Good morning!!!!

74F and clear @ 22:00, heading down to a low of 71F in the overnight. High hit 91.6F here today according to the nearest LWS. They reported no rainfall which I guess shows just how localized it was because we had enough here that it puddled up for a bit.

Pretty laid back day.

No watering necessary today.

Started off with placing small Menards order.

Then emailing about plants.

After that I cleaned up the mess a critter made in the asparagus which are still potted out back. Suspect it was a deer who was attempting to browse the tops and pulled a couple of plants out.

After that got showered and cleaned up then caught a little bit of what was on tv.

Followed by haircut ... (y) (finally)

Then we made the run up to Menards in Kent to pick up order. Headphones/hearing protectors seem reasonably decent for $20 ... sound quality is fair (they're not Sony, Koss, or AT's) and they have plenty of volume and reasonable sound attenuation.

Also got 4 plants for The Woman's planters and two bags of "moisture control" potting soil, which will probably be enough to last until next year's planting season.

With the thunderstorms having cooled things off followed by the front moving through, it made for a nice evening drive down through the countryside to North Canton to Eadies for dinner.

On the way back home we swung through Canal Fulton so The Woman could get an ice cream treat at the DQ while I filled the car up. Noticed gas was 20 or 30 cents per gallon under what it was a couple of days ago. Diesel hadn't budged though ... :(

Need to go move the potting soil and plants into the garage.

Good early arvo. Overnight low was 3.8C, it's currently 13C and the "Liars" are predicting a high of 15C. It's calm and sunny.

Brimmed hat-wise, I wear an 'Akubra'.

Take care all.

Randy, hope you get to go home tomorrow.

101˚ today, it's baaaaack. Actually the heat wave never left and now the Sahara sands are making the skies a dull white color with a tinge of yellowish gray. Drew do you think it is a viable 2 prong conspiracy to stop climate change, first change all the vehicles to electric and second to change all people to vegan?
Gasoline went up here another 6¢, paid the highest ever at $4.659 - 87 octane regular gasoline. RS I guess the gas stations around here did not get the memo.

Randy(wag) just another day in Tasmania :)
Yep. I enjoyed a lovely Pinot Noir last night and I'm presently savouring a smooth Cabernet Merlot. I 'belong' to a wine 'club' and enjoy wonderful, selected, plonk from all over the Australian wine districts. Tassie has a great reputation for Pinot Noir.

I do employ a "Vinturi" with each glass. 🍷

Cheers!
