Got the shop cleaned up, then pulled the tractor in to put on the tooth bar. Took a while to drill the holes through the hardened front edge, but got it done.

Then went to TSC to pick up our supply of wood pellets for the upcoming winter. I am glad that I did! ... the store manager told me they sold 41 out of 45 pallets they had in the last 3 days. Their next load won't come in until November 1st....

Then started clearing a spot in the garage to store the pellets. (I carelessly filled the spot where they were last year with a bunch of oak boards, 15 gals of hydraulic fluid, and a rolling tool box). I moved everything but the oak.... I'll do that tomorrow, then hump 50 - 40 lb bags off the trailer and into the garage corner. At least both my sons are home tomorrow to help.... maybe they will do all the "humping of the pellets" after all, it is LABOR DAY!:D

TSC here doesn’t carry lignetics. They are my favorite. I need to get some. Here they run close to $300 ton

Last year, the only place I could get the Lignetics was the specialty fireplace shops, at around $400 /ton. This was the first time that I have seen them at TSC.... when I heard the price, I told the wifey and she said "go get them today!" ..... we got them at $250 a ton!

Oh, unfortunately, there was no video of him getting slimed..... he just put the video equipment away after doing a segment on "detailing my parents car"... bad timing.

good morning all. A "chilly" 61 out now, actually had to turn a little heat on in rv
Going up to mid 80's today, just lovely low humidity weather that I think is about to turn

Since the barbecue grill is out, and I haven't cleaned it yet...might as well keep barbecuing; today will be
chicken. The angus burgers came out really nicely, very low fat and didn't mess up the grill much.

read on another thread that Mollala's back operation was successful and six weeks later he got back on his tractor.
Gingerly I'm sure...

Only thing planned for today is washing my car early on. The dry weather has kicked up a lot of dust from campground earth moving and
when I took a trip into bank yesterday, realized the car was coated in dirt. Am really looking forward to getting car back in garage after the move, sitting
out in this blazing hot sun isn't doing the finish any good.

Happy Labor Day!

Up way too early for a holiday!! But, I forgot to turn my alarm off (0315) so, been up for a couple hours...

48 right now...going to be a fairly warm day with a high at 80.

No particular plans...wife and stepdaughter might want to grill. I'm probably going to take those lower limbs off the pine tree I wrote about yesterday. Since I have the chipper rigged to the Deere, may as well make use of it.
But, right now...think it's time to hit the rack for a few hours...

big fire in California set off by smokebombs used in "gender reveal" party.
Had to look that up and boy did I have it wrong. Has to do with whether baby is boy or girl.
My first thought was some kind of "coming out" party for LBGT... nope.
7000 acres burned, hope someone gets fined.

Thomas, you need to try that Connemara Irish Whiskey and one of those smooth cigars! The whiskey is peaty (smoky) and I think would be very good with a quality cigar. The whiskey isn't cheap...about 40 bucks...but as an occasional treat, definitely worth the money

I'll get it whirl oh about month almost full bottle spirit left.

Good morning all.

Ron, that was a really nice glow in the sky to end the day.

Reminds me of when I tried to "enhance" (fake?) pictures long ago with a film camera, when you didn't get to see the prints until days later

Red sky at night,
Sheppherds delight
Red sky in morning
*#*! - left the lens filter on!

before I could tell him that what he was about to do wasn't a good idea, he shoved a small screwdriver up into the hole..... WHOOOOSSSHHHH!!!
He was instantly slimed with brown thick goo.... from his pant legs up to his head.... slicked his hair back like it was the 50's.....
Priceless !

RNG, not sure if this helps, but with most scopes having the chassis connected to ground, for quick low frequency waveform checks I would not need to use the probe ground clip at those sorts of voltages on house wiring. If that video was showing the probe ground lead clipped on to neutral, then in my books that would be bad practice. It will cause any out of balance difference in voltage between neutral and ground to pass a current through the probe screen and through the scope chassis. As well as possibly tripping a ground leakage breaker, it may also give a false reading, where what you see on the screen is not the same as exists when the scope is not connected.

L4N, if that unwanted shifting and hunting is happening on many trucks, then the manufacturers need someone with your experience to help them redesign the auto box controller. Maybe they need to recruit a new software guy too who hasn't spent all his life on flat ground. :)
