33 right now...first night above freezing in quite a while. High in the upper 30's today. Got maybe an inch of snow yesterday into the evening. I'll hit the walks before I go to work so they'll dry out...maybe do the drive this afternoon.

Update 0710:
Bit more snow on the walks and drive, so I hit both with the snow blowers. Supposed to hit mid-upper 30's so the walks should be pretty dry and driveway should be getting there too

I知 sitting in living room maybe 20ft straightline from one AP mast mounted, but I can稚 get the signal through the metal roof. A second AP is mast mounted 90ー to my right maybe 40ft. I can see base of mast through window but apparently it won稚 pass through the roof either.

Radio waves won't pass through metal, and they are heavily attenuated by masonry and drywall, too. Stucco is bad as well, as it has a chicken wire mesh inside that won't let the waves pass, and that's what I've been dealing with here. The good news is you can just add more APs inside, but that means running more Ethernet cable.

I lit a burn pile about 75' east of the house yesterday, and by dusk it had burned down to a very nice, and large, bed of coals. By then it was getting down right chilly outside, but the coals made for some toasty company while sipping my way through a couple of beers. The wifi was great there, thanks to the AP mounted on a mast above the pump house, which you can just make out above the man door on the white trailer in the above photo. The same mast sports a yagi antenna for the cell phone. Even though the signal is quite strong outside, the iphone doesn't see it at all from inside the house.

good morning all
much warmer morning, 33 out now, going up to 45 today and 53 tomorrow. Going to be a lot of snow melt.

Drew not to mention getting the full tank back in the car
Mostly, that's an issue at TSC but not my local gas station, the kid there will pick up the tank for me and put it back in the car
and I slip 5 bucks in his pocket, we both go home with smiles. Not going to get that help at TSC though...but the propane is a third cheaper so you
get what you pay for. The tank weighs dry about three times what a 20 pounder weighs, industrial construction with a 3/4 inch axle on the rolling wheels.
40 pounder holds 9.4 gallons of fuel, guessing this tank full will be about 80 pounds. That's a bit much for me...need a helper.
What I need, again, is a small ramp trailer I can roll the tank in and out of.

That's probably my only errand today, getting that tank filled, might be some rain later.

Poured first cup of coffee. 32° with light snow this morning. Heading to 40° with a chance that sun will peak out in afternoon. After tire repair. Did not get anything else done. No plans for today. Need to get back at my taxes.
This little guy likes to pose anytime I get camera out.

RNG, Low E glass seems to affect signal also.

David, can Craftsman be repaired?

Mostly, hope you get fridge part soon.

LS, hope you get your sleep under control. Sounds like you are getting a lot done while you do sleep.

Everyone stay healthy and safe.

Good Morning All.

I used to get my argon/CO2 bottle filled at the local AirGas outlet. This last time, though, when I asked for help loading the refill into the back of the truck, the young man somewhat proudly announced that if he got caught lifting a bottle, he'd be fired. I told him not to look for me as a customer anymore.

Hope you can figure out a way to safely handle that propane bottle, Drew. There's a 75 pounder on the hot water pressure washer that is just about all I can handle, and that's using the forks on the tractor to do all the lifting.

Good morning! 33 now, supposed to get to 43 or so later. Fair amount of melt started yesterday.

Kyle - headed to GA and FL next week to see some live flat track racing.

Better get moving,

Everyone stay safe out there.

30 outside this AM. Heading to mid 50's today. Look as like a great day to do some vehicle checks.

I priced out materials for a 12x30 run in. Need to show the wife. Even with crazy lumber prices I am still well below 5 grand. And I will have wood left over for kindling. LOL. Not a fan of building.....but it will save a lot of money.

Last night's pizza was great. Garlic sauce with the basics. Fresh mushrooms, spinach and feta topped it off.

Hope all have a great day. Be safe and stay healthy my friends.20210222_183357.jpeg

Quick fix...fit crack back where it belong, holes ready there just need piece 3/16" or 1/4" flat stock wider than drill holes same height fame, back side thick washers and tighten nut real good...had Craftman did the same as yours.
