Good morning!!!!

Good morning all. The sun is shining again, so I am back to working on the outside of the workshop. Have a few more pieces of steel to cut out at the gable end, then can make a start on replacing the bricks that are damaged.

Some more great pictures of leaves on the turn

LS, thanks for your kind offer to take the wood burning range away, however I would prefer it to stay where it is, not least because it weighs a third of a ton. It seemed a real extravagance at the time we bought it, costing somewhere around 3,500 pounds, though it has given a lot of pleasure in those last 8 years and I hope to be around to enjoy it's warmth for a few more years to come.

I see Esse range cookers are also on sale in America and Canada - this is a more upmarket model than ours, with a glass inner door to the firebox and an extra oven. Click on the colour of your choice to see the price The ESSE 99 is a stylish wood burning stove – Wood Fired Cook Stoves North America

Our firearms regulations are indeed onerous and they keep on getting worse. One of the reasons I started reloading was the restrictions on keeping ammunition. Fortunately there are no significant restrictions on primers, bullets or powder, I just have to show my certificate and can then buy as much as I want.

We have a big issue at the moment with many police forces starting to demand a letter from a doctor that says we aren't crazy before they will renew our firearms certificates, even though no laws insist on that. It hasn't been well thought through, as shooters with even mild depression will be much less likely to go to the doctor to get help. Some doctors who don't like anyone to own guns are refusing to write the letter, or make their fees extortionate and for those living in rural areas, finding another doctor is often not at all easy.

Roy, better than Christmas ? :)

55 heading to upper 70's today. Should be a great day to move some dirt around.

Managed to work on the porch ceiling again and the pasture fence lines yesterday. Pulled up one old telephone post that was hiding by a cedar. The rest were just cedar posts hiding in cedars. Yeah, some of our cedars on what was the fence line are big and wide. Also found a 12 foot lead pipe, back there not sure what it was doing. Maybe water? Those cedars hid all sorts of stuff.

I plan on taking it easy when the sun comes up, and just see if I can finish the porch ceiling today. The vinyl siding should be showing up today. I think I see the end of this project coming. Should have done it 15 years ago when we remodeled the house. But you all know, time and money.

Hope all have a great day. Be safe.

Buppies, better days ahead...

unpacked box of Royal Daulton china, put it all in dishwasher, got down to very last plate in box and it was chipped.
so I have to box it all back up again and take it to closest Kohls that apparently has a deal with Amazon to accept returns.
Too bad, really nice china, Ellen Degeneres brand which means nothing to me...but nicely made. Too bad Amazon can't ship this stuff without breaking it.
Had hoped they would replace just the broken plate, nope, back it all goes and try, try again.

Poured first cup of coffee. 55° with light rain this morning. Heading to 50° with cloudy skies. Did not get much done yesterday. Catching up on missed conserve energy time. Going to try and get some grocery shopping done today. Then see what happens after that.
Yesterday morning sunrise.

:welcome: Henry Juan to Good Morning thread.

Eric, nice range. When I was around 12 I spent the summer at a dairy farm. They had a range very similar for cooking. Sure did get warm in the kitchen during hot summer days. They had a kerosene burner for canning.

Buppies, $2500 to pump septic out? :confused3:

Drew, hope they can help your back. Good to hear move in is still going good.

Riptides, sounds like someone used area under cedars as a place to dump things. Good that is porch is getting done.

Roy, hope tractor is the way you want it.

David, going to take a break from grass cutting?

Ken, hope you get money back without to much pain.

Randy, Ellen wants to go where?

RS, a machine shop should be able to fix a undersized hole in yoke. I see ads on FB Marketplace to do machining.

RNG, you can post all you want at 5am. If I do not catch any errors someone on the team will do it.

Luther, no raking for me. Blower and Trak-Vac gets is done.

Everyone stay healthy and safe.

Good Morning All.

Not sure about your area. UPS stores a much closer than Kohls to me. I just put item in a box and drop it off. Amazon sends me a email with a scan code. When I get to UPS they scan the code. They give me a receipt. If refund is coming. I get it in my account before I get home.

usually yes, but I have to drive right past the Kohls this morning, will see how convenient it is, hopefully won't have long line at customer service, already printed out labels and put them on box, should be just a drop off. In the past there was a super nice independent UPS shipping place in NC, always went there

Good Morning All.

Ron, she might be giving me a hint!

Drew, my fine China has ‘Dixie’ on the rim.

Got my grass mowed yesterday, still trying to decide if I should pull the deck off yet.
Need to spray driveway and other assorted places one last time.
Looks like it’s going to be a cool rainy day for our PA trip tomorrow, I’d rather go to Carolina but it’s not my birthday.
Buppies, shouldn’t your insurance pay for the car? Good luck going forward, yours hasn’t been great lately.

Have a good and God bless.
