Good morning!!!!

62 heading to mid 70's today. Hey, no fog this AM! When the grass dries out...yup. More grass cutting. Is nice lush and green. Very odd I told my wife. Looks amazing for this time of year.

Need to move dirt with the wife's tractor too. The water lines we dug for the pastures need some leveling...sigh. I hope to work on the porch ceiling today too. Last night a daughter came in from Richmond, so today the whole family will try and make it down to our favorite sushi place. It's been a few years since we all could do that. It will be ...amazing!

Randy, arm sounds like it is under control? Ouch...did the blood thinners have that bleed through...or was it just bad damage?

David, last night on HGTV (admit I watch that show...lol) they stood a shipping container vertically and attached it to a metal run in shed. I thought to myself, you of course, but heck, I should try that. But then they broke out the welding equipment....I only work with an angle grinder and am good at cutting stuff up. Not putting stuff together. LOL.

wngsprd, my skunk...looks to have gotten taken out by a car on the front road. I just have one pesky ground hog that has returned again under one building. I have trapped three under that building. I doubt it is the same one returning, I need to mark it, so it must be some genetic code they share.

Hope all have a great day...yes porch ceiling pics are in order. Very happy with the way it has turned out.
Be safe. Enjoy the weekend.

My grass just isn’t growing now, it’s been ten days and didn’t really need it then after 15 days. A few wild onions and garlic that’ll be around all winter and a few patches in the back where I filled low spots and reseeded with some generic blend, are all that’s growing. Still mostly green but getting brown spots now.

Yep, I think I'm seeing more wild onion than I've ever seen. The Bermuda grass has stopped growing, but the others are still green and growing pretty fast.

Even though I didn't catch the skunk out this morning, once it got light, I could find new digs, so I know it was there. I watch HGTV channel with my wife, too. Good rehab/construction and landscaping projects.

Good morning! 45 now and windy, supposed to struggle to 63 or so.

Made breakfast this morning. Basic frittata was on the menu.

Going to split a trailer full of wood. Hooked the splitter to the tram tour last Sunday and found a hose leaking at the crimp. Put 2 new hoses on this week, so try it again.

Everyone stay safe out there

Good morning. It's 53° with a 12 mph north wind here and our high will be only about 69°.

When the front came thru, late yesterday afternoon, the temperature dropped from 83° to 61° in about 20 minutes. Winds were gusting to about 30 mph.

We finalized our deal, to replace our sold Polaris XP700, yesterday and brought home our new PR XP 1000 Crew "Texas Edition".

The difference between it and our 13 year old PR is amazing. It's way more powerful, much quieter, with great seats. I took it out, after dark, last evening and the LED headlights are really bright.

I went online and ordered a set of rear view mirrors for it.

I was going to put our 15 gallon 12 volt sprayer in the bed and finish spraying perimeter fence lines but .. that will wait until the wind goes down.

Bought a cargo bed mat for it, to keep things from sliding around so .. will need to take it down to the shop, remove the cargo tie downs in the corners of the bed, put in bed mat, then install cargo tie downs thru the mat. I rarely used the cargo tie downs in our previous Ranger .. so I might not even re-install them for now. That would make cleaning out BP the bed much easier if the mat could be quickly removed?

Hope everyone has a great start to your weekend.

Prayers to all.

Rick, besides the logo on the seats what makes it a Texas edition?

Good morning to all! Late start today... got caught up in reading other threads...

The low was a cold 27 Degrees, a preview of what is coming by Monday morning. High today should be around 68. Now the forecast is calling for up to 4" of snow Sunday night, snow showers Monday, then another 4-8" Monday night. Some are forecasting more snow Tuesday night, others taking that possibility out of the forecast. Highs for next week will only be in the mid 30's. We really need the precip, so it doesn't matter much....

Yesterday was a bust for my projects..... spent the whole day prepping and installing a pellet stove for the neighbor. I didn't even take any pictures of the tractor mirrors! I'll get a little of my stuff worked on today, but go back to the neighbor's and get the stove fired up and running this afternoon, we had to wait until the stovepipe sealant cured. He was kinda in a rush to get it done before all this cold and snow moves in..... I hope he didn't jinx it!

Ron, beautiful view from the window. How much seed do you use a week in all those feeders? I only have one feeder out, but have been wanting to add a couple more.

Drew, hope your trip goes very good and you are able to retrieve all your things.

David, do the shipping containers get hot like they do over here on the mainland? Or are they just kept open enough to allow ventilation? Do you put any insulation in the inside? Curious minds want to know....

Rick, nice ride!.... not a tractor, but still very nice! What is the top speed?

Roy, have fun today playing.... eh, familiarizing yourself with your new toy.... eh, tractor, yeah that's it.....

I' m going to get started.... need to weld that diamond plate and get it all painted before the weather moves in. I need a big shop / maintenance barn so I can do everything inside....

Everyone have a great day!

Rip, it’s both, big tear and Eliquis/aspirin.

Yep, I think I'm seeing more wild onion than I've ever seen. The Bermuda grass has stopped growing, but the others are still green and growing pretty fast.

I’m seriously thinking of harvesting some of each, they’re stronger than cultivated varieties and are great in soups and chili.

Since PG&E doesn't seem capable of maintaining their transmission infrastructure so that it will operate in a safe manner, they have to shut it off whenever the wind blows and the humidity drops. This is a direct result of deferring maintenance and upgrades for years beyond when they should have been done. But don't get me started...:irked:

I meant no disrespect when I mentioned paying somebody for my upcoming project. You were a victim of someone who talked big and delivered little. Sorry.

How is your system holding up? Does the generator have to kick in much?

Got down to 57 headed to 76 if this fog clears. I’m in Easton this morning, about an hour from home, Ellen has an appointment to excise a mole behind her ear that’s basil cell carcinoma. Not sure how long that will take. The doggie and I are waiting outside.

I use a combination of Gunk and kerosene in my parts washer, I clean the filter regularly, I only clean the sludge out of the bottom about every six months, but I don’t use it too much anymore.
My arm is still bleeding, I’ve got a call in to the doctor to see what I can do. Good old Eliquis is good at its job, preventing clotting.

Roy you will love the hydro after a couple of uses, especially for loader work.

Took Ellen for removal of basil cell carcinoma yesterday, that was successful on the first attempt so it kept the area small. She’s a bit sore though. Her dad went for tests yesterday and they kept him for monitoring, heart, lungs and kidneys.

I went back to the doctor and got my arm cauterized, that was a bit uncomfortable, but at least I’m not bleeding through bandages every 2-3 hours. The area is roughly 1.5”x 3” and it’s a three cornered flap. Probably needed stitches that night but you know how it is.

Very foggy the last three mornings.
61-77 today, then 57 and rain tomorrow. I have to replace some flood lamps outside, I think my son in law is going to do the ladder climbing, I just don’t trust myself for that anymore.
More great pictures and Info as usual.
Have a great day that’s blessed by the one.

Prayers for Ellen's and Buppies removals to be successful.

I hope your bleeding gets stopped. Can you use super glue?

Great pictures guys. We don't get much for fall colors down here. Post oak and pecan tree leaves just turn ugly brown.

Rich, was it cold?

Thanks for prayers for my daughter. She needs them right now.

Hope all of you have a blessed day.
