Good morning!!!!

Good (Sunday) morning. Overnight Low of 6.3C and it's presently 9.4C, partly overcast and calm.

Well, last evening was unexpected... my computer's virus protection/firewall subscription didn't transfer properly. I was finally able to contact, via mobile phone, an actual 'real live' computer assistant (AND she was English, although working in Spain). Short story is that she was able to locate my subscription and re-activate it. A technician then 'cleaned up' my desktop computer and all is well.

Mind you, I didn't get to bed until around 2300.

Anyway, I'm off to Church in 45min and then the rest of the day is His.

That's about it, take care all.

Breakfast with the crew on the mountain. New young girl waiting on us, her first breakfast table. We took good care of her, tipped well, and told the boss she did a great job.
Drive by church building and once again had to reboot HDMI equipment to get it to work. I have 2 different HDMI switches on order, hope to find one that works ok.
Nap this afternoon.
We got .25” rain overnight, think I might have the leak fixed, at least know the location. Just a little damp on porch, but that might have been from yesterday.
Sunny and breezy now.
Just grilled steaks for supper.
Starlink mesh unit acting up again.
Cats all fed, including snagglepuss who is rolling around on porch in front of me

A successful day! Got the gravel dug out, planter assembled and put in place, and filled halfway with dirt.

Then it got soaked with water to sink down to the bottom. Probably fill it again tonight. The sandy loam out here takes a long time to absorb when it's dry.

Tomorrow will be planting day. Then, I'll get the drip irrigation run out to it. We have plenty of mulch.....

RS, that's one big garden! I like the idea how you are going to put the holes in the landscape fabric! Sounds like a great plan!

Drew, glad the RV service worked out well..... you know that's cheating though.....

Time to go get a shower and watch some PBS. The knee is again complaining.... I have to get a pillow.....

Everyone have a great evening!

I was hoping to get the last big concrete pour at the house done this coming week doesn't look good for it now.

friend sent me this, very interesting, Ford's Blue Cruise rated above GM's super cruise for assisted driving.
before I drive all the way to California, I want one of them.

was such a nice afternoon I snuck out and mowed the lawn, then pushed the trimmer for exercise.
got plenty done today with no negatives. I'll take it.

we were surprised 6.8 liter V10 only took six quarts of oil. I had expected one or two more.
I ordered a new oil drain plug, Ford oem with what looks like an integral rubber o-ring, for next time.

now what kind of trouble can I get into...sadly not much.

65F and clear @ 22:30, heading down to 61F in the overnight.

Got got weeds cut down and 4 possible strawberry plants dug up and placed them into the dump cart. Need to pot them tomorrow first thing.

Then started the rest of the tilling.

Midway through that Woman called me on the phone and said She had a couple of BLT's for me and to come and get 'em. Told her She wouldn't have to call me a second time ...

Then it got even better: found out She picked up 2 six packs of Mike's Hard Lime (a favorite) ... which is now apparently a seasonal thing.

After late lunch/early dinner I headed back out and finished up the tilling.

Then after picking a few rocks out, I took Kubota up and took off tiller and put box blade and bucket back on.

Then rounded up the weed block fabric and hot knife and took those around back.

Woman came out while I was doing that and started weeding the asparagus.

Fired up the hot knife and got a couple of lengths cut and laid out, knife seemed to work as expected:

Threw four 2 x 6's and a couple of 2 x 4's on them until I can get it all pinned down (tomorrow)

Swamp milkweed plant back in the flower bed doing extremely well this year. Now 60' tall and starting to bloom:

Have another up by the shop that isn't doing nearly as well (soil not as good, less moisture)

Have not seen any Monarch caterpillars on either one yet.

Hope everyone had a good Saturday ... (y)
