What a glorious morning! Yes, it feels like fall. I hope it is a LONG Fall...

Thermostat says it is 59 outside! the house has cooled and the air smells great.

My legal tam feels tomorrows hearing is pointless and a waste of money, hopefully that means it does not go badly for me... I am extremely nervous, I think she is trying to reduce my visitation (I'm trying to get more time with my kids)... I know God is in charge, and he has a good plan, I just wish I was read in on it...

Irv & Larro (and anyone else like Gary, and ?) - you and your family members are in my prayers. Healing and peace to all.
Drew, I'm a bit jealous of your new adventure. I am eager to restart my life as well...

Be well all,
David

60F with misty drizzle hanging on.

Larro, glad you got your Mom closer to home. That's sure to be a big help.

I need a plan for today.

57 this AM. I checked the pool for water levels last night, no addition needed. That was a lot of water we all had. Looks to be in the low 80's today.
The water damage to the bathroom drywall is going to be a fun fix. I got a toilet hanging up there. It's the old fashion kind. Nothing like moving plumbing just to fix drywall. Oh well....

Hope everyones day turns for the better. Be safe outside.

58 degrees and clear here ... with sunny skies with high of - get this - 69 degrees - predicted for today ... in August ...

Been going flat out trying to get things completed in the shed, so I can get started running some bead and gluing stuff together.

Woke up around 14:00 on Tuesday and worked until about 20:00 last night before calling it quits. Falling asleep was no problem ... and I slept like a log.

Over the last couple of days I've gotten a bunch of tools cleaned and put away. Also have been cutting angle for the sawhorse legs. Ran into a bit of an issue with that, when the bandsaw started cutting weird. Turns out the blade was cracked ... so I ended up going thru the saw: replaced the drive belt and the blade, adjusted the blade tracking, and adjusted the blade roller guides. Bit of a trick to get the roller guides set correctly ... you have to twist/turn the roller guides on their mounting to get the blade completely perpendicular to the work piece. That part isn't in the manual.

I'll finish up trimming sawhorse legs today and then cut a couple of sections of 2" Schedule 80 for tool stands for the vise and tubing bender. Got the anchors for the vise base at the hardware store yesterday so I might them stuck in the floor ... if I can get the base plate for the stand cut and drilled. Got a section of 1 1/2" Schedule 80 cut the other day for the tractor side SSQA. Need to pull the bucket off the loader so I can cut the brackets off the bucket.

Got several air hoses cleaned up and repaired. Also got the Milwaukee angle grinder cleaned up of 10+ years of accumulated crud, in preparation of pulling it apart to inspect the brushes and repack the gear case with grease. Also cleaned up all the nailers and got them put away.

Picked up a package of .035 tips for the MIG yesterday, along with a new nozzle and the part it screws onto ... need to replace those today and check the liner - which I think may be the original.

Also started building a little jig for working (grinding, welding, etc.) with pipe ... nothing special (non-motorized), just four fixed casters, mounted upside down on a board ... will finish that today.

Hopefully get back to putting away fasteners and small parts into drawers so I can get that rear work bench cleared off.

Good to hear everyone is safe and sound after the recent bad weather and that the parents are now apparently getting the correct and appropriate care.

300,

Hope your sister's health issues are resolved quickly.

MFW,

Good luck on your job search.

Drew,

You're on quite the adventure there ...

You've got a few years on me I think, and I can't even imagine packing it up and moving again. You're a far better man than I ...

Enjoy the journey.

Time for the second cup.

Good Morning. 1020, partly cloudy, 88F with 58% humidity. Forecast high of 93F this afternoon, and a low of 72F tonight. Our temp isn't all that low, but the low humidity will make the heat index more bearable. No real plans for the day after I pick my garden and Mamma's, other than going into work {lobby plants and a set-up} for a few hours, then taking Margie out to eat if she is up to it. If not, I will go in and do my set-up tomorrow. The event is Saturday, and I don't have anything between now and then. Mamma said she was going to work on walking even when they don't have her doing rehab. But I think they will have her too tired to be burning up the hallways.

52 degrees windy, cloudy and I don't think it will get out of the 50's!
Yes, summer as we knew it is coming to an end.

This made me channel my inner Jerry Garcia and sing a few bars of U. S. Blues. "Wave that flag. Wave it wide and high. Summertime has come and gone, my oh my."

68F and .25 inches last 24 hours. Pretty blue sky, but some overcast over the Pacific

Plan to get some outside stuff done today. Removal of a good size banana patch the priority.

Hope the improved health fairy has visited all in need of her.

Be safe
Have a great day

back home in PA, had to change and get over to the realtor's to sign the agreement.
Done...
lot of inspections.
home inspection as early as this Saturday.
let's see, probably ought to get that meth cracker out of the basement, turn off the grow lights (he won't know what they are if they are off)
and all that old motor oil I drained down in the back,
I'm sure they won't find that. or my prize personal collection of various PCB's extracted from old electric transformers.
But if he finds anything, Fred, my two foot tall termite will bite his butt and carry him away!
that should teach those nasty inspectors to write anything bad, or they'll turn into
worm food too!

boy do I need a nap. that big comfortable bed is calling.

50 right now...high of 65 predicted with a 40% chance of rain.

I started mowing when I got home yesterday...hope the rain holds off so I can continue this afternoon.

Got the banana patch clean out. Used the flail mower to reduce the stumps. Wife happy :)

image-2361030230.jpg

Moved over to trim other bananas and managed to get a very fibrous truck wrapped up in mower that grappled on to the fender shaft in front - bent beyond fixing, had to cut to remove, will have to replace.

Another nice mid-50s morning with a crisp 81 forecasted. Can't beat this for August when you're painting and doing other outside work.

I'm sure this great weather will make a home inspection go well.

morning all. Slept 10 hours I was so tired. Home inspections and Guido, well close, all the Guidos I know are over in Joisy near Hoboken.
naw, this house will pass fine.

even though I signed the agreement, the realtor told me to allow the showing this afternoon so once again I have to vacate. Beginning to get creative on things to do when evicted from one's home. Then I told her no more showings, people showed up last night after I had fallen asleep, albeit early, and I had never been told of the appt.
not again. Being woken up in one's underwear hearing voices downstairs is just not a pleasant affair. I know I'm supposed to continue to allow showings, but in this case, no, my privacy is more important and the buyer seems solid.

during my eviction phase today I will take the truck and trailer over to my friend's farm and leave the trailer there. Need to load my wood splitter on it, a tiller, and whatever Bekins does not take.
