Morning all 45 and light rain.
Got some hung up trees down with the pole saw and more brush removal.
Getting there but still swampy back in the woods.

Alien - sorry to hear more flooding-hope you get some dry time soon

Still waiting to hear back on my stress test.

We will see if it dries out enough to get some more brush work done. Deer still here daily, family of four. Dog and them stare each other down for a bit, then both wander off :)

Stay safe and be well,

Some of these tortoises would test our FEL lifting capacity.

Sea lions love the bright colors and came by to play with us on most snorkeling days

The Galapagos iguana swims and eats in the ocean.
Don't get too close when they come back in as they get rid of salt by sneezing it out.....

Good morning! 41˚F heading to the mid 70s, partly cloudy, South wind from the Gulf.

Pilates went well, the instructor had some extra padding for my knee so I was able to do the stretch where you are on one knee and one hand.
I'm not sore today but usually I have a delay of 2-3 days. As I get older the soreness delay gets longer.

LS hope the test shed some light on the swelling.

No freeze still for the next 10 days so I'll hook up the garden's irrigation system. The potatoes are still not up, the ground temp might get warm enough this week. The weeds sure came up and I used my favorite stirrup loop hoe to take out all the weed sprouts above the planted potatoes.

38°F and clear skies this morning, going up to 58° today.

Neglected to mention yesterday that I filled the tank in my car in Troy IL on the way to work. $4.099/gal. 🤬 After I whined about this on Facebook, a few friends in Cali were quick to point out that they are paying right at or above $6/gal in the LA area.

Good morning! 25 now and sunny. Supposed to get to 42 today. Lots of wind during the night.

Taking a retirement practice day. Tomorrow also. Walked out of a meeting yesterday, 2 hours of blah, blah, blah, blah and not once did we cover anything related to the purpose of the meeting….me teaching the warranty administrator how to do warrants reporting. Instead it was complain about the name of files, complain about location of files, etc. Last straw was the department manager saying he thought on of the spreadsheets “looked stupid”. Never mind it has been around since for 20+ years, has been used by 4 different people to report warranty, and is never seen by anyone but the person doing the reporting. That was enough.

Got an appointment for a haircut, not sure what else I will get into.

Everyone stay safe out there

Good Morning!!!! 53F @ 5:15AM. Showers early, then cloudy in the afternoon. High 66F. Winds W at 5 to 10 mph. Chance of rain 40%.
Radar shows light rain on the coastal mountains, but not much making it across the Central Valley. And now forecasters are saying that the three tenths of an inch won't get here until Friday afternoon. And yes, Ted, they're also telling us that we'll lose ten to fifteen degrees on our high temperature for Sunday, then slowly get back to low seventies by mid week.

Got news yesterday that my protest of the Camp Fire Determination Notice resulted in a nearly four fold increase in the settlement amount, but it's still insufficient to recover all the fire damage on the property. I've got another thirty days to lodge another protest, so I'm looking into firms that can inventory and document the damages, not just make back-of-the-envelope estimates.

Recycled fifteen gallons of motor oil yesterday, but it took visits to three separate auto parts stores, as none would accept more than five gallons at a time. That makes it very hard to do the right thing when it comes to hazardous waste disposal, and I bet there a lot of folks just dumping it in a handy hole in the back forty somewhere.

Gas and Diesel were up again in town yesterday, Paul, but not quite as bad as LA prices. I guess it can always be worse. The pump shut itself off at $125.00 as I was dribbling the last bit in to fill it up into the neck of the tank. It used to do that at $100.00, so maybe that was my silver lining for the day?

Hang in there, gang, Friday's comin'!

3.55 yesterday for me. Diesel 4.09.

With a war going on, it is a small price to pay.

Crude Oil hit 116 this AM.

just read, among other things, US just trucked in 200 stinger missiles to the Ukraine.
40 miles of parked Russian tanks and trucks on the main highway coming in. 40 miles is a lot of equipment...lot of targets.
I think Putin thought he would blitz these folks and due to funnel and choke points for transportation, sure hasn't worked out that way.

I pray for the Ukrainian people and I pray for the poor Russian soldiers sent into an unjust war by a corrupt tyrant.
As in almost all wars, everyone loses. Just a matter of degree.

I wonder if there are squadrons of Warthog pilots who would love a chance at that 40 mile column...

Thank goodness we are friends with Canada and Mexico.

Good morning to all! Low was only 32°, going up to the upper 60's again before the big chill.

Wow, those Cali gas prices are crazy! I was able to fill the truck up at Costco for the same $3.11 / gal. The gas station a couple blocks away was at $3.59, and that station is always one of the cheaper ones. I did see $3.65 at one closer to downtown.

RNG, try to push that little bit of moisture a little further east.... they are reporting our mountain snowpack is only 70% of what it should be and are already changing the drought monitors towards the severe level again.

Alien, HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Mrs Alien! Try to stay dry, hope that flooding doesn't get bad. More puppy pics? One is not enough!

Rich, sounds like retirement practice is becoming more of an essential occurrence..... I have walked out of many a meeting that that was derailed from the agenda.... let them know why I was leaving too! That usually resulted in the next meeting at least staying on topic (briefly anyway)....

Need to get myself in gear and get ready to go see the ortho doc this morning. It is really a fast-paced cattle shoot production line..... I think that I will be delaying his schedule this morning..... I need answers!

Everyone have a great day!
