Good morning!!!!

Yesterday my son and I did some compressor maintenance and moved its location in the shop. He opened up the drain valve on the bottom (something that I always put off until tomorrow) and only a few drops oozed out. He then removed the entire valve assembly..... just a slight hiss and a few more drops.... mmmm.....

Then before I could tell him that what he was about to do wasn't a good idea, he shoved a small screwdriver up into the hole..... WHOOOOSSSHHHH!!!
He was instantly slimed with brown thick goo.... from his pant legs up to his head.... slicked his hair back like it was the 50's.....

I could not help but laugh out loud... hard! He even had to laugh after the initial shock wore off.... my guess is about a gallon of that gunk shot out in about 5 seconds.... there was a metal pan under the compressor which helped to perfectly direct the fluid at him....

We were still laughing about it a few hours later. It will be remembered for a long time..... one of those father / son stories for sure....

..

Can’t wait to see him post that video.

Eric, that’s worth considering. I discounted as I don’t wakeup with the pain. At one point I reasoned it was more after doing my bike, so next morning I skipped the bike, no difference. Wife has her own theories, but could just be trying to irritate me in wifey fashion.

Drew, when I lived on Oahu, the choice was pineapple or sugar cane, vast expanses of both. Pineapple near the post, cane near where I lived, both on the drive between.

Wngsprd that was my second attempt. 1st a couple weeks ago should have baked longer. Can’t really tell in pic but those are white pineapple. Heard they don’t ship well so not widely available. Sophie replants most of the crowns for her crop.
Next one gonna try chocolate cake.

As for your "normal" comment, I'm not quite sure how I should take that.

Ha,
Nomal people do not connect their oscilloscope to their electrical panel or live in California.:D

I can move the hub closer to the station but them I'll have to get another UPS.

As a DIYer I致e put down or helped to put down 15 wood floors. My brother spent way over $100 on knee pads, don稚 work. I知 building a new house on slab and sooner or later will put down some kind o& floor.

If you go under the cabinets you will use a lot more material but won稚 have to be too careful with your end cuts.

In the past I致e always been redoing a floor, not new construction so I butt up to the cabinet kick plate and put down base.

1 thing I learned the hard way. If you are going over an existing wood floor, You must put down plywood first. I cheated once and went right over the osb. The osb drys out, the nails loosen and you got wavy floors! I also leave a little room on the ends cause, the floor moves!

If I were to put down a wooden floor on an existing wooden floor, I壇 nail it and glue it! Probably a waste of time and money but, no wavy floors!

Good luck

Thanks, haven’t decided what route to take yet

Buckeye, glad you got mower running.

Pretty sunrise.

Glad mower ran also. Will need new battery. Couldn’t get the clutch/brake switch out.

The white wires are open contacts that close with brake on. One wire comes from ignition switch, other goes to solenoid. I jumpered it at other ends of white wires to bypass, yet when I put a meter on it, it seems to be working. The other 2 wires interlock with seat switch.

I can move the hub closer to the station but them I'll have to get another UPS.

Before you do that, see if you can simulate the fault condition with a lawn sprinkler. If it only happens with the station is wet, it's probably a waterproofing issue. If the problem persists with a dry station, the rain drops are attenuating the radio signal.

If it's radio signal attenuation, find out what kind of radio signal it is. If the Tempest is using your WiFi network to communicate with its base station/hub, you can try adding a range extender to your WiFi network. They're fairly inexpensive, but pay close attention to the Amazon reviews because some of them get much better recommendations than most of the others. If the Tempest uses a proprietary radio link, and they make an extender, see what other Tempest users are saying about it on the Tempest themed user forums. If you're having problems, you're probably not the only one, and somebody else has probably already figured out a solution.

FWIW, Davis uses a proprietary radio link between their weather stations and the base unit, and the signal is quite strong. Here, the station is about 30' east of the garage, and the base unit is in the office, 70' west of the garage and through four walls, one of which is stucco with an embedded wire mesh that acts as a Faraday cage to attenuate radio signals.

And this normal person wouldn't be connecting an oscilloscope to his power panel if the contractor was competent enough to do it. I'll leave it at that, since this is a family forum...

FEL and box blade removed, MMM installed, air intake screens cleaned, engine oil, hydraulic fluid and front axle gear oil checked ... all systems nominal ...

Well, except the front double pivot bar for the MMM was missing a pin and the retaining ring.

Not sure how that could have escaped ... the pin should have been retained with the anti-scalp roller on there ... :confused3:

Will have to add those to the list, along with two more gauge wheels next week.
