officially morning for me - Good Morning, coffee at my side

I think I can now see a light green tinge out in the fields.
that's awesome, but IF taken completely out of context, this statement is ominously concerning :) ... THAT, or it's a JD tractor
and thanks for the reminder that Kirkland Muscle and Back pills are on my list for the next Costco run

Toppop52, Buppies - prayers continue for those circumstances

daugen - I'm learning as I go, tie downs are my necessary nemesis, ..I can do it, but I use them so seldomly that I really need to think it through. ... basically I'm the Mr. Bean of tie downs

rswyan - great photos, i love seeing photos ... i need to figure out how to retrieve photos from my flip phone still

Roy J - have a great day

off to town for me, back in a few hours, stay safe all, enjoy your Monday

had to come in and rest. Drilling metal on trailer kicking my butt. Almost going through a Makita battery a hole.
Got one done, looked fine. Started second one, first hole missed a little, cruised into back end of side light fixture. Oops. No damage.
And bolt made it through. Second one has stumped me. Drill started smelling up pretty well, hot gears, hot oil, but no burning wires yet.
Exhaust from drill so hot I had to put a paper towel on end. So I figured time to cool it. Literally. Rather do it right, getting into metal top and bottom,
should make this extra strong.

Brought drill inside and put it in refrigerator. Will go back out and try to do last hole. That will be two out of four tiedowns. I'll finish the other two another day, maybe after getting some
new drill bits. What a screechy howl I was making, surprised the dog across the street didn't start barking.

I would think it would make sense to prioritize straps keeping the golf cart from going forward, vs going in reverse. Sure not going to accelerate that fast.
But if I have to slam on the brakes, always wonder how much those straps will give or slide. Probably good to take it out, hit the brakes a couple times, then check the straps again.
Until they make a cart or mower that just magnetizes into the bottom. Boy would that be nice. With battery backup.

You want to have the right number and kind of straps because sometimes you get a bored Cop who will write you up.
Also it is nice to know if things go wrong nobody will be hurt because of you.
finally it is nice to be confident your load will make your destination.
If you are not sure a local weld shop can fix you up.

thanks Chris. Got the front two done, definitely getting some sharp bits before I put on rear two.

ok, who can identify this oldie I saw today?
Early 50's Plymouth?
check out the rear muffler

Got rattle inhibitor screwed on, looks like it will work

gave the broccoli the proverbial axe, of course necessitating a trip with the cart. My new landscaping railings around the trailer area have me squeezed in pretty good, tight
clearances now

I cannot tell a lie. I screwed up on one hole. Been thinking through a fix. Hole goes all the way down through both metal layers, galvanized 3 inch bolt goes all the way down to the bottom, and steady on top with its encapsulated head, but I can't get the nut on. Not enough clearance since I got too close to back of light housing. So now I have the equivalent of a hitch pin sitting down through a double drawbar, of sorts, and since there's a little access window there, I was thinking of pumping some construction adhesive in there. Immobilize the loose bolt, which gravity will hold in anyway. As long as it doesn't move, bolt is snug in the hole. And the bottom line is I'm not going to redrill it today. Trailer gave as good as it got. It's a bit hillbilly but with todays super strong adhesives, I could probably get a very strong bond between the inch and a half of wood and the bolt. Just let it sit for a couple days, which I have plenty of time for.
Locktite Red looks like blood when you spill it.
An ASME mechanic I am surely not.

btw, I saw the driver of that old car. Around 50, biker clothes, big chain, big bushy beard, looked around like he wasn't from here and getting his bearings, then strode off.
looked like he was trying to park away from others in a busy lot.

Front lawn after I finished mowing yesterday:

Hoping for a speedy recovery for Buppies' Woman and a good report from toppop.

Rest of you all have a great Monday.
That's a big beautiful lawn. Other than mow it do you do anything with it? Host large lawn parties? Play frisbee?

Grind one side of the nut almost to the hole if you have to.

Drew, any chance of removing (or just loosening) light enough to get nut on?

Or maybe time for a GM friend to weld in in place
