24F at sunrise here. High near 40F today but mostly cloudy is the forecast.

I need to make a cover plate today for recessed can ceiling light that will be covered by a floor to ceiling cabinet. The cabinet is going to hide the refrigerant and drain lines for a mini-split unit.

My thought is to remove the light bulb, screw in one of those bulb socket outlet things in its place so the socket isn't empty. Cut a round piece of light sheet metal that will fill the center hole in, and be held in place by the beauty ring. I will also remove and wire nut the hot wire to the light at the switch. The switch controls that one light only. Safe enough?

42* and overcast/misty out. Predicted high is 60*. Then another cold front comes through tonight, and back down we go into the 50s for highs.

Not sure what to do today. Our office systems are shut down for maintenance, so that's out of the question. Not a lot to do outside with the wet. Hmmm.

Good Morning. 0435, partly cloudy, 46F with 47% humidity. Forecast high of 71F with 10% chance of rain today, and a low of 59F tonight.

I'm just getting in from work. I don't have these super late nights too often, but tonight was one of them. Also something I rarely have, is a drunk bridegroom who refuses to pay the rest of his bill. Luckily he had paid me my cleanup in cash earlier in the evening. The funny thing is, him and his drunk friend had been debating the finer points of religion while his new wife and I got all their stuff cleaned up and stowed in their vehicles. Kind of ironic.

Once again I lived through a come from behind win by the Noles. I know they are taking years off my life every week when they put me through this. There is no doubt that next week Boston College will have the game of their life against us.

I'm going to bed and hope to sleep for a few hours anyway. Then will watch the last Cup race of the year.

37 this morning and headed to 40 today. National weather service put us in a winter weather advisory. From 7pm tonight to 11am tomorrow. Think the forecast is for 2-4 inches of snow as the rain will change over. Said it depends on how fast it changes from sleet to snow.

Time to fix a couple of heaters in the chicken coups. It's still 80 in there. So we are burning propane like crazy.

Chores that I should have done on Saturday (grease the tractor, clean the zero-turn and rig the plow to the Gator) were done today.
I did receive the rosewood grips for my Vaquero yesterday. They were put on the gun...sure look pretty!

BTW, for you guys who like guns.,..check out Hickok45's YouTube videos. Just a nice friendly guy talking and shooting guns we all (most of us, at least) enjoy.

Well, they SAID high in the mid 60s' today, with some sun. Wrong and wronger. High temp we've seen all day was 53. Clouds never cleared. Temps are dropping as a cold front comes through, with fog and mist. Damp, and cold. At least I got the rye seed down before the mist started, so that should be good to get some germination.

In the world of weather I blew it negative AO didn't hold so milder temperatures on the way after this cold snap next week. Sense I like snow let my wants get in the way. Will try to do better in future.

I haven't drank in 10-12 years, so it is hard for me to tolerate drunks myself. We don't have problems very often, and hardly ever after a wedding.It is not worth taking anyone to small claims court. The bill was only $175.00. But he left his laptop {after I had reminded him to take it} so my boss could hold it hostage if she wanted too. Anyway, I think his wife would sneak around and pay it if he still refuses to after he sobers up. They were really nice people all weekend long, so it was a surprise when he wouldn't pay. This hardly ever happens.

I was able to sleep 5 1/2 hours, plus did a little napping during the pre-race show after lunch. I'm letting a little more of the race record before I start watching. I hate catching up to live TV and having to watch all those ads.

Interesting. How hot do the coops need to be? My chickens seem to be ok, even down to sub zero temps?

I am in the commercial poultry business. The birds are only 2 weeks old. They start out at 95 and drop to 65 by the time they leave.

Learn something new everyday. Nice rain now too many leaves to finish but mostly piled on driveway so can load them up after rain.
Look for winter to come on strong in January and Feburary for those of us in the east with lots of precipitation and cold temperatures too boot. Just my opinion now think December will not be too bad.

Wife mowed yard after leaf marathon looks really good. Thanks Holly you're really something
