good morning all
much cooler 41 going up to mid sixties today in bright sun, should be a very nice day.
Buppies, wish you were feeling better, maybe some honey cough drops? Did you get a flu shot this Fall?
getting my truck back from shop today, curious what they found. Then tomorrow I get new tires put on, and then
patiently awaiting full detail next month to get rid of old dog smell inside.
I continue to be frustrated by the lack of automatic hvac in this truck. If it only had the old fashioned knob you could turn from hot to cold.
No, it's all electronic and you have to hold a touch screen button down for almost five seconds to get pointer to move and change the heat setting.
What a terrible idea. They made something oh so simple be really complicated. I'm wondering if I can swap out the head unit, the only difference in the
controls is an auto button like I'm used to. But it sure is nice to have a pickup bed to throw gardening supplies into. Next year when i hope supply and demand
goes back to normal, whatever that is anymore, I might find a smaller truck that will fit in my garage. I also just might get an EV for around town use and let the truck
sit outside. I believe this truck has never towed a trailer and has never had anything put in the pickup bed. He just drove around with his dog in the very salty winter.
came over the New Hope-Lambertville "steel" bridge a few days back, met an F350 dually with huge trailer mirrors fully extended. I had already pushed the button (now that's a nice
feature) that retracts my mirrors, but I had to come to a full stop in the middle of the bridge. His mirrors are clearly over on my side of the road and not much he could do about it.
Banging mirrors on that bridge is an old old problem due its width, and the width of new pickups. I think it has a 5 ton limit. If any of you motorcycle riders came over that bridge,
I'm told the squirming from the non linear steel mesh bottom (not paved or concrete, just open metal mesh) is quite a ride. Plus it makes a noise totally unlike other modern bridges.
Since the new "pay" bridge is closer to me and free going over to NJ, I find that trip less worrisome than going through center of little town and then onto that very narrow steel bridge.
It's been there since 1955 when part washed away in the Big Flood.

Maybe today I'll remember to stop in drugstore and get a flu shot. I just keep forgetting though seeing primary doc in two weeks and I know I'll get a jab there if
I keep forgetting.
