No worries Kyle. I've learned my lesson about trusting people, and should have done the van work myself. Even if I had to do some of it over again in the learning process, it would have been done correctly and in less time.
The last power outage ended at 12:27 PM yesterday, as logged by the solar power control computer. Didn't run the generator except for the normal Friday exercise period, all done automatically. I do find myself scheduling activities that need a lot of electrical power for the peak sun hours of the day; it's a use it or lose it situation with solar once the battery bank is fully charged. Doesn't always work out, especially when it's hot and I need to run the A/C overnight. When I was off the grid during the fires earlier this year, I did use the generator to keep the battery bank charged, but only put four hours on the generator during that time. During a two day outage last year about this time, the little Honda generator ran 25 hours keeping the 'fridge cold and running the TV and lights at night. Now the battery bank takes care of those loads easily, and no messing around with gasoline and patch cords. So far the solar power system is the best purchase I've made in 2020!
Good to hear your system is doing well, hope the techs can tweak it to the rest of your expectations.
Good morning. It's 53° with a 12 mph north wind here and our high will be only about 69°.
When the front came thru, late yesterday afternoon, the temperature dropped from 83° to 61° in about 20 minutes. Winds were gusting to about 30 mph.
We finalized our deal, to replace our sold Polaris XP700, yesterday and brought home our new PR XP 1000 Crew "Texas Edition".

The difference between it and our 13 year old PR is amazing. It's way more powerful, much quieter, with great seats. I took it out, after dark, last evening and the LED headlights are really bright.
I went online and ordered a set of rear view mirrors for it.
I was going to put our 15 gallon 12 volt sprayer in the bed and finish spraying perimeter fence lines but .. that will wait until the wind goes down.
Bought a cargo bed mat for it, to keep things from sliding around so .. will need to take it down to the shop, remove the cargo tie downs in the corners of the bed, put in bed mat, then install cargo tie downs thru the mat. I rarely used the cargo tie downs in our previous Ranger .. so I might not even re-install them for now. That would make cleaning out BP the bed much easier if the mat could be quickly removed?
Hope everyone has a great start to your weekend.
Prayers to all.
That thing looks great, I hope it serves you well. I'd be interested to hear how well the suspension works. No dump bed?
It did cool down quick. I took a my daughter and a friend to the football game last night....sitting on aluminum bleachers with a stiff cold breeze...had us all chilled to the bone. Out of the wind, it felt great.
It'll only make right turns...…..can't go left.
Now that, was funny....thanks for the guffaw laugh.
You're in luck, Kyle: Messick's carries Steiner parts!
Yes, I see that! Some of the prices are scary...
