speed for freeways. I set it for 65 MPH, and always end up being late at the end of the day by an hour or so. Partly because of gas stops, partly because an average of 65 MPH is pretty hard to maintain. If you're using Google Maps, some versions have a speed limit feature that will display the speed limit, and color it red if you're going faster than that. It's not clear if the app will adjust arrival time based on the current speed, though.

What do you use? My buddy's dog in Lompoc freaks out on every rocket launch, and fireworks are hard on it, too...

Got an email from RAM tech support with a phone number to call for the phone charging pad problem. Called it, but the tech couldn't help, and promised to escalate the issue. Said to expect a reply in two or three days.

Put together an Amazon order for oil and filters for the van, and was surprised how difficult it is to figure out the right Mopar part numbers. Mopar has a shopping site, and you can filter results by make and model, but the tool ignores the filter. Drilling down my category is no better, and you still end up checking each result to see if it fits your vehicle. Makes me wonder if the folks that write this software even checked their work. I did find a ProMaster forum with some helpful people, but I still have my fingers crossed I ordered the right parts.

Got a neighbor to come down after dinner to give me a hand unloading the bike from the van. I set up a wooden plank next to the motorcycle ramp and felt pretty much in control of the bike, but it was impossible to see where the wheels were going, so it was definitely a two person job. A wider ramp would help, as would adding sides to the ramp to keep the wheels on it. Still need a winch to get the bike up the ramp, and I think that would help coming down, too. Or maybe just use a trailer, but that's no good if I have to drop the van off for service. Or the bumper hitch carrier, which will be a little lower on the ProMaster than the Ford, so that's a little bit of help.

Happy Hump Day!!!

Morning all, 65 going up to 80 and might not rain today.
Got nothing done yesterday.

Pool is up over skimmers, so need to empty a bit and clean up.

Son got a shift last night, was pretty dead but some of his friends showed up.

I love the LED tube replacements and as each fixture loses light I replace them.

Be well,
