Morning all, Already almost 70 going into the 80's and sunny.

Need to mow lawn and get some branches trimmed.
Still need to powerwash the lower cement deck, drop some big ash, sand and refinish the pool bar.
At least I know how to keep busy.

Yesterday a red tail came through and all the "parent" birds kept dive bombing it until it left. Was quite the little war, got some video, but mostly just watched. Brave little birds.

Turtle is back and trying to dig and lay eggs on end of driveway, head facing grass, back legs at edge of tarmac, not the brightest turtle.

Stay safe and be well,

Red tail running away, had enough of being dive bombed by dozens of smaller birds.

74F and not a cloud in the sky. It is getting a little dry here. My wife is watering daily.

Cherries in Texas are up in price this year at $6.99 lb. Are they that high where you are?

I checked the price of California cherries at the farm stand. $7.99. I suspect that is higher than the grocery store but the farmers wife checks all the fruit so we never get bad fruit.

Wonder how much time left on 725 hour engine.

When I had the JD F525 the dealer said I should get 1500 hours from the single cylinder air cooled kawasaki. Do the commercial engines get more?

Have a good weekend.

Chris

Good morning to all! Low of 50°, going up to a high of 86°, sunny. No more chances of rain until next Thursday. Going to get hotter the first part of the week, up into the low 90's.

Don, good to hear that you're not having any too much lingering effects with the knee. I pretty much avoid any kneeling at all costs... just not gonna happen. I can't really even squat at this point.

Drew, sorry to hear that the lift doesn't help you out. I guess there isn't an easy alternative answer....

Current temp is only 63°, so going to get a jump on the project before the heat gets turned up.....

Everyone have a great day!

I've used ramps which are ok for cleaning the deck...but too low for changing the blades.
No matter what you use, make sure those wheels are chocked!!

three ton chocks on both side Roy
I have all the equipment I need, just a faulty neck which means I can't lay down on my side and work under a deck any more.
Maybe after I get an epidural on my neck I could try it. Not sure that would be overly smart either.

foot is really bothering me, inch wide lump on inner side of right heel.

Watered everything outside, came in to cool off, soon to start baking chocolate muffins for church tomorrow.
Had some New England Gumbo soup and while yummy it didn't help me cool off.
Probably should have had some cold gazpacho instead.
Soup is from Warren RI and distributed out of Massachusetts I believe.

The 25hp twin Kohler went to 2800 hours on my Lazer. I put a new one on it, because it was burning oil. Still made good power, but used over a pint per mowing and smoked.

Good morning.
It’s a beautiful day here

Yesterday got the mail box finished and ready to sandblast. Yes it has a hinged door, a stainless piano hinge.

I’m over at my buddy’s now getting it sandblasted.
I might forego the powdercoating and prime and paint it, now that I see how tenaciously the old primer and paint has held on. The rust color is on top of white paint. I can scrape it back to white actually.
Hopefully I’ll get the post set in the ground this afternoon.
